A very very good experience purchasing a bike through the Oakham store. I initially had a bike fit with Uldis who was fantastic: friendly, thorough and most importantly made big improvements on my current road bike. Following the bike fit we chose a bike that was appropriate for me based off the results.

For the bike selection and sale I was looked after by Will McCabe. Got to say I was really impressed by Will - very patient, excellent communication, and just easy to deal with which made for a really pleasant experience. He really does put customer service at the top of his priorities, and actually every staff member I’ve dealt with at Oakham has been top tier. Great team and great buying experience. I’m delighted with my new bike that I picked up today. If the after sales service lives up to the buying experience then I see myself using Sigma for a very long time.

Big thanks to Josh in Oakham who made the experience very satisfactory. Great advice in helping me to choose an endurance focused bike (moving away from my old aero one) but finding one that was still sporty & light. Good advice on fit (moved to slightly narrower bars and a slightly smaller frame than I thought I needed). All good, thanks Josh

James was extremely knowledgeable and spent a long time with me to make sure I chose the best bike, with no pressure and no question unanswered.

Uldis really took his time to understand exactly what I needed and then greatly improved my comfort on the bike, looking at my whole position. Absolutely worth the investment. Uldis was also very friendly and informative - a really good experience all round.

I had an amazing bike fit with Andrew at Sigma. Having previously had a couple of different bike fits elsewhere, I can confidently say this was on another level in terms of comprehensiveness and attention to detail. Since the session, I’ve been enjoying pain-free and noticeably more powerful riding — it’s made a huge difference.

Andrew was easy to talk to, approachable, and very respectful of all my wishes throughout the process. He welcomed and thoroughly answered every question I had, clearly demonstrating his excellent understanding of biomechanics and depth of experience in the field. Nothing felt rushed; the entire session was thorough and focused on getting everything exactly right.

I would absolutely recommend Andrew and will be returning specifically to him for all of my bikes in the future.

From start to finish, a wonderful customer experience. I made a mistake and ordered to the wrong store, so I messaged the WhatsApp chat service and it was re-routed with no bother at all. Once it arrived I received a text, so I went to the store to collect. The staff were all really lovely, welcoming, and helpful. The bike-shop dog was a highlight also.

Andrew is personable and professional. He explains enough of the dark art of bike-fitting without blinding you with complications. He listened and gave advice that seems to make perfect sense. I went away with a lot of questions I'd had in my mind answered. I know my bike is set up to suit me and it's not the bike letting the body down! On with the season now!

I travelled up from London specifically to visit Sigma Sports Oakham after a personal recommendation, and I am genuinely glad I did.

I booked a bike fit with Andrew Shore and, as a complete day-one beginner to cycling, I wasn't entirely sure what I was walking into. Andrew made it comfortable straight away. He was calm, friendly, and very generous with both his time and his knowledge, without ever talking down to me or overcomplicating things.

What stood out most was how well he listened. He took the time to understand what I wanted from cycling and where I am actually at, rather than where I might end up someday. Everything was explained clearly and practically, which made a big difference as someone new to all of this.

Crucially, there was no sales pressure at all. I never felt like I was being nudged towards upgrades or bundled into buying things I did not need. That lack of pressure made the experience far more relaxed, and it is the main reason I would happily go back.

A very solid, reassuring experience overall. If you are new to cycling and want honest advice rather than overly sales-driven, I would strongly recommend Andrew and the Oakham team. They know what they are doing!
