Lewis the agent was early to the viewing appointment and gave me time to wander throughout. He called when he said he would, and was very helpful throughout. As you can imagine the process can be quite nail biting but his quick responses and helpful manner made buying stress free. I would definitely recommend your service to anyone.

Absolutely appalling experience with Reeds Rains and I would not recommend them.

The problems started from the moment we moved into the property. There was mouldy food left in the fridge/freezer, crockery still in the dishwasher, food residue on the kitchen surfaces and a significant amount of the landlord’s belongings left behind. We were unable to properly use the garage for months because it was full of the landlord’s possessions, and when it was eventually cleared it was left dirty and with rubbish behind.

Throughout the tenancy we also reported issues, including broken doors and a broken toilet seat. These were discussed with the agent dealing with our tenancy at the time. Now that he apparently no longer works for the company, Reeds Rains seem to be acting as though these conversations never happened, which is simply not acceptable.

The situation at the end of the tenancy has been even worse. We returned the keys on 21 August and are still waiting for our deposit. Instead of returning it promptly, we were sent photographs alleging various cleaning and damage issues. Having reviewed them, I strongly dispute almost all of the alleged damage. Several of the issues were already present when we moved in, had previously been reported, or in my opinion amount to normal wear and tear.

Despite repeatedly asking for a clear itemised list of the proposed deductions and the actual costs they intend to claim, this still has not been provided.

What makes the whole situation particularly frustrating is the complete double standard. We were expected to tolerate a property that was not properly cleared or cleaned when we moved in, including losing the use of an entire garage for a substantial period, yet at the end of the tenancy they appear to be scrutinising every minor mark and trying to attribute pre-existing issues to us.

The communication and handling of the deposit have been extremely disappointing. I expected a professional letting agency to maintain proper records, deal fairly with both landlords and tenants and resolve deposit matters promptly. That has absolutely not been my experience with Reeds Rains.

I would strongly advise anyone renting through them to photograph absolutely everything on move-in, report every single issue in writing rather than relying on conversations with staff, keep every email and document, and make sure you have evidence of the condition of the property when you leave.

Based on my experience, I would not rent through Reeds Rains again.

Lisa and Karen from your Carrickfergus branch have been awesome. Apparently buying selling or renting out a property is supposed to be the most stressful experience known to mankind. Not me.

Reeds Rain sold my property very quickly, always keep me informed. Would definitely recommend using Reeds Rain I had no issues at all. Deborah from the Durham branch was absolutely fantastic.

Reeds Raine's have been very helpful from the start. They are helping us every step and the property is now sold . We have sold the house belonging to my wife's stepfather who is now in a care home as we have power of attorney.We knew it would be stressful to sell but reeds Raine's Pontefract office have been very helpful and professional.

The house selling process with Reeds Rains has been excellent. My house went live on the market on the Friday at midnight and was sold a week and a half later. Customer service is fantastic all very knowledgeable and very easy to work with :)

More personal about the sale if our house. Understood our needs about asking price. Helped to remarket the property and I have always felt they are on my side as the seller not on the side of the buyer. Always kept informed of progress and always available at the end of the phone staff very polite and helpful.
