Trustpilot Reviews?
This review is for the adjustable bed from Adjust-a-Bed, specifically purchased through the retailer Land of Beds, from whom I received excellent service throughout.
I selected an Adjust-a-Bed Supreme 2000 Firm model from the Land of Beds website. Since there were no customer reviews on the retailer's site, I visited adjust-a-bed.co.uk, the manufacturer's website. I was reassured to see that they claimed to have a 4.5-star rating on Trustpilotâmore on this later.
The bed was shipped directly from Adjust-a-Bed with instructions that it should be assembled in the room of my choice. I provided detailed information about my home, including the need to carry the bed up one flight of stairs. However, the bed was delivered by a single person, and as I am 75 years old, I had to ask a neighbor to help carry it upstairs.
The delivery driver did assemble the bed, but I foolishly did not test it before he left. When I eventually did, I discovered that the lifting mechanism had been installed backwardâ the head lifting mechanism was at the foot of the bed. This also meant that I couldnât fit a headboard, as that end of the bed was not against the wall. Adjust-a-Bed refused to exchange the bed, and I reluctantly accepted a £60 refund issued by Land of Beds.
After using the bed for about two weeks, it became apparent that the lifting function was not working properly, and in my opinion, the entire bed was poorly constructed. The mattress felt as though it was made of straw. I contacted Land of Beds to reject the bed on these grounds. They were very helpful, and I agreed to exchange the bed for one from a different manufacturer. This has since been done, and I am satisfied with the replacement.
Given my disappointment with the Adjust-a-Bed product, I decided to leave a review on Trustpilot, where I am a Verified Reviewer. To my surprise, I found that under adjust-a-bed.co.uk, there were no reviews, and the site was listed as unclaimed. I did not leave a review at that time but reported this apparent discrepancy directly to Trustpilot.
I revisited adjust-a-bed.co.uk today, and their website no longer mentions a 4.5-star rating on Trustpilot. To be clear, I am not making any accusations in this review, only pointing out an anomaly that now appears to have been addressed. Itâs possible they may have another website with such a rating.
