Very frustrating experience with Aje. I purchased a full-price dress for around $800, and when it did not fit, their return system only offered store credit. Their posted policy says full-price items are eligible for a refund to the original payment method or store credit, so this made no sense.
I emailed twice with no response and had no easy way to reach customer service. For a brand at this price point, this is unacceptable. The dress may be beautiful, but the return process and customer service experience were terrible. I would never order from this place again.

Extremely Disappointing Customer Service
I returned a faulty skirt to Aje several weeks ago and provided all the required return evidence and documentation. Despite this, I have still not received my $217 refund.
I have sent multiple follow-up emails, left a voicemail, and even contacted them via Instagram. Their automated response states a 48-hour turnaround time, yet it has now been over three weeks with no reply, no acknowledgment, and no refund.
What makes this even more frustrating is that they continue to post regularly on social media promoting new products, while completely ignoring customer refund enquiries.
This has been a very disappointing experience. I have now escalated the matter with my bank and am considering further action. I expected far better service from a brand of this level.
I would not recommend purchasing from Aje based on my experience.
By the way my bank has stepped in to investigate this and the matter has been escalated with evidence provided and will not hesitate involving AFCA too.

My personal experience was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful I was trying to find a dress for my beach wedding. They took their time helping me, I didnât feel rushed into making a decision, they provided honest advice and when there was a slight issue, which was technically my fault, they resolved it straight away. The dress is stunning and great quality, customer service from the staff at Commercial Bay was above and beyond.

I would not recommend working or buying anything there, especially in Melbourne. The state manager is terrible human beings. The staff at the Essendon storeâMia, Aya, and Ellaâare lazy, rude, and untrustworthy. My experience was a nightmare. I am not only wishing but also praying every day for the day when they will face the consequences of their actions. Whether it takes 10 years or 20 years, I will be waiting!
The worst customer experience EVER!
I was emailed as a member and asked to provide a screenshot of my bank account for an online transaction purchase 4 days ago that has not yet been posted. It was for an item purchased on sale. They 'declined to proceed with my order" and would not provide contact details to follow up and NO REFUND even though they cannot fulfil their order. I have just lodged a complaint with fair trading. I will never buy from this company ever again!

Disgusting customer service!! I emailed them regarding a mistakenly returned parcel and they never responded to the multiple emails or calls. Today got a notification they actioned a refund without even acknowledging my previous correspondence. Appalling!! I have never been soo dissapointed with a company and their lack of support for customers. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Canât even re-buy the top as itâs sold out.
Completely dismissing Aus Consumer Law
Unreasonable and infuriating! Customer service team were sent photos of 2 pairs of footwear purchased describing and showing their faults. (One pair different shades of blue, the other has a crooked stich in the leather of the slide on one side) Jack and team have said unless there is a GENUINE fault they cannot help but understand how disappointing this may be. Genuine? Um excuse me?!?!
Really need to look at changing your name from customer service to something more accurate. Such a shame for an Aussie brand! I wonder whether Adrian and Edwina really know how their so called 'customer service' team are really treating their customers! I don't think this would be allowed to continue. I tried the item on in-store but they didnât have my size. Ordered online (for a better price) and could track my order almost immediately. It arrived 4 days later during the busy Christmas period. Very happy.
No customer service
I bought a vegan leather shirt with a matching skirt and a couple of the vegan leather -covered buttons on the shirt cuff were missing. In contacting the companyâs customer service chat to try to buy additional buttons, I went through nine rounds of texting back and forth (was it a bot or a person? Idk) The chat sent me in circles by asking and repeating a sequence of questions without getting anything accomplished. The customer service final resolution was âIâm sorry we canât help you and consult a local boutique,â which I have no local boutique because there is not one in my town.

With all the retail competition you would expect better. VERY poor online service and communication skills. Refund policy is a joke. And the quality of the products do not match the inflated prices. I bought a pair of their mesh style flats on sale for 110. Absolutely horrible, size runs very large and the shoes are very uncomfortable and âŠcheap.

Extremely Disappointing Experience â No Interest in Keeping Customers Happy
I was genuinely excited to purchase from Aje and bought three handbags as soon as the Black Friday sale went live. Less than nine hours later, they added an extra 25% off. I contacted them twice with no response.
When I received their automated request for feedback, I explained my disappointment and asked them to review my order, as the total difference was almost $200 within 24 hours of the sale going live. I finally received a response telling me to return the items and repurchase them at the new price. This made no sense â aside from the inconvenience and the unnecessary trip to the post office, the carbon footprint alone is completely avoidable.
I wrote back requesting a refund of the difference, but this was immediately shut down. Itâs very clear theyâre not interested in keeping their customers happy or doing the right thing by loyal shoppers.
Such a shame. This experience has genuinely put me off wanting to be a customer in future and I have also not only shared my experience with friends but colleagues alike.
