Dreadful experience! Use at your peril!
When one of my 32 amp ring main RCD started tripping, I unplugged all appliances connected to the sockets affected to rule out a faulty appliance.
When that failed I decided to call professional help.
My usual Electrician was unavailable, so I turned to the Internet for an alternative.
I chose Assured Electrical Solutions as their web site claimed that they would test and isolate sections of the circuit until they found the fault.
I was surprised when I was asked to pay £200 plus VAT in advance but was assured that this was a fixed price and no additional fee would be payable.
Kris and apprentice arrived just after 12:15 and checked for loose connections by unscrewing the sockets. They found a slightly abrazed neutral wire which they ârepairedâ using blue electrical tape borrowed from my supply.
They declared they job done and left my house. They had been there for less than 40 minutes.
The moment they left the RCD tripped again.
I called Kris back and he watched the RCD trip several more times before telling me that the fault was somewhere under the floor and I would require a full rewire which the office would quote me for.
I was gobsmacked! 40 minutes to do what I could do myself! No specialist equipment used. And £250 for the benefit of this useless visit!
I subsequently isolated the faulf myself by disconmecting different sockets until the tripping ceased. It took half an hour after Kris left before i found the faulty cable in the kitchen.
I called Assured Electrical Solutions and complained to Lewis. It was friday pm and he said someone would contact me on Monday. No one did.
I am a competent DIY er. Had I been less competent and more gullible, Iâd probably be facing a huge bill for a rewire now!
Cowboys! Do not use!

Absolutely amazing service from Assured, from the initial call with the knowledgeable, helpful and super friendly Ryan in the office to the equally professional and dedicated Jason who came to fix our EV charger. Nothing was too much trouble for Jason and the siting of the charger was 15 meters away from the elec meter at our house but again, Jason fitted all the cabling neatly and as inconspicuously as possible. He cleared up afterwards so we didn't know he had visited! As he said he does each job as if it was his own home and I agree with him! A really great service from this company. We contacted Assured Electrical Solutions for a quote for an EV charger. They were able to provide details over the phone and followed it up with price in a text. I waited a few weeks and on a Saturday asked how soon could they install and the reply was the Mon. Wasn't expecting to be so quick. STOP - i paid £350 up front , supplied video of what was required - explained that the gas was being cut off and we needed a electrical point - for a over 90 year old vulnerable lady who now needs a electrical cooker - the engineer turned up , then 1/4 of the way through the job - said he is now going to do a another job - seriously - and leave this job half finished -he went - i spoke to ryan , and said this is unacceptable , he hanged up - there no excuse or reason - the money was paid , they knew the situation - but still left - a 90 year old stressed out -this is why i give then 5 stars for there excellent customer service for the elderly and vunerable - this is a true review
