Leftist propaganda.

I think it's interesting no one has yet written a review for DutchNews and NLTimes, the two main English language news sites in the Netherlands. They've both been around for a long time.

Anyway, I have mostly stopped reading DutchNews, because I found the 'fake news' too annoying. By this I mean the 'embedded advertising' in articles written for payment. There are some articles marked as advertising, or partner content, but others clearly advertising and not marked. These sometimes promote organic food, PAN (pesticide action network), some awards like misleading advertising awards, and often promote other commercial interests.

Since this website publishes a lot of translated articles from Dutch news sources, it's often easy to see what's written for hire 'fake news', because it's not also published in Dutch.

The plus side of this site is they often have content relating to real expats. For example articles written by expats, interviews and the editor is an expat herself.

While understandable, this is a very 9-5 website. News is only published on weekdays during the day. It's rarely updated evenings, nights, holidays and weekends, unless there is really breaking news. This is another reason I mostly look elsewhere for my news.
