Avoid AIG â terrible experience, zero accountability!
I purchased AIGâs premium travel insurance , expecting peace of mind in case of theft or loss. During my trip, my phone and jewelry were stolen right next to me at the hotel beach.
Instead of helping, AIG turned the process into a nightmare â they sent investigators, asked for endless documents, and dragged me through unnecessary bureaucracy.
After weeks of back-and-forth, they simply refused to pay, hiding behind a ridiculous technical clause saying the items were not âon my body,â even though the theft happened at a private hotel area under supervision.
Bottom line: I paid for premium insurance and received nothing but stress, wasted time, and complete disappointment.
AIG talks about âtrustâ and âcare,â but when you actually need them â they disappear behind fine print.
Do yourself a favor and choose another company that actually stands behind its customers.
I have 2 policies with them. When it came time to actually make a claim they were very unprofessional and unknowledgeable regarding how to go about things. I am a hebrew speaker so ot was not a language difference bit rather inability of their employees to address a claim.
Unfortunately, I think I will be moving mypolicies to a different firm.
