Bunch of liars.. Tried to sell me their crappy Mearth branded scooters after claiming that the scooter I had ordered will have a 3 months' waiting period.

Bait and switch scam tactics.
I requested a refund 7 days ago and got no response. STAY AWAY

Ordered and was told stock might arrive in 3 months, but may not have enough stock to meet the number of orders.
Tried to reach mutual agreement with other models, but they keep suggesting the same 3 models.
When I suggested other model, they were also out of stock.
When asked what the did have in stock they replied
"Just got off chatting with scootcity, trying to reach some middle ground, but did not work out and am canceling my order.
What really pushed me to this decision was, when asking what stock they even have, was this reply

"I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience it caused. I will have our Site department to up the available of the scooters. The remaining stocks we have is the Segway E22 and the Mearth S Pro and X Pro. Some models are tough to source nowadays due to the pandemic."

AVOID

Ordered on 24/12/2020 for "In Stock" Segway scooters. No updates for over a week. Spoke with them over their online chat and was told the following:

"Please be advised that the stocks have gone out quickly as expected due to overwhelming orders. Our supplier has advised a delay in the shipping and could take up to 3 months"

This was despite it clearly being marked as "In Stock" when I purchased online.

They then tried to get me to switch to an inferior product:

"1. Switch to Ninebot E22 ($749)
2. Switch to Mearth X Pro ($850) - has dual suspension and ambient lights
3. Free upgrade to Mearth S Pro ($1,099) - 32 kph max speed, 32 km max range intial upgrable to 45 km, how swappable batteries

These are all at no additional cost to you. This means you will not pay the price difference. These are in stock and can be sent now."

Poor customer service. I’ve placed an order with them before Christmas and I haven’t been able to contact them to get a status update on delivery.

Bait advertising. Selling stock they don't have and cannot fulfill. Take your money then email you offering other models, which are more expensive (not offering them at the same price). Absolutely avoid.

Ordered a ninebot max during their Christmas offer. A few days later, told that it was on backorder and unlikely to have stock for 3 months.

They offered to swap for some lame brand instead.

I ordered a ninebot max on 24th of Dec 2020 after I saw discount on ozbargain, no update, no shipping, nothing after 5 days.

This discount is advertised as xmas special, and this scammy company told everyone that there is 3 months wait and tries to sell us their more expensive models.

This is click and bait. Reporting to ACCC.

I ordered and paid for 4 "in stock" Segway scooters from scoot coty australia (which is owned by Mearth). As soon as I paid all 4 scooters went out of stock. They then told me that the Segway scooter would take 3-4 weeks to come into stock and offered to upsell me on a Mearth scooter for an additional $450 per scooter!
I said that id wait for the segway.
Segway never came into stock in the 4 weeks.
They kept trying to upsell me to their mearth model. They promised a direct courier on the day if i agreed to swap the segway for Mearth scooters.
Again, as soon as i agreed with the deal, the mearth scooters also went out of stock.
They then promised the scooters within 2 weeks. 3 weeks passed and they still havent been sent.
Requested refund and after 4 emails back trying to upsell me, they agreed to the refund and stated that it would take 5-10 businrss days to process...
16 days later, still no refund, no remitance advice and I am out of pocket nearly $3000.

Bad service
I have ordered and electric scooter online ...after receiving thanks you for your order and it has been sent ..I have received 2 day’s later an email telling me that the model I wanted was out of stock and they will send me a totally different one ...at this stage I have tried to call them and good luck if you do so no answer...( please note that the replacement scooter is accurately the same name that the company name Mearth) any I have responded by email not interested..and would like to be reimbursed, as I can get that scooter elsewhere...it has taken them and another day to answer me more or less the same email saying that the item I have ordered will take 3 to 4 weeks and I should take the other one ..it’s a better one anyway ...,all of these via email as no one ever pick up the phone ...on the 4 th day of the saga I have opened the case with Afterpay to be reimbursed...I’m now left with $800 to be reimbursed and have to order the items to another shop noting for my son birthday today as I have to wait few days for the money to come back to me ...I’m still waiting and apology on why are you advertising in stock on your web site ...and don’t have the item ..,Reading other reviews quite similar this company do pick the Mearth brand probably don’t stock any other brands at all
