I converted my home cine to digital in 2005 and as video standards have improved so much now I thought I would give it another go to make them HD. I am amazed by the results, with the images cleaned up brilliantly. I did 8 cine reels from the 1970's forward and I am going to go back into my family archive and do some more. Top notch work!

I came across a metal cylinder containing 20 reels of cine film taken by my father over 60 years ago. They were in poor condition with clear signs of dirt and mould but I decided to research to see if they could be recovered. I choose to use Alive Studios, impressed with their prompt and comprehensive responses to my queries and the restoration services they said they could provide. My expectations given the condition of the film, confirmed by Alive Studios as extensive dirt, mould, colour fading and vinegaring", were not high. When I received the results on a Memory Stick on the agreed delivery date I was amazed at the results! Alive Studios have done a brilliant job , making the films easily watchable and bringing back long forgotten childhood memories. I have no hesitation in recommending Alive Studios and plan to use them again. Definitely worth the cost to recover irreplaceable memories.

I found some old cine films that my parents had taken over 55 years ago and decided to send the films to Alive Studios to have them processed and stored on a USB.
I chose Alive Studios from 2 other companies I looked into because the price was all inclusive, so it was quite clear what the cost would be. I also felt as a family firm that they would care more about my precious cine film.
I must say, I was right with my choice!
Customer service was excellent and I am so pleased with the result and can't thank everyone enough for their work.

I had a VHS tape of a party which must be over 40 years old, the quality was awful so I decided to try and get it cleaned up via Alive Studios and have been really impressed with the result. It is so much clearer and is going to be a very well received Christmas present. They were also great when I requested a speedier turn around time and got it to me within days. Very impressed. Not cheap but definitely worth it.

Making a quote and starting the order was done overnight. The whole work has lasted 2.5 weeks since the material receipt. The application form and process are described in detail. I've had access to the online portal and received notification every time the material entered the next processing stage. Downloading was straightforward; the package sent back was well presented and secured. The only downside was the price; it was well repaid by the service and communication. I've never felt the material was lost in the processing stages or through the postal service.

From the very start, Alive Studios were informative and pro-active with easy to follow instructions. They kept in touch throughout the process and the result was excellent. To see those old films brought to life again was a very emotional experience. Amazing!

I recently used Alive Studios to transfer some archieve footage for my documentary. I was hesitant as I had used two different companies previously, they were offering very cheap prices which was why I went with them, but the result reflected the price. I would highly recommend spending more if you care about the result of your films. You get what you pay for! Other companies also damaged my films but Alive Studios provided a cleaning of my films resulting in a flawless picture for my documentary.

I spoke with both the manager, Jennie and an editor Steven who took so much time in explaining how my film would be handled and the process. Both really knew their stuff and seemed passionate about the results they could offer. There's an online system which updates what part of the process your films are in which is reassuring too!

I also opted to use Alive Cloud which worked incredibly well for sharing with colleagues who were remote, took the hassle out of having to post DVD's or USB sticks / uploading and emailing large attachments etc.
Seemless pick up and delivery service also provided by Alive Studios.

I think most people look for a quick and cheap option and don't do their research. I'm so glad I did mine!!

Read the reviews and decided to ask Alive to transfer old videos on DVD to memory disk and enhance quality. Brilliant - the service was superb and the results were excellent. The old video had distortion and breaks - the new is smooth, clear and good quality. Would definitely use Alive again!

I used Alive Studios, some of the tapes had complications due to faults with the original camcorder, plus there were bilateral audio tracks on some of the tapes, which complicated my order. I was generally happy with the results, and with the support during the processing period. One small criticism was the time it took, some 6 weeks from start to finish. Some companies undertake to do similar work in a significantly shorter time. However, this is a small point, if the results are worth waiting for, and I think they were.
