Easy to use website, and communication is done well. Pricing is straight forward

It was very easy to design your building the way you would like it with your online program and the communication with the staff has been a great experience so far.

The most impressive thing about Alan's Factory Outlet are the people who work there! I called multiple times and spoke with multiple people to discuss various things to do with creating the garage I needed. All of them were very helpful, very patient and very pleasant when speaking with me. I want to acknowledge one person in particular... The last woman I spoke with, Lacy... she was wonderful!

The ordering process is quite extensive. I talked with a lady on the phone about my tax exemption. Sent a copy, then made my order. The Docusign documents sent to me still included tax. It took 2 more emails to correct this. Also, I inquired about a military discount to which I was told was not offered. Sad. IMO, the ordering process should be simplified, and every company in America should offer a veteran/military discount.

Professionalism via communications have been superb. Questions have been answered efficiently, designing tools via the website, and the order process have gone smoothly to date. Everything has been clear and concise, I’ve had no issues.

I placed my order the end of July. I called to get an update on my approximate delivery date/range. They were so rude and disrespectful. Not friendly at all. I called Alans Factory Outlet and the delivery contractor CAROLINA CARPORTS, INC for update information because it’s been a month and have not heard from anyone. No information could be provided. The only response is we’re booked up right now, we will call you three weeks in advance. This is the information you inform your customers about when confirming the order, not afterwards. I will never order from this company again. The online order process is great but the customer and staff is horrible once you pay that deposit and request updates. Will come back with updates throughout the process and photos once installation is complete.

My order was confirmed and signed on July 30! You may have reviewed the call with Alan’s but I can assure you, if you reviewed the call with your contractor, she was not polite at all!! I just know from my experience, I will never do business again or recommend anyone else of doing so. I recommend that they read the reviews of the contractor that you all have before purchasing because they 95% of the reviews are negative with 1 and 2 stars.

Update
Received a called from Carolina Carports, INC two weeks ago saying that the contractors would be out on 9/17 (Thursday). My husband took off work so he could be there. Unfortunately as stated in other reviews, they just called today 9/14 (Monday) to tell us they need to reschedule 9/20 (Sunday). I was hoping for a different outcome even though I had doubts because of all the negative reviews. I will come back with updates 9/20. Please order from a company that does not hire third party contractors and claims to be unaware of what’s going on. It’s no way possible Alan’s Factory is unaware of what’s going on due to all the negative reviews posted.

The pricing of the structure is well within affordable standards. The website allows you to design exactly what you want with the size, colors and access points..ie, doors / windows. I look forward to getting the structure assembled on my property.

The ordering process was so simple and easy to use, navigating through the website so so easy. The prices are so reasonable.. I would definitely 100% recommend this company for any of their carport needs.

We are just in the beginning stage of getting our barn built. So far they have been great to work with. They have responded promptly when we called with questions or to edit our order. They have been courteous and professional. The process has been simple and easy so far. We're grateful and thankful for a smooth experience so far.

Ordering was very simple and response was prompt. They have kept in touch making sure everything is understood and goes smoothly.

The design tool was extremely helpful. The representatives I talked to were very helpful and knowledgeable.

Initial ordering experience was quite easy…not all that simple setting up my carport design, but once in place the modifications I wanted were easily arranged. The follow-up requirements for clarifying site were not so straight forward and often seemed to have an added dimension to be addressed. After I have fixed these I’ll see how actual installation date and work proceeds.

Ordering process was very easy and straightforward. The online customization tool is great for pricing things out, and whenever I had a question could call or email Alan’s factory direct and have an answer the same day. The best part, is that I was dealing with customer service here in America, with people that actually spoke English. Thats rare these days and makes things so much easier. I’ll be ordering from them again if I have any need in the future.

Quoted 4-6 weeks for install. It's been over 10 weeks. Still have never heard from them, it's August 13 and they have already moved office hours to winter time and close to early for me to call. We ordered from alans, but they don't actually have any information. Maybe because we only spent $3000 we are not getting much attention. Complete disappointment so far.
