I am still waiting 5 months later...

I am still waiting 5 months later...
No updates, no communication, no tracking, no CHAIR. This chair has cost over $300 and now it's too late to get a refund. How is this company operating legally? If you go to the message boards for this campaign, there are countless complaints all saying the same thing. They just stole our money. I will never use Kickstarter again.

Wife is a kickstarter back whom is being completely ignored and I believe scammed out of her money. No responses to repeated emails and no sign of any help coming. I think this company is a giant scam and I will continue to report dispute and reach out to any avenue until my wife gets the chair she ordered or her money back

another customer, another invisible chair.
No tracking number. Not enough updates. The comments here, on kickstarter, their socials from many disgruntled buyers should be enough to warn you. I was giving the benefit of the doubt, I thought I would wait patiently. But now I am doing a chargeback on my credit card. This product is MONTHS late. Which would be understandable if they were better with their communication. This is the most shambolic project, I don't see how it isn't a scam.

I've come back again to rate this product because Kickstarter doesn't seem to want to actually do what they say they will and verify that Creators do what they promise. It's been about two months since I received any information on my chair, and this seems to be pretty much the general consensus. While some have gotten their chairs, a majority of us haven't even gotten shipping information. Also, this company's support email never works even though they say they email us back. Don't be fooled by any Newtral comments in here, they do not answers us and their emails they say they saend absolutely aren't just sitting in spam. These are all just lies. I will continue to go after this company until they fix their sales or they stop their Kickstarter campaigns and scamming people.

NT002 Product and Delivery Review

I’m really enjoying the Newtral NT002! Initially, I was a bit concerned about the delivery time after reading some reviews, but Jimin provided excellent support with prompt and clear communication throughout. To my surprise, the chair arrived even faster than expected.

After spotting a better attachable table on the Newtral website, I decided to return mine, covering the return delivery charges — and that was a smooth transaction as well.

As for the chair itself, it’s a real treat for the lower back. While it’s not designed for sleeping reclines, it’s perfect for leaning back and watching movies with your legs extended. As a work-focused chair, it ticks all the right boxes. If you're looking for solid back support, this is a great choice!

I had backed the freedom-x chair

I had backed the freedom-x chair. It looked interesting and I was interested in supporting the idea to get it off. I honestly forgot for a while until I got the email that shipping would be increased due to a miscalculation.

Sure, I get it and it was in the fine print that this was a possibility. What set me off was the second shipping increase in the span of a month due to tariffs. Nevermind the chairs were already made and supposedly in the US already. It sounds to me that that cost should've been offset to the final price of the chairs and not pushed off to your supports who had already paid beyond the agreed upon price. I had requested a refund, I was brushed off and resent the price increase email.

I finally got the chair, I missing two of the three additional accessories I signed up for. And as for the chair? Honestly not worth the $200+ save your money and invest in a more transparent company.

Inconsistent Return Policies & Poor Customer Transparency

I purchased a chair from Newtral Chair and was surprised to find that their return policy varies significantly between their printed manual and their website. The manual, which came with the product, failed to include critical information about the return process—specifically that once the chair is assembled, it cannot be returned. This important detail was only listed on their website, which I was not directed to consult before assembly.

When I reached out for a return, as the chair was broken and dirty. I was told I could only receive replacement parts as the product was not in it's original packaging and a partial refund, despite the fact that their own manual lacked this return restriction. To me, this felt like a classic case of a company enforcing stricter policies after the fact, while ignoring the documentation they provided to the customer at the time of delivery. Not to mention, how would I have seen the defects if it was in the original packaging?

This does not begin to cover the low quality product that they are marketing as a high end ergonomic office chair.

If you are looking to purchase I would highly reconsider.

Pure scam

Early backer on kickstarter, they got my money but I don't have a chair... Thus they "prioritized my shipping".
No replies to mails or DMs, not an update on Kickstarter... They collected millions and just scammed a whole bunch of people. Don't trust!!!

Receiving a chair at all would be like winning the lottery at this point

I saw the x-freedom chair on Instagram being advertised via a review post and tried looking into the brand to see if this brand was legit or not. They seemed legit and it looks like the chair is the finished prototype so it's not just a concept. I really liked the design so I took the risk.

The first mistake I made was paying a deposit to secure my spot. They said it'll be refunded but I never received my money back. This company just disregards whatever info you give them since I told them the email I used to make the deposit is different from my kickstarter account. I told them again that I never received my refund and they said to message them in DM on kickstarter. I gave them my info again and they proceeded to ghost me and every backer.

I backed this project back in December 2024. I'm backer 143 and apparently I should've just waited the last minute to put in a pledge since the backer numbers doesn't matter. Late backers in the 3000s were getting their chair before the early ones.

They kept pushing the deadlines back, ignoring backers' concerns, and gaslighting us about the tracking no one is getting. Their original email stopped working and the only way we were told the new email address was through their copy-pasted response on here.

This is not my first kickstarter so I am aware of what I'm getting into but the lack of transparency is so annoying. In their latest update, they didn't acknowledged us at all and still haven't fixed the tracking issue.

They used a lot of kickstarter project promoters and third-party services which caused a lot of issues when we tried to pay for shipping. The amount of junk mail I got from these promoters was ridiculous. I remember trying to find all the opt-out options before I confirmed anything so I know I didn't opt for these emails.

I will never back this company again and I hope future backers see these reviews before making the mistake. People are still having issues with getting refunds. If I received my chair, I'll update my review.

UPDATE: I have received my chair. Never received tracking for it at all. It just showed up. It's a bit awkward to assemble by yourself. Not sure why they put the optional booster piece as a separate part of the installation and not include it in the manual so we know that it's there as someone trying to follow the manual. By the time I noticed what it was for, I couldn't pull the chair off the base. I wish the chair had a bit more height so I'm not sure how much of a difference that booster piece would've made. The levers for them were awkward to reach as a small person. The laptop fold out table was not very easy to fold out and other backers said theirs was too filmsy to support a laptop. The 1 positive I can say about this whole experience was that the chair came with all the parts and in the shade I ordered. Some backers had their chairs arrived in the wrong colour and missing parts. The chair also arrived at the right time as I recently got a new desk and had to use a broken chair.

Even though I've received my product, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. It was stressful knowing that the company is ghosting their customers and are not being straightforward with their backers. They waited a month before telling us there was an issue with the orange chairs which was going to impact the shipment of the other colours. They said tracking has been provided but most of us never received any. We kept saying that we are not receiving the tracking and they continued to not acknowledge the issue. The most we got was that they were "working on it".

“No Product, No Updates, No Accountability – Is This a Scam?”

I’ve reached out to this company several times for actionable information on the status of their shipments.

The first time was May 6th,I received a response on May 8th stating my order was in the second round of shipments, and that once my order arrived at the port, I would receive a tracking number.

May 13th I responded to them suggesting they share information on the shipping vessel. Where it shipped from and where it’s going to so people could have some sense of where their investment was at. No response.

Reached out again June 3rd. No response.

Reached out yet again on June 10th. No response.

Looking at the comments on Kickstarter, seems to be a lot of the same experience. No responses to messages or emails, no tracking information, and very few chairs showing up.

I have zero reason to believe at this point that this is anything but a scam. If they had actually shipped these items in a large quantity like they claim to have done, this would be extremely easy for them to pass that information along to their backers. Instead, they take the tact of ignoring or giving vague responses with zero actual information.

I’ve filed a report with Kickstarter and I’ll be contacting my credit card company to do a chargeback. I can be patient if I’m being told the truth about a situation, as I perfectly understand things happen, especially with overseas shipping and customs, but there is ZERO excuse for poor communication when issues come up.

Communication and transparency are terrible.

TL:DR. A company can't always control production timelines, but they can control how they communicate with customers.

I understand how Kickstarter works. If the campaign goal isn't met, you don't get anything. I also understand these are often young companies and that there are production roadblocks. These aren't tried-and-true products. Things go wrong.

I didn't worry when Newtral said production was delayed ... until about the 4th time they said it. By then, I'd paid an additional $85 for shipping. They've posted very sporadic updates, and those updates contain misinformation (i.e. we have put all your tracking numbers in Pledgebox when they haven't).

No updates, unreachable for help

Backer #4.358 here. In Belgium.

We got an email all chairs in Europe should be shipped by now, but I have yet to receive a tracking number or chair.

We are trying to contact the creators and have been getting no respons.

The few messages I read about people getting the chair, have been of people reporting missing pieces.

It broke in under 3 days, hardly used!

We purchased the chair and it broke in less the 3 days.
We got the chair, after many months which we didn’t mind but when it did arrive the middle post looked VERY close to the floor and the setting base looked a bit flimsy.
Because of this I made sure we assembled it correctly and if there might be a small weight restriction but when we check we were all very much within the weight restrictions.
So thought maybe it would be fine.
No. On the third day the middle post has already pushed through and made contact with the floor. It drags, scratches and scrapes the hard floors.
It’s now a 1 legged chair that destroys the floor with 5 novelty wheels that serve no function.
This is a serious design issue and it means we can’t use the chair. It’s completely useless and taking up valuable space.
This is particularly upsetting because we waited many months with no office chair waiting for this one to arrive and now that it’s finally arrived we can’t use it or bin it and it’s in the way.
I feel terrible that I’m leaving a bad review on a kickstarter but it’s really not great.
We gave them the chance to fix the problem with a replacement or possible refund or change to a different model that actually works as a chair.
But it’s been 2 weeks we’re have no response at all, not even an acknowledgement of our contact.
We used the same contact details pre-purchase and they got back to us just fine in the past so we do feel we’re now being ignored.

Expensive mistake

Absolute regret is what I would describe my experience with Newtral. I'm backer #25.

I've been, like many others, lied to repeatedly as to the location of chairs, where they are, that they are being shipped, that I've got priority tracking, etc.

Official updates (which are rarely provided) directly contradict to what people were told in DMs as to the location of their chair, which is a huge red flag.

I cannot describe how little this company cares, from the half baked AI responses to the outright lies.

Inability to give tracking numbers should also have been a massive red flag.

seems like it's a scam and we've all been duped

I paid for this chair back in February on Kickstarter. I was only okay with even backing it because on Kickstarter, it looks like their last chair was a success. I should have looked at those comments first. They retro-charged us in the US for extra shipping fees, they waited weeks and weeks before sending updates, they're lying about tracking numbers. Folks are randomly getting chairs with no heads up, pieces are missing from those orders. Many of us have heard absolutely nothing and are still waiting to see if we'll even get a chair. The company is only responding randomly to comments or if they're responding here, it's a cut and paste message that is almost verbatim their previous "update" and is no help at all.

I would be glad to modify this review in the future, but since I have received no infos at all about my order, I have to be honest with the tristpilot comunity and let all people know that I cannot suggest buying from this company. the Freedom X design is incredibly clever, but the lack of transparency/comunication/customer support is unforgivable

I was told that my chair was shipped out as the second batch about month and a half ago. Recently they announced that tracking info was uploaded. I still have no tracking info or the chair. No one should ever consider purchasing from this company. The lack of communication is ridiculous.
