Very poor service

I went in 30 minutes from closing and was told "we're closing in just a bit so do you know what you want"

It was like they were trying to push me out of the store. I felt like they looked at me and assumed I was just there to waste time - far from the truth. I'll never be going in to this store again.

The Jacket sent is fine but they delivered it in just a plastic bag. One layer of not very thick plastic. It’s an expensive foam filled lightweight jacket that could have easily been damaged. Not suitable packaging for such an item.

We went to Blacks shop in North St Brighton today and were politely met by Jude as my wife wanted to get some new hiking boots. Benn took over as Jude went to lunch and he was extremely helpful and a very knowledgable young guy and we were super grateful for his assistance. Thanks Benn.

I popped in-store on a whim after seeing a pair of trail shoes discounted online. The new store looks great, and I found the staff very friendly and informative, Jude in particular. Although I didn’t intend on buying anything when I walked in, the service was so exceptional I decided to make a purchase. Rare to find this level of enthusiasm and product knowledge in-store. Thank you Jude, and Blacks.

Ben was very helpful with choose out a pair of walking shoes. He was able to answer my questions to help choose the right shoes in my budget. Would recommend to anyone who doesn’t have a clue about what are the best shoes to buy!

Micheal was brilliant, went in with limited knowledge and he was very helpful at explaining and giving advice at what to bring and what not to bother with on my trips.

Blacks is a wonderful place to shop. For outdoor clothing in one place it's ideal .
I'm going to Spain for the Camino Pilgrimage walk in April and have got much of what I need from Blacks.

When I bought my waterproof jacket, there was simply too much choice and I have had bad experiences with spending a lot of money on jackets that do not live up to their claims! Jude was a fantastic member of staff who was knowledgeable and helpful. I’d highly recommend Blacks Brighton.

Professional advice on a pair of good walking shoes, not just some bored teenager repeating from a script.

I bought some walking shoes online but they didn’t fit very well so I took them into the Brighton store for an exchange.
Must say that all the staff were friendly and helpful.
Compared to jd sports up the road where the staff couldn’t care less this is the place to go.
