I cannot thank the team at Alfred Newton enough for their help and support with my will, divorce and ongoing family matters. Everything has been explained clearly and I have been kept up to date every step of the way. I thoroughly recommend Alfred Newton solicitors.

I recently used Alfred Newton for conveyancing and received fantastic service from Zoe Rollinson. Zoe was professional and very efficient throughout, she dealt with everything in a timely manner and was very prompt to respond to all queries. The other side were very slow and Zoe did did her utmost to drive the transaction through to completion - I have no doubt that without her help this would have dragged on for much longer.
Pricing was fair and excellent value - my past experience is that larger firms may offer slightly cheaper fees but the level of service is nowhere near as good, you're not assigned a dedicated case handler and it's impossible to speak to anyone on the telephone (you get what you pay for).
As an independent, family-run practice I highly recommend Alfred Newton to others. This was my second time using them and will continue to do so in future.

Alfred Newton helped me navigate through child contact arrangements and supported me and my children throughout what was a difficult period. My solicitor was supportive, knowledgable and balanced throughout and always gave me honest advice and ensured that everything we did was child focussed. I felt safe when talking to my solicitor and sharing my anxieties and every time went away feeling we were approaching matters correctly. Going through this process wasn’t something I would ever want to do and it was the hardest thing I’ve had to do, I’m so grateful for Alfred Newton’s support and honestly am glad I chose them and specifically my solicitor.

Our solicitor was very good and very helpful, but only worked Wednesday to Friday, which at times was extremely frustrating. The office closed for lunch, which again was very frustrating, especially on our move day. Our solicitor was not working on our move day and the member of staff responsible for transferring the payment for our new property appears to have messed up when doing so - This resulted in our removal men being sat in their van on an extremely hot day for around four hours and us losing valuable time when we should have been in our new property. This became the more infuriating because she closed the office for lunch and our calls were transferred to different offices who were not remotely interested in helping us! These practices would not have been acceptable some time ago.

Genuinely perplexed by the 1 star reviews as they bare no resemblance to the company and how we have experienced it operating. We have used Alfred Newton for two house purchases now and on both occasions they have been brilliant- never had to chase, really easy to deal with, managed to get the transactions done on both occasions very quickly. We will continue to use Alfred Newton for our future transactions too. Would recommend.

Alfred Newton Solicitors in Stockport: I was a first time buyer and very nervous and unsure about the whole process, however my solicitor Sarah Husain from Alfred Newton Solictors was brillant, she was extremely professional and dealt with the whole process from start to finish, removing all the pressures one can have when buying a new home. This helped me so much escpecially as I work full time. Sarah was readily contactable via email, always responded to my email queries on the same day and explained things clearly. I agree with Tonys review. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Avoid like the plague. Unprofessional. I WOULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS IF I COULD. My cousin lost a property purchase because of them. I just about got mine over the line through them after painful, slow terrible service from them. You can literally go with any other solicitor and they will be at least 10 times better. AVOID!

I had a fantastic experience with Alfred Newton solicitors, they looked after the sale of two properties and the purchase of our new home. Contact throughout the entire process was great, whenever I called I was always able to speak to Melissa and Sarah. They were clear with all correspondence and made the legal documentation far easier to understand than previous solicitors I have used. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and would certainly use Alfred Newton again.
