j'ai soit disant reçu un mail de freediscussions pour activer un service usenet que je n'ai jamais reçu. Je maintiens que c'est de l'escroquerie pure et simple.

J'ai reçu un prélèvement le 23/11/2025 alors que je n'ai reçu aucun service ni matériel de cette société. J'ai été prélevée avec PayPal alors qu'aucun mot de passe ne m'a été demandé. PayPal a clos le dossier sans justifier le pourquoi au nom du "vendeur". Pour moi cette société est une arnaque pure et simple. De plus aucune réponse quand à cette facture qu'ils auraient établie. C'est pourquoi je me desinscrit de PayPal. C'est la 2e fois que je me fais arnaquée et non remboursée sans raison.

The free trial is very difficult to cancel. The website says you will be charged if you continue to use the service after the 14 day trial period as your access is converted into a paid subscription. Despite my only using it very briefly on the first day or two of the trial (I soon realised that it wasn’t for me) and cancelling the subscription, I was billed for a full year’s subscription.

Further to your reply, I know I cancelled but I did not receive a reply. I have emailed you afterwards with this and explained that you only had to look at my account to see I had not used your service from day 3 of the trial. You did not reply to this email either and just passed me on to a Debt Agency in Germany.

They said that you had cancelled my account on 8th June which is the day the free trial ended but that you charged me on the 8th as well - over 100 euros for a years use after I cancelled and did not use it for 10+ days before the 8th.

Why? For what other reason than what other reviews have said - to make money by poor communication channels at the very least or by deliberate design. I never received any follow up email on registration setting out the terms or any other email. I only realised there was a problem when the debt agency emailed me. Don’t you think you should contact people directly. Anyway I have been informed that your service is to facilitate non legal downloading.

You know that I have not used your service and you have charged me despite this. If you want to go to court over this to obtain this sum, I am ready.

Ich habe Usenet NL, heute FreeDiscussions, schon seit vielen Jahren und bin sehr zufrieden. Wenn man kurz vor Vertragsende telefonisch Kontakt mit denen aufnimmt, kann man für das nächste Jahr immer einen Top-Tarif aushandeln.
Viele Leute hier, bewerten es negativ, oft, weil sie nicht wissen, wie es richtig funktioniert. Man muss sich mit beschäftigen, es funktioniert hervorragend und ist auch sehr schnell.
Was verbesserungsbedürftig wäre ist, dass am Monatsende das Restvolumen nicht verfällt, sondern auf den folgenden Monat übertragen würde.

Ich würde am liebsten gar kein Stern vergeben. Eine Kündigung ist absichtlich so kompliziert gestaltet, so dass man immer weiter zahlt. Mehrere Kündigungen wurden eingereicht, was jedoch bewusst ignoriert wird. Anwalt wurde eingeschaltet, rechtliche Schritte folgen. Nicht zu empfehlen!

Dès l'inscription impossible de rentrer sur le site avec mes coordonnés donc impossible de récupérer mon N° de client. J'ai envoyé lettre de désistement, le même jour, à l'adresse du site j’attends la réponse sous 48 heures; si pas de retour ..... je prend mes dispositions

Extremely stressful service with the free trial auto-renewal function which I feel is likely designed to trap people into payment. I was unable to cancel my account by email and seemingly the provided form on the website. Only through a phone call do I believe that my free trial has been successfully cancelled. It shall be a nervous wait to see whether the cancellation has actually gone through. If it has, I shall have little choice to inform the relevant authorities. Though, if the cancellation has been properly processed I am grateful to the customer service who were nothing but helpful on the phone.

I made a trial subscription, but it wasn't what I expected. I've sent a cancellation request twice, but I haven't received a response. I'm afraid it's a ploy to charge me for the entire year according to their terms, when I have two pending cancellation requests with receipts. Please resolve this before you cause me more headaches.
