Great service and ultra clean!.

I wanted a 10 square feet and their employee, Dipo invited me to come for a site tour because it became available. After I traveled more than an hour to get there, I was told it’s not actually available and I was shown a smaller, overpriced crate. Doesn’t seem very trustworthy, since they could have let me known much earlier.

Had a terrible experience with Safestore. I originally had two storage units and decided to upgrade to a larger one. I was offered a great rate, booked it, hired movers, and turned up ready to go. When I arrived, I was told — without any apology — that the rate was a “system error” and I’d have to pay a much higher price.

Movers had to go home, I lost money, and obviously didn’t proceed. I told them I’d go with another warehouse instead. A week later, after moving out, they still charged me for one unit — and were about to take money for the second — despite me giving reasonable notice. Luckily, I cancelled one direct debit in time. The other? I ended up losing £400–£500 with no refund.

Their excuse? “We changed the terms.” But I only received one email (buried among their many marketing emails), so I wasn’t properly informed. No apology, no compromise — just a brick wall.

In short: they can change terms whenever they want and hide the notice in a generic email. Zero accountability. Wouldn’t recommend.

Great experience with Safestore, used a recommended mover to move stuff in, stored safely for 6 months while we bought a property and used the same guy for removals. Charged for the unit as expected every month lots of communication no surprises. Closing simple to do. No issues.

Excellent customer service! The staff was readily available to answer my questions, and Nuno went above and beyond to help me both with email support and the move-in process. Highly recommend this storage facility.

14 Day Cooling of Period Does NOT exist with this company - not sure if the others!! unless you’ve booked and paid ONLINE!!!!!!!
Don’t go to safe store, be careful of the ANNUAL CONTRACT if you need to increase the size of the storage unit they will refuse only option is take another unit! The discounted package is not given I’m spending £183.79.00 for annual 50ft
£118.56 every four weeks.
Now in changing unit 25sq ft 63.89 for 4 weeks £118.56
The 75sq would have been including discount without insurance is £150.00 for 4 weeks for the 3 month duration until the discount ended.
Safe store have made a good profit out of me!

BIG UPDATE
On Saturday 3rd, after refusing to change the annual unit to a bigger unit. I received an e-mail stating I had until the end of the day to change the unit and would not receive a refund for the 35sq ft unit taken on Friday 2nd and of course will cannot take advantage of the 8 week’s discount! Would you have the strength to change units after paying an extra £150.00 to the TT Removals to run around trying to fit everything into a 50ft, 25ft and 35ft unit. Why not simply change the annual unit on the day as reasonably requested!!

Everything perfect, from submitting a quote to dropping belongings. All admin process took 15 min with clear explanation of T&C, convenient and secure payment, and actual electronic contract signing. Very easy to find it, just right of Bow roundabout. Walking distance from the Tube. Storage building itself has all you need - adequate parking, professional receptionist, trolleys, lifts, and as a bonus - toilet facilities)).
Our expectations were exceeded. THANK YOU

I went in looking to reserve a 100 Sq ft Unit. The units are clean and tidy. Great customer service.
The gentleman that was on site was Called Nick. He was very polite, engaging and very useful. We are looking forward to moving in with a year contract and actually now taking a 125 Sq ft unit.

Thank you so much with putting up with me whilst I was trying to sort all the chaos out, staff were super lovely and accommodating, really great team, felt super safe using this place to store everything. Hope you all had a good Xmas and new year <3
