the initial motto was to be anonymous. Over the years it kept getting more and more trashy users who just come for degenerate porn. And now it makes you jump through several hoops of dumb puzzles with time limits and long waiting times before you can even post. And if you do the captcha wrong, whatever you wrote in your post gets deleted. Irritating. It gives a nice message that you can avoid the irritating experience if you give them money.

Or you can just avoid this website.

Is bad as : Quora, Lemmy, Reddit (the worst), just same ugly person that not let anyone say if not what they agree on they are all trash sites (fake socials), and they are criminal socials

In my experience, ban pages almost never clearly identify the reason for a ban (or even a warning): It will tell you what rule you supposedly violated, but rarely (if ever) does it share the post in question. Prior to the relevant ban, I was warned for abusing the report system despite having reported posts that _actually_ violate the rules.

Last week, I was banned in a /soc/ contact thread along with other innocent users as protected by /soc/ Rule 6. Supposedly, the entire thread was banned for calls to "raid" under Global Rule 4. In a conversation with a mod named yournamehere, a "raid" is when one user explicitly posts a third-party's contact info (forbidden as "doxxing" under Global Rule 4, except as allowed by i.e. /soc/ Rule 6). (It's believed that an attempt to provide an example given by yournamehere will fail due to the use of homophobic language.) The argument from yournamehere is that because the /soc/ contact thread existed to connect users seeking to roleplay a certain kink, there can be no way to distinguish roleplaying from actual Global Rule 4 violations. This problem exists in every /soc/ contact/meetup thread, regardless of whether a given thread is meant to connect people who wish to roleplay about anything via some third-party messaging app. When asked, younamehere was unable to provide an example of any explicit (read: actual) violations of Global Rule 4. Absent any actual violations, the blanket ban on all participating users is naturally improper (and if there were any actual violations, banning everyone in that thread isn't the answer).

I tried my best to explain this problem in my appeal, but it appears that 4chan is no longer allowing anyone to post /soc/ contact/meetup threads. After all, if that one thread constitutes Global Rule 4 calls for raiding, then so does every other instance of people uploading contact info (in accordance with a given contact/meetup thread) because mods can't ever distinguish the legitimate publishing of contact info from third-party contact info being involuntarily posted.

Rather than acknowledge and correct the abuse of power demonstrated in this blanket ban, my temporary ban became permanent, perhaps for the sole reason of daring to challenge improper moderation. This would explain why even my pre-ban Moderation Feedback has been ignored. Because 4chan can't be bothered to voluntarily to even amend the rules to reflect the mod(s') position in this matter, I can't imagine any other way to force 4chan to take its logic to its natural conclusion except for suing 4chan for declaratory and/or injunctive relief consistent with its decision in this matter (or preferably in accordance with its own rules at the time of the improper bans). I'd rather take this up with 4chan's service providers first, except I can't imagine how any of the misconduct shown in this matter would conceivably constitute a third-party TOS violation. Absent voluntary corrective against by 4chan and a third-party with the least amount of legal power (such as one of the aforementioned service providers), the only remaining remedy available would be to sue 4chan, which does not appear to be of any concern. Seeing as 4chan can't be bothered to followed its own rules (perhaps waiting until someone like me "steps out of line" to invoke its natural power to ban anyone for any reason), this does not surprise me in any way.

Used to be 5 stars but the moderators there are slowly emulating reddit moderators and the free speech it used to be a bastion of is suffering.

I posted a post, and I received racist comments. They called me the N word. Now I was anonymous so it's pretty amazingly coincidental that they actually said the N word to a actual black man. My thread eventually somehow disappeared weirdly enough. Not sure why. Because it was dead, and nobody responded on it? But another post was there already for 2 days, so it's probably simply deleted. The important point is that I experienced severe racism there. I do not recommend to be active there. I do recommend lurking, as this is the safest thing really to do. It kinda sucks that I had to experience this. Now you can report the comments of course, but nothing heard back from them. Maybe the moderation simply decided to delete the thread because of the racism in it, after I reported a couple of of racist comments? Really there are no normal people on social media. It's a melting pot of wickedness!
Too that the site is very restricted. You can't edit your comments, and every comment needs a check whether you're not a robot. You have no control over what happens to your thread either, as you can't delete it as you please, nor can you delete the most horrific insulting comments, plus that the moderators aren't friendly at all. I understand it's purpose of why it exists, but not its goals on what it does with new comers. 4chan is also highly V.I.P! You can not just like that registrate your selves, even so there is a tab for inlog, there is no way that you can use the log in when you can't registrate your self. One must know one from inside, apparently to be granted access. Now 4chan can be good too, lots of funny memes and stuff, and if it comes down on the boards, it works the same way as in Subreddits: you got toxic ones and friendly ones, you just need to know which board. But I do think that the overlay of 4chan is very chaotic, and navigating it cost a bit. (To see where is what and how, and when). But I still do not recommend it. 4chan should be closed solemnly on how it treats people and not because of the wholesome content.

Hi to whom it may concern of 4chan Administration,
Two days ago I submitted a post under paranormal about Ancient Roman post of a time traveling story and it had nothing bad about it like it didn't had any curse words and it didn't target anybody and then I received many negative harassing comments from users anonymously that shouldn't be here giving a hard time on someone trying to post anything they want to share or do a creative project!! I feel so bad about myself for posting in this site!! Like if this website was only built for negative influencers!! Those people just went into my post and they cursed me and called me really nasty names, and I really think that you admins of this site should really look out for people like that who are really harassing and verbally abusing other people because if you guys don't do that, you guys can get a warning or something like that. I really do hope that you guys would pay attention because it can hurt someone like me!!! This is my first time visiting 4Chan and with seeing good reviews on it to share anything that has happened in their lives or to share a creative idea or story and of a sudden, I have a really bad experience with this site.. I don't know but it shouldn't be that way.. This site is NOT a really safe place..

And to add on to my last review in regards to someone posting my personal info (address, social media accounts etc) alongside photos of my face and body, 4chan have replied to me saying "shut up r*tard" someone clearly thinks they're hard sat behind a computer screen acting like a child when I am concerned for my safety. Absolutely disgusting

This site needs to be SHUTDOWN.

It is a platform that allows people to post things anonymously that puts other people in danger in REAL LIFE.

 I was contacted by a user of 4chan telling me my private information and photos of me and my body were being posted on this website. They sent all the proof I needed (screenshots of what had been posted) there was pictures of me, my face, my body, my social media accounts, WHERE I LIVED.
The poster is anonymous is there anyway you can find out where abouts the account was made or anything? DOUBT IT.

My name, location and social media was all posted alongside images of my face and body. I was extremely upset and worried. The thread has now irritatingly been deleted (error 404) so I have no idea what else was posted apart from what I have been shown.
There was also pictures of other girls and their personal information. Girls that lived near me. I let them know as their names and personal info had been posted to.

This is bloody disgusting that 4chan just let this happen.

what sort of website allows anonymous people to post personal information of young girls alongside photos of their faces and bodies and all social media accounts. I am shocked, disgusted and even more p**sed off now because I wrote and sent this as an email 2 years ago! And they did not respond ATALL.
Then I just so happen to find a reddit thread about 4chan and it reminded me of that horrid website!!!!
