Was told they didnt stock it
End of conversation!
No alternative or anything offered!
Very disappointing

Not even one star to be honest! For Christmas my boyfriend bought me a promise ring from the Carlisle store. Due to the wrong size being bought we had to change it. This was only the beginning of our troubles. After many heated conversations the store finally changed the size. They never got back to myself or him telling us it was in store. After 3 weeks of having it the top layer (assuming a form of coating) began to come off. Ofcourse due to this being a promise ring it was very important to us both. I went into store with my mother to request help. We were rudely told that the ring was fine and we were overreacting. I briefly got upset however they asked us to leave upsetting me even further. I further emailed the company complaining and showing the damage. Emails were exchanged for me to no longer receive any more. I sent a further email to make sure they hadn’t missed it to still have not received one. This was many months ago. I am now stuck with a faulty ring which is a shame due to the meaning. The staff were nasty especially the manager ( who I think was named Emma with red hair). Will never shop here again and truly upset! I don’t even want a replacement anymore due to the experience I just wanted to let people know.

Got a necklace for £300 hardly worn it and it snapped and fell off luckily I was at home
I took it back to Carlisle shop and was told I had to pay for repair as once you leave the shop its your responsibility so took it to independent jewellers x3 all say its very brittle and not worth the money so went back to Carlisle shop who sent it to their own jewellers
Now 1 shop assistant says they say its paurus and I could have a exchange so went to collect it but 2nd shop assistant says its OK so no exchange or refund

Went to query my ring size after getting an engagement ring back in August. The girl that we spoke to first acted as if she couldn’t be bothered serving us. When talking she would look back at her colleague pulling faces. When we spoke to the woman that this girl was pulling faces too she couldn’t have been any ruder than this girl . This isn’t the first time we have experienced this level of rudeness!

I bought a watch for my husbands birthday and took it into the store to get links taken out and was charged an excessive £20…. Contacted customer services and they weren’t interested at all…..awful charge for a 2 min job…. There are plenty other jewellers so won’t purchase from them again

The staff at the Carlisle branch of Ernest Jones are very pleasant and friendly, Jill the assistant who served my wife and I on our last purchase could not of been more helpful and together with the other sales assistants is an asset to Ernest Jones Carlisle and we are looking forward to our next purchase very soon .

The staff were amazing very helpful and made it a special time getting the right engagement ring they were very friendly and patient

Fabulous customer service really helpful and kind

I needed a replacement wedding as my old one was too tight. I was helped by the most patient assistant who talked through the pros and cons of different metals. As it’s something I will be wearing every day and obviously very special to me, I eventually, with her help and I repeat patience, I bought a beautiful platinum wedding ring.

Really good experience. My size was ordered with a deposit and it came in a few days later.

Staff were excellent and knowledgeable we purchased an amazing ring then found our there was a discount on it plus a £50 voucher for any other purchase so I got myself a lovely rotary watch
