Staff are very friendly and the premises are immaculate. My 10 year old son has a great time every week. Well done to the whole team

We attended all of the Play New Meta trials and have nothing but positive things to say. The team are lovely and it’s a nice cosy vibe for the children. The classes are great, well structured and adaptable- getting the children to work and play together. What I appreciate most is the length of the class, it’s not rushed and they give the kids enough time to get settled and grasp the concept of the session before tucking in. We will be signing up for the Game Dev Level 2 course as it aligns perfectly.

My 14 year old loves to game, so when we saw there was a new academy running a free trial, we booked him in.

We were welcomed by friendly staff and shown around. The set-up looks great! My son came out of the session with only positive things to say.

We decided to sign up the same day. I love that he can gain new skills doing something he loves. He has been back for multiple sessions since and really enjoys the content and challenges set by Luke.

It has been a really positive experience for us, and he is always looking forward to his next session. :)

It’s early days, but my 8yr old son, who has SEN, easily coped for a 90min session. It’s a lovely atmosphere, and my son can’t wait to go back, so I’ve signed him up to the academy.

This service was brand new to my area.. I have a SEN Child, I messaged and they were very keen to help

My child had a trail day and loved it we signed up and they been thriving ever since.

In less than 3 weeks my childs confidence has soared and he has not only improved his self confidence but also communication and understanding its made a huge difference to our lives, whi new this kind of gaming experience could be so positive and powerful 😊

I asked my youngest son what he wanted to become - he responded - A Professional Gamer mum. I had no idea what that actually entailed and began my research into this industry. At home my son practiced for hours to perfect gaming techniques without any interventions. I decided to enrol him at the Play Meta Academy in Highbury and Islington and have not regretted it. An academy dedicated to Gaming - with fancy chairs, screens and enthusiastic staff who are so knowledgeable. There are taster sessions available and an array of games to sample.

Both boys attend the SEN session on a Monday. They have been going for over a year and really enjoy their time there. The place is fun and staff are great and very helpful. You can also grab some snacks and drinks. This is great value and enhances their social experience with others.

My son has been attending weekly classes at NewMeta for about 18 months now & he is still really enjoying them. The teachers are all great at getting on with the young people & he has made some good friends in the sessions too. It’s a great way to take something he loves & add in some socialisation & learning without even realising it. Team work, leadership skills & patience is all worked on each week along with the gaming skills.

What started as a free Saturday trial class turned into one of the best decisions I’ve made for my son’s development and social life.

I discovered New Meta Fortnite Academy online and decided to sign my 8-year-old son up for one of their free sessions - and I’m so glad I did!

It’s been amazing to see him play his favorite game in a more structured, social setting. He’s not just gaming alone anymore - he’s learning to work as part of a team, communicate with other kids, and take direction from pro gamers who really know their stuff. The coaches are friendly and supportive, and they strike a great balance between fun and development.

The venue itself has a great vibe, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always making both kids and parents feel welcome.

Another great highlight has been the Fortnite tournaments that New Meta organizes, with free entry for academy members. We attended one a few weeks ago and my son had an absolute blast—and honestly, so did I just watching how happy he was. I was really surprised by how many kids showed up and how lively and buzzing the place was. We’re due to attend another tournament in a couple of weeks and we’re both really looking forward to it.

I also ended up chatting with a few other parents during our time there, and I think an unadvertised but wonderful benefit of the academy is how it acts as a supportive community - especially for kids with social or learning difficulties. It’s extra special to see them working together, building friendships, and overcoming their struggles in such a positive environment.

It’s been a really meaningful experience for both of us. I highly recommend New Meta to any parent with a young gamer at home!
