Hidden costs
I have been with them to long but have used the agency they work with for years and as it is they agency are using advance for payroll only now . If I had yye choice I wouldn't use Advance simply because they have their weekly fee up at £22.95 per week this is because they added on a few pounds for insurance that you can opt out of but they don't tell you that and I consider that to be indecent the choice should be give to opt in at the start of each contract but instead each contract the put my fee up and I have to ask to get it down it's dishonest and im really don't like it if by chance they put the fee up in the future I will stop 7sing daniel owen agency nearly £100 each month to get a made is disgusting enough without the dishonesty

If you don't have a share code, don't bother
If you don't have a share code to prove right to work, don't bother using this company. Apparently settlement visas aren't valid for right to work. Even though you've been previously employed and have held the visa for 18 years

We take compliance very seriously here at ADVANCE and obtaining the correct right-to-work documents is a huge part of this. All right-to-work checks we perform are conducted in line with Home Office guidelines.
Upon checking your file with our Compliance team, I can see a member of the team advised that as your settlement visa was in an expired document, it cannot be used as proof of right to work in the UK. The team member also subsequently contacted the Home Office directly for clarification on whether the document you provided is an acceptable proof of right to work in the UK and they confirmed it could not be used.
I can see the team have relayed this conversation to you and advised on what we require, as per Home Office guidance

Shanghaied into using this firm
Shanghaied into using this firm, no surprise government end clients are still using pirates in the 21st century and like pirates I didn't need to accept terms and conditions of contract of employment sent by email before they told my employer I was on board. I refused to accept the terms when they harassed me by phone but they ignored that. I objected to a clause that stated the employer can change any clause in the T&C's, they replied saying they would not change key terms without agreement as that would be illegal, so why write that in the first place. I asked for my pension contributions to start straight away which they set up then asked me to do a trust pilot review. They have to set up the pension, it's one of the few things they have to do for their rip off charges. It may be this company is better than other umbrella companies, I don't know first time I've been shanghaied, but in general their pirates set up or allowed by pirates in government, make the employee pay all the employers costs that'll keep the taxman happy and it does. Disgusting politicians, disgusting company. Doubtless I'll face some lashes down the line for writing an honest review.

I can’t recommend Advance enough for…
I can’t recommend Advance enough for the contractor support they have provided to me. Never a single issue with payroll in over 3+ years and they have really shined when it has come to supporting me with a mortgage application. They have bent over backwards to provide various supporting documents on a number of occasions, always happy to assist, always someone available to talk to on the phone, and they have supported with quick turnarounds, always same day. The level of help and support they given me is truly above and beyond. I would strongly recommend Advance to any professional contractors.
