Just awful. Basically pretty much what every one else has said. Customer service unable to help as the store (Crystal Palace) kept 'dropping the line'. Items seem to be at least 25% more expensive tha... ãã£ãšèŠã

Second time was this Monday ⊠also got a text saying cancelled but ignored it and then it said on App delivered ! It hadnât been delivered , called customer services to find, passed to store , store cannot confirm who had picked the items even though it was 30 minutes prior, couldnât confirm if it was handed to a driver , couldnât confirm anything other than they could see that it hadnât been signed for at my end, told to call Chop Chop for refund as they cannot reinstate me or refund me from store, called Chop Chop, informed someone would be in touch with refund but no one has been in touch, no refund , no groceries and out of pocket ! Iâm disgusted really as imagine that was an elderly person with no more money left in their bank and no food in their cupboards to feed them and canât get out due to health concerns, theyâd have to starve , itâs unethical ! Contact me Chop Chop I want my money back ! Fuming - 0 stars from me
Nice in principle but not in practice
Nice in principle, but how I wish I'd read the reviews.
Decided to get a 60min lunchtime delivery to a family member who was dealing with a bereavement. Order went through fine, went to picking my order....then nothing. No delivery and no update. Sainsbury's live online want you to talk to their Chop Chop partners...who don't want to talk to me because I'm not the name on the delivery. Rang their helpline four times in total. First time they said they were waiting for it to be picked up, once they said they couldn't hear me, and the other two times they were unable to advise.
Eight hours later and I've given up hope. There's not even an option to cancel my order so I'm just going to let it run it's course and hope that my grieving family don't get rudely awakened in the middle of the night with stale groceries.

Order cancelled because they didnât have a driver. Still waiting for my refund five days later. No food and no money to purchase from elsewhere. This order was for my 83 year old mum as she is house bound. Very poor service and wonât be using them again. If they canât find a driver they shouldnât take your money until itâs out for delivery. Very, very angry and had to ring three different numbers to make a complaint and still havenât had a reply. This service should be removed from the Sainsburys app

Shocking took my money. Were meant to deliver to my 90 year old mum when someone was there to help her. Offered me free delivery next time LOL. Won't refund for 2 days. Wasted time to customer service who couldn't contact the store and suggested I did. They should delete the App.

Five days later I still havenât been refunded. Taking payment instantly, cancelling orders, and holding onto customersâ money is unacceptable.
This isnât a one-off â itâs repeated poor service, poor communication, and zero accountability. I will not use Chop Chop again, and this experience has put me off Sainsburyâs entirely.
Fix the refund. Fix the service. Do better.

Just before the hour was up we received a text saying the order had been cancelled because the driver was unable to complete delivery. All she would say was the text was for Sainsburyâs not for me, so why was it sent to me? Eventually it did arrive ten minutes late (which seems pretty good based on other reviews). To add insult to injury the code Sainsburys gave me to get free delivery didnât work.

Massive disappointment
Waited an hour and the order was not even picked. I called customer service and they told me they have no access to call the store and told me to call another 3rd party. This is supposed to be a 60minute order? When I expressed my disappointment with this service the call centre person just said nothing. I will not be using chop chop again. Massively disappointed.

If I could give this app minus stars I would! Order didn't turn up. Received a text to say they rang the doorbell and no answer (they didn't). To cut a long and unbelievable story short after 5 phone calls trying to get a refund, they finally refunded 'part' of my money back to my credit card minus the delivery charge. Another phone call to get the delivery charge back and told you'll have to wait another 5 days (this is after they asked me would I like it in vouchers or a gift card!! As if I'd use them again!) So let's see if that happens. If it does that'll be 18 days and 5 phone calls to get my money back and no food at the end of it! I wonder who is receiving all this food that never gets delivered...mmm I'll take one guess! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

Absolutely disgusted by what has just happened. My mother, who is nearly 90 years old, ran out of some supplies when unfortunately I was on holiday and all other family live away. My brother, who normally does an online order with Sainsburyâs every week, decided to try chop chop and get her the supplies she needed. Everything seemed to be going smoothly when I received a text from him advising me that they had refused to give mam the groceries and the order was cancelled, I couldnât believe it I thought mam must have got it wrong, so he ordered them again, this time when the order was going to be delivered he talked with mam on the phone and when the driver came mam gave him the phone and he spoke to the driver, even though he told them the circumstances the driver told him that because he wasnât there he couldnât deliver the items and took the items back. This has now left my mam very upset and confused by what has happened and without the items she needed, surely the drivers can use their common sense, he could obviously see she was an elderly lady and especially as my brother actually spoke to him, why was this order not delivered.
A complete let down when I needed it most
My mother is elderly and is starting to get confused easily, we arrange a regular weekly delivery from Sainsburyâs every week for her and she loves this service. Today none of the family was nearby when she said sheâd ran out of milk. The perfect chance to try Sainsburyâs Chop Chop I thought. The first order I placed was quickly cancelled after it was out for delivery, I phoned my mother and she was totally confused said someone arrived but wouldnât give her the order. I placed the order again and this time when it was out for delivery I talked to her on the phone so I was on the line when they arrived. She passed the phone to the driver and she insisted she could only deliver to me as I placed the order. The complaints line confirmed I was right and the delivery person could deliver to anyone over 18 (sheâs 90!) but after two failed attempts Iâm not using them again unless they give me some reassurances. Unfortunately this has left my mam confused and without milk she doesnât understand that these drivers donât work for Sainsburyâs and is upset that she experienced this particularly when the drivers of the regular service have been good to her
First time ordering from Sainsbury'sâŠ
First time ordering from Sainsbury's Chop Chop. I used the app, placed the order. Half an hour later I get a notification that the order had been cancelled. I then get an email 5 minutes later stating it had been delivered.
I contacted Sainsbury's who stated the driver had reported I was unavailable and was taking the order back to the store. This was not the case. I did not have a missed call, they did not knock on the door. There was no attempt made to make contact with me.
I then had to push for further investigation. The person on the phone contacted the store and in actual fact the order did not get picked up in the first place.
I now have to wait 3-5 days for a refund.

What a dreadful experience
What a dreadful experience. First time I have used Sainsburyâs chop chop and I wonât be supporting their store or app any longer. I ordered on the app and had part of my order delivered. However, I was still charged for missing items costing £178. I contacted customer help who wanted to speak with the store themselves (did not take my word for the missing items). Eventually got back to me to say the store acknowledged this was their error. I now have to wait for 3-5 days for a £178 refund. There was no offer to send the driver back out with the missing items. I will now need to order from elsewhere. Sainsburyâs - shame on you. You make an error, donât correct it and leave me out of pocket for days. Very disappointed indeed. Donât use.

This was so bad itâs actually laughable, order accepted and 50 minutes later the drives texts to say heâd at the store but they have no order for me despite it being confirmed and a driver despatched.
Called customer service who put me on hold for ten minutes to say the store is looking for a driver! Add to the mix I couldnât understand what the call handler was saying. First and last time Iâll use them.

Horrendous experience!
Delivery driver sent a message saying they were outside when they werenât (I walked up and down my road checking and have a video doorbell showing no attempt at delivery was made). When I tried to contact them I couldnât get through. I contacted Chop Chop and at first they said they couldnât hear me (even though they were answering my basic questions). Then I get a notification that the order has been cancelled by the driver. Contacted Chop Chop again and they said I wonât get a refund for 3-5 days so now not only am I out of food, but I also canât replace it because theyâve taken the money. They havenât even confirmed that they will refund! Horrendous experience.
Too unreliable to use
Too unreliable to use. Ordered 10 items as too ill to go to shop. Received confirmation that order was successful and in progress. Then after 35 mins got email saying it was cancelled with no explanation and phoneline no help either. Won't use again.

All appears well until check out. Then just revolves. Customer service said they knew about the problem and to try again in two hours. Same again. This time customer service denied there was a problem and said they would report it.
Useless! Do not waste your time.
