The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) mandates that all hospital staff complete six hours of fire and safety training once every four years, resulting in the issuance of fire certification cards by Los Angeles City Fire Department certification. Dear Daniel,
I saw that you replied to my review, but I wasn’t sure how to respond directly to a reply, so I’m writing this as a new review.
Please accept my deepest sympathies for you, your family, and your company. I can only imagine what you are going through, and I am so sorry for your loss. It’s clear that your father was an extraordinary person, with a deep passion for the safety and well-being of others.
You have no need to apologize, and the money truly means nothing to me. I will always remember your father, Brian, as a selfless advocate for safety. Thank you for everything, and thank you to your father for the irreplaceable service he provided to our community.
I will remove my previous review as it is an irrelivant and innacurate portrayal of HFSI and your father.

SCAM
This place is a scam.
I paid for a class that was supposed to take place July 20th.. they took my payment but never provided the zoom link to the class and when you try calling, emailing, etc there is NO customer support. Highly recommend to not take your class with them.

Hello Gabriela, I am the son of Brian (owner and teacher) and I regret to inform you that my father passed away on July 4th which is why you never were able to get ahold of anybody. My dad ran this company by himself so unfortunately there was no way to be able to contact everybody until I received his possessions since he lived out of the country. I assure you this business was not a scam, my father took a lot of pride in what he did. I truly apologize for the inconvenience that you had to endure because of this.
LA HFSI is a scam
LA HFSI is a scam! Booked 4 hour blue fire card training. Spent $50 and LA HFSI didn’t not send me the link for class training on July 20th. Contacted the business LA HFSI several times, but the business didn’t care to respond back. Save your money and find genuine business. LA HFSI is a scam.

I paid my money to take the online course today (7/20/25). I never received the zoom link to join the class.
I left several messages via email, text and phone calls and no one ever got back to me. My class was supposedly scheduled from 5-9pm today July 20th. I decided to google further into this company and that’s when I saw countless others reviewing that they too had been scammed. I have reported them as well as disputed the charges. Unfortunately, I still need to take the class elsewhere as it is a requirement for a phlebotomy program that I am enrolled in. BEWARE SO THIS DOES’NT HAPPEN TO YOU! THIS IS NOT A REAL BUSINESS! SCAM!!! FAKE COMPANY!!

Hello Franchelle, my name is Daniel and I am the son of Brian (owner and teacher) and its with a heavy heart that I inform you that on July 4th my father passed away. He ran this company by himself and I just recieved his possessions so I'm trying to let everybody know of what happened to him so they don't think the worst. I am not associated with this business but upon getting his phone I have seen a lot of people were able to get their money refunded, unfortunately I don't know how they were able to do that because like I said I know nothing about how his business is set up or operates but I hope you're able to get your money back. I have his phone now so if there's any issues please reach out to me as I'm going to look into how to get everybody their money. My dad was a great man and the last thing he would want is for you to be out money for a service that wasn't provided to you. I truly am sorry for the inconvenience this must've brought you but I hope you understand.

Hello Stacey, my name is Daniel and I'm the son of Brian (owner and teacher of HFSI) and I'm sorry to inform you that my father has passed away 2 weeks before your class. I'm currently looking into how to refund everybody but I have seen that people were getting their money back on their own and I hope you were one of them. I am not associated with the business so I'm truly lost with how he had everything operated and my father had protections on everything so I'm doing my best to navigate through this while also dealing with the loss of my father. I truly hope you understand and I am truly sorry for any inconvenience you've had to endure during this time. I just received his property since he lived out of country which is why you haven't gotten a response until now. Again, I truly am sorry to you and everybody else whose going through this as well just as my dad would be too.
Provide No link to Online Class and No Response to Email/Calls
My class supposed to be on July 13 5-9pm and I have not received any email or link to the zoom class, I kept calling and also emailed them and 4 days after they still not response to be, it is very bad experience.

Don’t use this website for firecard
I signed up for this class as it is a requirement for my nursing program. I went with this one after seeing some reviews stating it was good. I was instructed to join 10 minutes earlier so I did. Class started at 4 pm, the host never joined. I emailed customer support and they never got back to me. I called their number and NEVER received a call back. They are terrible.

He ran the company by himself so that's why customer support never reached out because he was the customer support. I truly am sorry for your experience and I completely understand. He passed away out of the country and I just received his property and its with a heavy heart that I have to inform everybody because I see the comments and while I understand them it hurts because my dad loved what he did and worked very hard to get it where it was today. I truly hope you understand and don't hold any animosity towards my dad because he took a lot of pride in this and you're experience would've been much different if his accident didn't happen. Again I truly am sorry for everything.

I am unaware of how to redistribute the money to everybody but I have seen alot of people get refunded, I hope you have already done so or you're able to. Hello Grace, I am the son of the owner and I regret to inform you that he passed away before your class was able to take place which is why you never had any contact or able to have your class. I assure you my father would've loved to teach you the class because he loved what he did and took a lot of pride in it. I am not associated with the business and have no clue how he operated it so I'm not sure how to send the money back at the moment. I've seen a lot of people dispute the charges though and I hope you're able to as well. If not, I have my dads phone now so please reach out if you cant because I'm trying to figure out how to do that myself so people don't have a distain thought towards my father. I truly am sorry for everything and any inconvenience you've faced during this.

I signed up for a class for my fire…
I signed up for a class for my fire card a couple of days ago. I have not received my zoom link and have tried to call and email and Whatsapp and use any and every way to contact the company in hopes of getting my zoom link in time for the class today at 5PM. Nothing! No responses. I am so beyond upset. I needed it to start work this week and now I am not sure what will happen. I can not believe this company isn't a scam at this point. It is 5:13 and I have called a dozen times with no answer.
Very disappointing!

I truly am sorry that you had to go through this but I regret to inform you that my father passed away July 4th which is why you weren't able to have your class or get a response. My dad was the only person in the company and I just received his property due to him living out of the country which is why the response is so delayed. I assure you this company was not a scam and my father took a lot of pride and joy in what he did however due to your circumstances I understand why you would think so. I truly am sorry for this and sincerely hope that you were able to get your card elsewhere and everything is ok with your job. Again I truly am sorry for this.
