An "Achilles' heel" refers to a fatal weakness or vulnerability. It is an apt name for this organisation.

We have to use Achilles as per a contract with a client. I've been trying for a month to *checks notes* pay Achilles money, but they really don't want it.

This started with a message from us, and then a voicemail from them. That said to ring them back (it goes through to a call center) or to "check your email". There was no email from Achilles.

I called the call-center but spent ten minutes on the phone and didn't get anywhere. They simply didn't understand what I wanted to do. Which is to reactive an old account.

Their livechat, no matter what time of day, will never allow you to chat live. It always says that they're too busy, and to leave a message. I've left many, but no one replies.

Someone, somewhere in Achilles will be looking at the numbers and thinking "what complex strategy do we deploy in order to increase revenue". If you get in touch with me I have the answer. (TL;DR, let me pay you).

Missold. We are a micro business. Our turnover is sub £500k. We cannot pay h&s consultants etc. This was not explained to me as part of the process. DO NOT use unless you are a huge co. Unhelpful. Took ages. We had 19 ‘observations’ which means you pass but it’s not really passable to prospective companies that hold a score system that you are not entitled to see. You have to sign t&c in which you give up your right to a refund. The co is impenetrable to speak to just give info from to discuss.

desde luego yo no sé que prometen a los clientes, pero que sepáis, que para los proveedores, no aporta absolutamente nada. Es una pérdida total de tiempo, no entiendo cómo pueden funcionar.
La Web es lamentable, no aporta absolutamente ningún valor añadido.
Por favor clientes, pedirnos que os mejoremos el precio, pero no nos pidáis que paguemos la subscripción anual a esta basura de empresa que no aporta nada más que dolores de cabeza.

Having to pay to enter information to work for Savilles and having only one site with them is disgusting. Over £900 for a small business to keep a client.....hello aren't we trying to save businesses not destroy them??? Their prices are scandalous and dont get me started on the paperwork that needs to filled in. Yet when they first contacted after taking over from another similar (better) system it stated 'no more long winded forms to fill in and long processes' they have literally lied to Savilles to gain the contract. Sorry Savilles but its a no....wont be paying that when the contract is only worth £3000 anyway....best of luck finding small suppliers who will pay that.

I have been harassed for over a year to subscribe our business on the pretense that our customers have asked us to join. They have not. The phone calls and emails have been relentless. Absolute scam. Avoid.

This company is a complete disappointment, and I strongly oppose everything they represent. As small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), we're forced to pay £1,000 annually just to submit an excessive amount of paperwork in order to be 'verified' for potential work opportunities. To make matters worse, Achilles, Alcumus, Safecontractor, and others in the SSIP group are collectively holding small businesses hostage with exorbitant fees and subpar service. Achilles is particularly problematic, with their support clearly outsourced to an Indian call center, where I have been misled for weeks about the status of my submission. These companies offer no real value to those of us on their system—we receive no leads, no inquiries, and are simply made to jump through countless hoops for a digital certificate. This feels like an absolute scam; it neither protects the client nor benefits the businesses involved. There needs to be a change in the industry.

Just another middle man company that skims money off of customers and suppliers without adding any value.

The client pays Savills to check the ESG status of its suppliers, Savills outsources this to Achilles, Achilles charges the suppliers to input the information, the suppliers passes the cost back to the client.

So the client pays twice and the supplier does all the additional work for free.

Great set up if you are Savills or Achilles, complete rip-off if you are the client, and borderline racketeering if you are the supplier.

Achilles UVDB - Customer support Dreadful. Struggle to get through. They don't get back to you. When you do get through the staff unhelpful. Totally unprofessional Company. Only interested in orders and taking money. Not interested in providing a professional service. Shame on you UVDB Achilles.

Used to be a 4 but they have updated their online site to a new app that is useless. I've tried getting assistance to reapply as all the links they send are invalid and the chat agent tells me to check my client portal to review my loan and sign documents. Ummm so my original question being "my client portal is giving me broken links to sign my documents" their solution "check client portal and sign there" ok thanks. So many other bad credit loan companies out there, who would want to deal with a company who refuses to assist their long term clients.
No one wants to be in this situation but I have borrowed and paid off all my loans on time for 3 years now and was great until they changed to the new client portal. It has been close to 5 months YES MONTHS that I have been trying to get ahold of someone in this company. No call back no email nothing. So last payment on current loan comes out in 1 week and I will use a better customer service oriented company if needed in the future.

I don't give any stairs to this company at all waste of time I filled out everything and still waiting after 24 hours now and my loan is still pending it's like they don't look or email anyone back it's a waste of time to do. I have shared a picture saying

spammers. Unsolicited junk mail. Scum bags.

Absolute waste of time and money. We have spent three months trying to complete their application, only to find that they have linked us to a third party site, which has installed incorrect info to our account. Don’t waste your time or money!

Achilles has always been technically flawed, but the whole concept of making so much information mandatory sucks the life out of you...I for one just populate it with dummy information for the questions that are entirely irrelevant to the services I provide to try and get some of my life back. They recently upgraded their systems which guess what...still Errors !!! AND they ask that you spend half an hour checking the information has been successfully copied across to the new computer, you'd think their IT staff would be capable or making sure it was done right !!

Dealing with this organisation is a truly dreadful, labour-intensive, soul-destroying experience. Woefully poor customer support, painfully slow and complicated portals. Awful! Avoid!
