Refuse to pay shipping on their error

Ordered front suspension for a BMW. Worked with their expert who put the package together. Then I checked their website to make sure the parts were right. Got the "thumbs up." Parts were for a different model year and chasis. I had to go to the suspension manufacturer's web site to figure it out. Asked for a return and documented the error by the ECS expert and the incorrect parts on the website. They want me to pay the shipping for the return of a heavy package. Kept asking the same questions about the car trying to show it was my error. Said I didn't specify the model - I gave them the VIN! -BMW 325i - that's the model, they don't even know about how BMW names its cars. Gave up and shipped it back on my dime. Might as well go to ebay they at least back up
Their vendors.

Terrible customer service

Part selection is great but customer service is horrible. I ordered a RacingLine Intake that did not come with the clamps 
CS asked to see a photo of them??? I told them I can’t show them a picture of something that doesn’t exist. They never replaced the issue.

I placed an order for 4 wheels made out of Germany for $2K. They told me @ time of sale, they were built out of Coopertino, Calif. After sale, they said they would ship in about 9 days from Germany! This outfit is shady as f#ck! Steer clear of them. Internet pirates in every sense of the word. I should have went with Discount Tire, or Tire Rack...these guys are terrible...

If I could give it zero stars I would. I handed over $590.08 for an oil filter housing, oil filter, cooling fans, OBDeleven and some other smaller things such as tools and oil. The order was made at night and by the next afternoon everything was shipped out. Timing on the original order was great. Ordered on 4/28 and received package on 5/1. However the OIL FILTER was missing. Included in the package was a packing slip stating the contents of the package. So I called ECS as soon as I opened the box. They stated, “yea, we will get one sent out to you.” This was on 5/1. As of today, 5/5, I called them to see if they can expedite the shipping as this was not my error. The individual stated there is nothing they can do. So now having fixed my car, I can’t even start it for 4 more days. Horrible customer service. I’ll take my money elsewhere.

I’ve had zero issues with ECS in the past 10 years. Availability of parts and pricing is better than most other retailers and their lifetime warranty is top notch.

APR Tune at ECS

I went to the ECS facility and had my Audi S8 tuned with the APR Sage 1 tune. Nelson walked me through the tune options to determine which performance upgrades best worked for me. 40 minutes later they were done and he walked me through the procedure for selecting the modes I would be able to use. Great service! Great price too on the mod. I’ve ordered from ECS over the last few years and have always been thoroughly happy with the process and the products. Excellent work!

This has to be the most horrifying


This has to be the most horrifying experience ever ordering anything on line. ESC Tuning is a. Highly dishonest company! I ordered a part that I desperately needed overnight. I paid $82 for overnight shipping, after having to create at PayPal acct that I didn’t want, but I desperately needed the part overnight to make it a crucial (life or death) medical appointment for a procedure that I waited a very long time to recieve. Needless to say, after all the trouble to pay $82 for an overnight delivery, they shipped the part and not only was it not shipped for overnight, but an entire week later. When I called and explained my complete situation, they could not have cared any less!! I have never in my life experience anything so unprofessional and with such lack of accountability and integrity! PLEASE, PLEASE stay away from this circus of an auto parts store. RUN! They apparently are also notorious for shipping wrong parts!!
Needless to say I missed my procedure
 and because of the far distance no Uber or Lyft service was an option.

Poor Customer Service

Prior to placing my order, I was emailing with one of the Sales reps to clarify some details on one of the items. After several days (which should have taken 5 minutes), he ultimately confirmed the details. Unfortunately upon receipt, the item was in fact not what I ordered. I contacted ECS to advise of the issue & asked them to once again confirm if they carried the exact item I was looking for. Similar to the initial request, I should have received confirmation within 5 minutes but after 4 days & at the time of this review I have yet to receive the courtesy of a response. Secondly, I placed two separate orders, both of which had the wrong state sales tax rate applied. I have contacted them four separate times over the course of a week & still awaiting for the issue to be corrected. I will likely look elsewhere for any future parts. They have been nothing but frustrating to deal with & not worth my time.

Ordered a part with expedited shipping


Ordered a part with expedited shipping that was deemed compatible for my vehicle. Once part was received, we realized it was not compatible and upon reaching out to customer service they confirmed it is not for my vehicle even though it was listed on their product page. They refused to refund the shipping for the order as it was still shipped within the guaranteed timeframe.

I recommend making sure parts are compatible elsewhere before purchasing anything and beware of the poor customer service.

I went to ECS (virtually) to get brakes


I went to ECS (virtually) to get brakes for my wife's 2018 Audi Q5. I worked with a nice CS agent, gave him the car's VIN to look up parts which happened rather quickly. ECS shipped the parts which arrived roughly a week later 'YAY CAN INSTALL BRAKES!".

So after de-rotoring, padding and having the car up in the air I noticed that the rotors were a different diameter than on the car. This was not good! I called ECS and reported an issue and asked them to help correct the problem. The first CS agent no help. The second no help either. Skipping forward I talked to via chat and phone, six customer service agents. Finally I asked to speak to their manager "Melissa". Bottomline, ECS will not earn up to their error. The WILL NOT initiate an RMA and WILL NOT cover the return shipping ....if this isn't bad enough they want the customer to absorb the original shipping cost refunding $100 less than the original purchase price.

Folks, these guys aren't legit. They are running a scam whereby they make their money on shipping incorrect parts and only refunding a portion of the payment. Now if it was my error on ordering incorrect parts, I can kinda understand. Here ECS did the look up, specified the parts and represented that they were correct via VIN number.

Lifetime replacement policy is not what it sounds like

I didn’t have problem with my purchase or parts received but do not use them based on there lifetime replacement policy! It’s a joke it not free replacement it’s lifetime paid replacement they will let you buy it as many times as you want. Read the policy you pay for the replacement they keep the money as store credit so unless you have future purchases with you never get your money back. Part two you have to pay for the shipping on the return which is my case was $100 and I don’t get my money back so my lifetime replacement has now cost me $400. If you continue to read the policy your in-store credit expires in two years, correct it has a time limit so the whole policy is built around keeping your money. It should not be called lifetime replacement. It should be called. Will let you buy it for a lifetime replacement as many times as you want.
