Deceptive bait-and-switch: Do not trust their shipping promises
My experience with ActiveWrap has been one of the most frustrating consumer ordeals I have dealt with. When I first visited their site, a blue banner running across the top of the webpage clearly advertised free FedEx two-day expedited shipping for orders of $25 or more.
When I went to check out, I was shocked to see they were trying to charge me $18.20 for shipping. After I challenged this, they had me replace the order—only to then attempt to charge me a staggering $64.99 for that same two-day expedited shipping. It was a clear bait-and-switch. I discovered they had changed that blue banner to state the threshold was now $50, an adjustment they clearly made within minutes of my initial challenge. I had to engage in an exhausting, persistent battle just to get them to honor the terms that were displayed when I began my purchase.
The ordeal didn’t end there. After they finally agreed to the free two-day shipping, they failed to provide a tracking number. When I followed up on the expected delivery date, they offered nothing but excuses regarding a new fulfillment provider. I ultimately had to force them to step up and provide overnight shipping just to make them keep their word.
While the product itself is fine, this company’s lack of integrity and their attempt to extract exorbitant shipping fees after changing their own website terms mid-transaction is completely unacceptable. If you shop here, be prepared for a fight to get what is rightfully advertised.
