Great for kids - I have been using this app with cards for my two kids for years and it is a perfect solution for paying pocket money and also so they have money in a pinch (ie catching a taxi home).

Debit card for kids
Great product for kids that need to pay for things without you being there. You have ultimate control over the pursestrings and they get some fun out of using their own card. Five stars Spriggy

I’m really happy with Spriggy
I’m really happy with Spriggy. I get instant notifications whenever my daughter spends, which gives me peace of mind. It’s much safer for young people than carrying cash, and I can easily stay on top of things, manage her spending, and top up when necessary. Great tool for both parents and kids.

Do not get this for your kids
Based on my experience, I believe the service does not meet the standards advertised, and may be misleading to consumers. I am reporting them to the ACCC
The advertised data toggle feature for child accounts is unreliable. In practice, it often takes up to 30 minutes to activate or deactivate, not the 15 minutes stated.
At least once a week, the data service fails entirely—either jamming or not activating at all—leaving children without access.
The support team has provided inconsistent and contradictory information, and in some cases, responses appear to be inaccurate or misleading.

I like that you can make saving goals…
I like that you can make saving goals and adjustments but it really upsets me that you can’t make a saving goal higher then $999

We do have a SPRK mode for kids who are 13+ which increases this limit to $4999 but we can understand if this isn't the right fit.

Works better than advertised
Works better than advertised. My kids love it. Giving them some independence and Education on money.
I work away and its great to interact with and set goals for them.
Highly recommend.

Fantastic Tool for Teaching Kids About Money
Spriggy has been a game changer for our family. It has made teaching my kids about budgeting, saving, and spending so much easier and fun. The app is simple to use, with a clear and colourful interface that my children understood straight away. I love how I can instantly transfer money, set savings goals with them, and track their spending in real time.
The prepaid card gives them a sense of independence while still allowing me to have oversight and set boundaries. The savings goals feature has really motivated my kids to think before they spend, and the ability to send quick top ups for chores or achievements is such a great bonus.
Customer service has been friendly and helpful whenever I have needed them, and everything feels secure and reliable.
Spriggy has turned money management into a positive learning experience, and I could not recommend it enough to any parent wanting to help their kids build great financial habits from a young age.
