I had entered into a publishing contract with Authors Direct Publishing in July of 2024 and they have never completed their promises or committments under this contract. My book looks awful, the representative given to me to be in charge of my publishing process was less than satisfactory and ended up "blocking" my emails and correspondence to her and her affiliates when I finally began demanding some attention to my book and her obligations under contract with me.
I am now looking into legal action against Authors Direct Publication or Publishing, whatever they're called now, for a complete reimbursement of my total fees paid, for the lack of services promised under the service agreement made with me. It has almost been an entire year and they still have not been professional enough to answer me or complete the agreement they entered into with me last July. The antics of their representatives, Nancy Palmer and Mia Dawson have been ridiculously unprofessional and disrespectful in almost every aspect as of this date.
I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone trying to self publish and seeking proper treatment in the process. Despite my many months of patience, I have gained nothing but a less than satisfactory experience and product. I basically wasted $1300.00 USD. I have not made $.01 on my book because of their lack of services.
Beware of the "nice talk"! It's not genuine.

First by answering their emails.
I attempted to publish 4 manuscripts with this company. I paid 3,500 dollars. For months they mucked me about. Each time we spoke, all Noah Wilson would say was they had more ideas for more money. Each time I refused. At times I even asked for a refund, but they persuaded me to stay. I wanted my books published first. In the end in November, all communications broke down. Now I have no books and no money.

I am confused about this company. This company is linked to AKD publishing, which is the name used in their emails. Yet, when I clinked on a link TO that company, ADP comes up. Whatever...this is NOT a company to work with. They are highly incompetent and don't know very much about books. Pleasant, yes, and marketing-savvy, but not efficient. I worked with several project managers, each of whom did not oversee the work that supposedly had been done on my m/s but was not completed correctly or AT ALL. I send endless lists of corrections to be made, over and over again. This process took over two months (from April to the end of June) and was painfully slow due to the fact that they repeatedly couldn't get things right. At the end of it all, they asked me for an additional $1800+ for items that were not required at all. I checked with legitimate publishing companies who assured me that there was no basis for this cost. I refused to pay. At that point, I was called by a new person, David, whose job it was, he said, to put the book up on Amazon. We did that, together, but I was not given the opportunity to preview it (as the Amazon site permits) and it went live with many errors. I hired another company to fix the mistakes. I am suspicious of this company for many reasons, including that the reviews I see online span only a few days in May. And, this may sound odd, but everyone I worked with there had very Anglo names and yet clearly were not native English speaking. Stay away from this company!

(I am a well-published academic author, and I know what good publishing looks like!)

I worked with Christine to get my book edited, formatted and get a cover design. They did everything like I asked them to also assisted me with publication on several platforms. They are professional people and easy to work with.

I am very, very happy with the service. Noah has been very helpful. Service is great. Look forward to publishing my future work also.

Authors Direct Publishing came through to me when I had lost all hopes in getting my books sold. They helped me understand my audience and curated a 6 months plan to reach them. I have been able to connect with my readers now and its just incredible. The fee they charged is decent.
