The floating shelf is of high quality wood and looks amazing in my kitchen, just what I’ve been looking for . Good quality product and a good level of information and order updates from the company, would definitely buy from them again .

What a fabulous company. Excellent products that are well made and look superb. Customer service that is outstanding with nothing whatsoever being too much trouble. I can’t recommend highly enough 🤩

Delayed delivery time. Poor after sales. Product not great quality with machining marks affecting the surface.

Ordered a table which didn't turn up for weeks after they had promised and every time we phoned it got pushed back again and blamed on something different every time. Extremely frustrating as we had to hire a table for an event in the end. The customer service is terrible.

The company has continually let us down on delivery. They have not kept us up to date and paid lip service to customer care. I would advise you to trust other more reputable furniture companies.

I feel this review prompted this company to deliver my order in time. I had it two days after I posted my frustration on this platform. Atleast they acted.

Their owner phoned to get me to change my review, which I am, but not because of his intervention. He was entitled and rude. I dont appreciate someone phoning me unsolicited and trying to railroad me.
Im going to change it because the product is good. Not without flaw, but better than most hand made items I've bought. Its solid and feels like quality. I suspect if they worked on meeting expectations, they would consistently achieve high ratings.

Received my table from Acumen a couple of days ago, and I absolutely love it. The workmanship is excellent, and the table looks amazing in our kitchen. It’s very heavy and sturdy, and will last for many years. I opted for rustic with live edge, and it’s more than lived up to my expectations.
Customer service from this company is first class, and they keep in touch to let you know what’s happening.
It also arrived in perfect condition.
If you are considering this company, I would highly recommend them.

Everything was great from start to finish. Great communication at all times and even when a possible delivery delay they kept in touch always. The shelf itself is absolutely beautiful 😍 fab work and quality. Thank you so much 😊

After a delay with expected delivery date and then receiving the incorrect order we were a little frustrated. However this was quickly looked into and dealt with. When the products did arrive we were thrilled. Superb quality items and great communication from Customer Service. Very happy with our gorgeous sideboard and shelf. Thank you.

I ordered a rustic floating wall shelf. My order was delayed and then when it finally did arrive around a month later, the shelf was damaged. Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to open the package for a couple of months after receiving our order but when we did we realised the wood was damaged and it was also larger than the size we specified. Upon fitting the shelf, it quickly became apparent that the wall fixtures are not at all suitable for mounting such a heavy shelf and the shelf hangs down rendering it completely useless, not to mention an accident waiting to happen. An absolute disaster, wish we had never placed an order!

We ordered a bespoke shelf to use as a mantelpiece with floating fittings. It was all supplied as described and the quality of the shelf is exemplary. We were updated at all stages of the order from processing to packing and delivery.

Would recommend highly.

Recently recived my table. Stunning. Solid quality that I'm sure will last. We put the extension leaves on and thought one didn't fit properly. I emailed and had a very prompt response to advise us to try swapping them over...We had put them on the wrong way round ! Embarrassing but a quick response made us very happy that all was well. ( should have known as when switched, the grain on the extension ran perfectly with the rest of the table. Beautiful. Solid. Just what I was looking for.

I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with Acumen Collection. As a returning customer who spent more than £600 on a bespoke office desk, the level of service, communication, and quality control I received was completely unacceptable.
The order was endlessly delayed, and I had to constantly chase them for updates.
Worse, the quality control is non-existent. the couplings and pipes do not match properly and cannot be fully screwed in, making the frame completely wobbly and structurally unsafe. The package arrived with NO printed manual. It took more than 10 exhausting emails back and forth with customer service just to get an outdated, incorrect digital version. The business owner admitted on WhatsApp that they sent the wrong manual and changed specifications without notice. I will never recommend Acumen Collection to anyone.
Avoid at all costs!

The delivery company frustratingly didn't deliver all 3 components on the same day and even needed chasing to find the last one but communication with Acumen was excellent and responsive and Emilia did all she could to resolve things.

When my items finally did arrive the quality and finish were lovely and I'm very pleased

From the initial order selecting of our table through to finalising the finish and optional extras including wood samples, the process was seamless and well supported in the Q&A area with answers within a few hours generally.
The quality of the Grassmoor Rustic live edge table along with its optional 1 leaf instead of 2 decision was a perfect fit for the room space we were working with.
Although the amended leadtime suggested a delay to our delivery date (as every item is made bespoke to order) we had clear communication from the support team at every step in the pre production then production to finishing process. Finally delivery was arranged for a day that suited us which completed the very satisfactory order/delivery process.
The after sales telephone call following delivery was also very welcome as some detail had still to be clarified and Malcolm and his team excelled at this too.
I highly recommend Acumen and their team to anyone looking for a bespoke item.

We ordered a table and bench from them a day after the cut off day for pre Christmas delivery which was on us, we had asked nearer Christmas if any chance of a pre Christmas delivery but was told no!

An after Christmas delivery actually ended up with our order being delivered on Wednesday 21st Jan, the scheduled was Monday 19th but that didn’t happen because the driver went home sick, Tuesday 20th didn’t happen because the driver had an accident (here is where it gets interesting)

When our table turned up the boxes were damp as if been left outside all night, foot marks from someone walking across them basically did not turn up in an appropriate state that is for sure!!

When taking the table and bench from the sodden boxes it was clear to see damage marks in exactly the same places on table and bench as if been crushed together.

When raising this we were told it was part of the rustic design, it wasn’t and they knew that hence offering to bring back free of charge to resand and wax, this wasn’t suitable for us after the lies and waiting so we wanted a refund after all what we paid for they didn’t provide!

This wasn’t suitable for them so they refused and every message that was sent strategically made statements such as this is not an admission of defect and such like.

We raised an issue with credit card company showing evidence of damage and vehicle being involved in an accident which they did fight but was upheld in our favour eventually.

What we thought would be a finishing piece to our new kitchen ended in a nightmare. The customer service as many have mentioned is ‘ok’ until you have an issue then Michael becomes really rude and aggressive in tone, zero customer service skills whatsoever.

Avoid this company!!!!!

We ordered a rustic table, 3 dining chairs, a dining bench and 2 bar stools for our new kitchen diner extension and they look great! Very happy and the ordering process was simple and straightforward.

First issue was the product was sent with two wrong parts preventing the shelves being assembled.

Second issue, correct parts were then sent but the wrong finish again preventing the shelves being assembled.

As there were only two finishes this was shear carelessness and poor quality control. I had already waited beyond the expected delivery date the above mistakes added another two weeks. Not what you expect from a premium bespoke product.

Great table , exactly as we’d hoped it would be .
Placing the order , confirming finish and agreeing a delivery date that fitted in with our building plans went very smoothly .
Disappointed with experience received from their preferred delivery company , having to ask for delivery in the house and not next to our skip , and then discovering a dent in our table which must have been caused in transit …. I wasn’t impressed with the customer experience I received , not expecting a video to show me how I could recover my table myself .
After a couple of phone calls and a delay caused by the bank holiday , a solution was agreed , my table top was collected , returned to Acumen for them to put right the dent and then returned to me in just over a week .

The production of our table and the delivery was delayed at least three weeks beyond the lead time plus two weeks delay they already allow for. Communication wasn't great. I usually got an update on my table just after I had phoned to ask what was happening.
The table arrived finally yesterday - it is beautiful.
But the assembly instructions are pretty non-existant . In fact they sent me the wrong instructions - a video which showed metal supports for the table extensions - but they didn't come with my order.
Thankfully I had a friend who is an engineer - who could work out how to assemble the table from the very scant instructions.
I'm very glad I didn't pay someone to put my table together - because I had to wait another day to get the correct instructions.
It's a beautiful table - I love it. But it is a bit of a mission to put on and take off the extension leaves. The video I saw when I bought my table showed metal supports that could just be slotted underneath the main table.
The system we have is wooden baterns that need to be screwed under the table/unscrewed when you want to remove them. Plus the screw holes aren't that well lined up (at least on my table) so that job is not that easy.
I think they should show clear assembly instructions and also instructions about adding the extensions on their website - so that we all know what we are buying into. I'm not sure I would have bought this table if I had known it was so complicated to add the extensions.
It is something I'll have to live with and hopefully won't need to add or take away extensions that often or and pray I have an engineer friend or good handyman available when I do.
