Fast delivery – but beware, they pass the buck to their supplier. I ordered four Bouclé-style chairs, and one arrived defective (the backrest was visibly wonky). I paid via Klarna (30 days), so I flagged the return with Klarna immediately and sent AboutLiving photos of the defect.

It’s now been 12 days since I reported the issue, and they still haven’t arranged a collection. Every reply blames their supplier, saying they are responsible for pickup.

Under UK consumer law, the retailer is responsible for handling returns and failure to collect an agreed return within a reasonable time (typically 14 days) is a breach of contract.

If this isn’t resolved soon, I’ll be reporting them to Trading Standards.

Ive ordered from this company several times now, and every time my parcels have been dispatched very promptly, and arrived wrapped in tissue paper and in great condition ..
I would not hesitate in ordering from them in the future

We ordered a book as a Christmas present which came wrapped in plastic as some books do but the book was not what we expected and sent it back to About Living. They refused a refund as the book wasn't in the plastic and claimed it was damaged which we did not do. They also said they would not send the book back to us unless we paid for the postage, nor would they offer us a credit note for the store. The book was £100 from Assouline so not cheap at all and it makes the whole experience even more disappointing given it was a gift. The customer service was absolutely terrible and we would strongly advise not to order or buy anything from this company as if there is an issue they will not help you resolve it. They are now not responding to any of our emails and have the book we purchased in their possession

I have ordered several times from About Living now and each time the service is flawless. The deliveries are always well packed & arrive quickly. On one occasion I had put the wrong shipping address by accident so contacted their customer service via email and had a very quick response to get it corrected. I’ll definitely use this company again ☺️

The cutlery set I ordered was cancelled by another company and so I came across the same set with About Living. Great price and communication was good (age checks done due to knives in set). The piece arrived as promised today and is in great condition. Happy client 😊 Thanks Laura and team!
