Tourists, be very careful!

I had an absolutely terrible experience at SAKARE near Galeries Lafayette in Paris and would strongly advise other tourists to stay away.

I was approached and brought into the store, where they first demonstrated a nail kit for €39. After that, I was shown several creams and a body scrub, accompanied by lots of “special discounts” and “free gifts.” In the end, I decided to buy the nail kit, a body scrub and a body cream.

Literally less than TWO SECONDS after stepping outside the store, I realised that I was travelling with hand luggage only and would not be allowed to take the liquids/creams through airport security. I immediately turned around and asked to return the body products and keep only the nail kit.
The attitude of the staff changed completely.
Suddenly, nobody was friendly anymore. I was treated extremely rudely, the shopping bag was grabbed out of my hand, and the staff kept insisting that taking the products in my hand luggage would be “no problem.”

After around five minutes of arguing, they finally took the body cream out of my bag – but instead of refunding it, they simply threw another nail kit into the bag. I did not ask for or want a second nail kit.
They then told me that the scrub was “in grams, so it shouldn't be a problem,” pushed me out of the store and refused to let me back inside.
And, exactly as I had expected, the scrub was taken away from me at airport security.
So I ended up paying around €85 for two ridiculous nail kits and a body scrub that I couldn't even take home.

The contrast between the extremely friendly, persuasive sales behaviour before payment and the rude and aggressive treatment the moment I wanted to return something was shocking.

I felt pressured, misled and treated with absolutely no respect once they had my money. In my experience, the whole sales approach felt like a tourist trap and a scam.

I would NEVER shop here again and strongly recommend that tourists, especially those travelling with hand luggage, think twice before buying anything from this store.

Avoid.

Predatory sales tactics, rude and condescending staff (Bond Street shop) - also very sexist. Spoke to the man I was with instead of me while insisting that I be the one to make the purchase.

I was basically coerced into buying a nail kit that has done absolutely nothing for my nails and when I asked for a receipt, they conveniently had no receipt roll that day.

Won’t be back, and would actively tell anyone who’ll listen to avoid them at all costs.

Horrible customer service, aggressive and extremely unfriendly, they essentially force you into purchasing and I feel robbed!!

Was approached on the street near Covent Garden by a lovely young man I didn't catch his name , I purchased the Nail kit ,my nails look and feel lovely ,I will definitely purchase more items on my next visit to London.

Attention arnaque: la vendeuse vous aborde dans la rue avec un échantillon gratuit et vous attire dans le magasin pour une démonstration de soin des ongles (dans mon cas pour un polissoir à ongles) : beaucoup de techniques de ventes et beaucoup de blahblah pour vous convaincre d'acheter un kit de soin des ongles soit-disant à 70 euros sur le site avec une ristourne (prix vendu à 45 euros en boutique) (Sur le site, je l'ai vu à 54 euros : les prix fluctuent même sur le site web suivant les variantes dans l'URL (c'est douteux))
De plus, ils présentent leurs produits contenant des ingrédients "naturels" et de très bonne qualité (ce que laisse penser le positionnement "luxe" du magasin et son adresse dans le Marais), mais en scannant le produit dans Yuka, la note est de 2/10, donc on est vraiment sur de la non-qualité (voire de la toxicité).
La vendeuse a également souhaité me vendre des soins pour le visage à des prix très prohibitifs mais j'ai refusé. J'ai acheté seulement le kit pour ongles.
Pour information, un produit identique existe à 4,99 euros chez Séphora (polissoir à ongles).
Je suis retournée au magasin le lendemain pour me faire rembourser (le produit est toujours emballé, je n'y ai pas touché), avec le ticket de caisse et les tickets carte bancaire, mais ils ont refusé.
Je fais donc un signalement à la DGCCRF.

Voglio documentare quanto accaduto nel negozio Sakaré di Cannes.

Io e un’amica siamo state avvicinate con insistenza fuori dal negozio. La venditrice si è prima accertata che fossimo turiste in partenza — dettaglio che ritengo rilevante ai fini di quanto accaduto dopo.

All’interno, ci sono stati fatti provare prodotti a marchio Sakaré. Al momento del pagamento, nella busta è stato inserito un prodotto di brand diverso: il siero viso Gratiae, non il prodotto Sakaré provato in negozio. Lo stesso articolo è reperibile online a prezzi notevolmente inferiori a quanto pagato. Ho verificato personalmente.

Nessun prodotto esposto in negozio riportava il prezzo né un codice a barre. La lista degli ingredienti era di fatto illeggibile nelle condizioni in cui ci è stato consentito di esaminare i prodotti.

La venditrice ha applicato sulla mia pelle, nell’area periorbitale, un prodotto non identificato. Nell’immediato ha prodotto un effetto tensore temporaneo. Dopo circa trenta minuti ho avvertito bruciore e secchezza intensa nella zona trattata, con aspetto della cute alterato compatibile con una reazione irritativa. Non ero stata informata degli ingredienti né avevo prestato consenso consapevole all’applicazione.

La venditrice ha inoltre dichiarato verbalmente l’assenza di sperimentazione su animali. Verificando, Sakaré non risulta certificata da alcun ente riconosciuto (Leaping Bunny, PETA Beauty Without Bunnies) né pubblica documentazione di efficacia clinica per i propri prodotti.

Sconsiglio vivamente questo esercizio. Invito chiunque abbia vissuto esperienze analoghe a documentarle e a segnalarle alle autorità competenti per la tutela dei consumatori.

Une technique de racollage dans la rue qui je pense marche, tellement elles sont insistantes. On m’a poli l’ongle, limite dans la rue, sans rien me demander. Et après elle a voulu me vendre des produits à des prix exorbitants. Prix qui ont réduit en même pas 3 minutes, quasiment de 40%. Avec des cadeaux. Ça montre le luxe de ces produits.. bref, passez votre chemin.

Boutique sakare rue des francs bourgeois, une grosse arnaque des vendeuses et vendeurs peu scrupuleux et racoleurs sur le trottoir, des produits dont les prix ne sont pas affichés, soi disant une promotion exceptionnelle tous les jours, un discours bien rodé, des techniques de vente redoutables, et des prix exorbitants pour des produits médiocres , j’en ai fait l’expérience et j’ai eu beaucoup de mal à sortir de la boutique sans acheter tellement la vendeuse insistait, un bon conseil si vous croisez ces racoleurs devant cette boutique , passez votre chemin fuyez !

Superbe expérience vendeuse très agreable

Très bon magasin avec une ambiance agréable. Le personnel est toujours souriant, poli et prêt à aider. Je suis très satisfaite du service, merci beaucoup !

I was accosted on a number of occasions by salespersons on Bond Street in London - they offer “ free gift “ … a random sachet of some cream ??
I made the absolute mistake of venturing into the shop !!
Here , I was subjected to a high pressured Sales pitch by very charmless, arrogant and somewhat sexist young male assistant.
The products I was to harangued into buying were useless and very expensive
AVOID at all costs , this place is an absolute scam

I spoke with a lovely sales girl called Rula in their New Bond Street store. She demonstrated their Cleansing Salt Scrub which was amazing as my hands felt so soft afterwards. She was attentive and knowledgable. A genuine credit to the brand and because of this, I feel they have now gained a new customer.

Rula was very helpful when it came to picking out what products would help my body smoothen out I will definitely be coming back I highly recommend

Le point très négatif : façon d'aborder les passant-es. Quasi forcées de suivre à l'intérieur de la boutique. Discours très bien rodé ( trop qui peut faire fuir). Étant 2, nous avons pris la chose pour nous amuser. J'ai totalement refusé le test pour les cernes car peau très sensible, fragile à cet endroit. Vu le résultat de mon amie le soir même (genre écailles sous les yeux), j'ai eu raison malgré l'insistance de la vendeuse.
En revanche j'ai acheté l'exfoliant et la crème pour le corps. Le test a été extrêmement top. La réduction des prix m'a incité à acheter et je ne suis pas déçue de mon achat (les 2 valent autant que des produits de marques connues avec de piètres résultats..).

Cependant, pas dupe de cette ristourne soi-disant pour la journée uniquement. 🤔

Que les vendeurs et vendeuses modifient leur approche. Personnellement, ça me fait fuir et pas tentée de retourner à la boutique. Raison pour laquelle je mets 3 étoiles
