Allison Homes - Venus Fields レビュー 

We purchased our new-build home from Allison Homes expecting a quality property and a professional aftercare service. Unfortunately, our experience has been the complete opposite.

Since moving into our property, we have experienced defects affecting virtually every area of the house, including bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, utility room, garage and external areas. These ranged from poor decorating, damaged joinery and faulty fixtures through to more serious concerns involving the boiler and drainage system.

The most alarming issue was discovering that the rainwater drainage pipe serving the garage terminated after approximately one metre and was not connected to the wider drainage network. This defect should never have passed inspection and raised serious concerns about the build quality and quality assurance processes applied to the property.

Over the past 7 months we have endured countless contractor visits, repeated snagging appointments and numerous occasions where remedial works created further defects. Examples include paint left in the bath, paint on metal door frames, incorrectly cut replacement shelving, garage trims repeatedly falling off and a recently repaired kitchen hob being reinstalled visibly out of alignment.

Even now, further defects continue to emerge, including a leak through the utility room ceiling and visible plasterboard joints across the lounge ceiling.

What is most disappointing is Allison Homes' response to our formal complaint. Whilst they acknowledged our concerns, they declined to undertake any wider investigation into drainage, plumbing or the building fabric despite the significant defect history experienced at the property. They also refused to offer any compensation whatsoever for the considerable inconvenience, disruption and stress caused, citing company policy.

The response essentially amounted to, "if something else goes wrong during the warranty period, let us know and we'll look at it then."

As homeowners we have spent an enormous amount of time documenting defects, chasing updates, arranging access for contractors and managing repairs that should not have been necessary in a new-build home. The level of disruption experienced has been far beyond what any purchaser should reasonably expect.

Whilst some snagging is normal in any new build, the volume, severity and ongoing nature of the issues we have encountered suggest deeper concerns regarding workmanship, quality control and aftercare management.

Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage prospective buyers to carefully research Allison Homes' build quality and aftercare service before committing to a purchase.

From the very beginning of our purchase journey, Kaya was absolutely outstanding. Purchasing a new build property and arranging a part exchange can be an incredibly stressful and complex process, but Kaya made everything feel manageable from start to finish.

Her communication throughout was exceptional — always keeping us informed, responding quickly to questions, and making sure we fully understood every stage of the process. What really stood out was how proactive and committed she was in helping get the deal over the line. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and she consistently went above and beyond to support us.

Kaya was professional, approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about achieving the best outcome for us. Her patience, reassurance, and determination played a huge part in making this move possible, and we truly do not believe the process would have gone as smoothly without her involvement.

She is an absolute credit to the company, and we are incredibly grateful for all of her hard work and support throughout our purchase. We would not hesitate to recommend both Kaya and the developer to anyone considering buying a new home.

We have just moved into our family home at Venue Fields, and we are in love with the property. It’s a very special purchase for us as first-time buyers and we were keen to be diligent in our process. Meeting Steve and his team, including Wayne and Louise has been so supportive. From the first conversation we felt heard and assured, and comfortable that the team really hold the buyer at the heart of the process, knowing that everything they can do for us in our new house will impact our experience for years to come. Steve has been responsive, friendly and quick to action any minor adjustments. Nothing is too big or too small, and his whole team are incredibly respectful when they visit our property. They have gone above and beyond and been generous with their support and anything they can offer during the moving period and first few weeks – we wish they could stay nearby forever! The house is beautifully designed, and we are grateful for the care and attention that has been taken to the finishing details and the gardens, which we still notice all the time.

Our journey started with Kaya in the sales office, who was also very generous with her time and took a deep interest in our journey. Knowing that I could call someone even after office hours if need be, made the whole process feel much more personal and we are grateful for that.

We would recommend the site and the developer to any friends, those that have visited have already taken notes. We already feel very settled and delighted with our decision.

Just moved in to our new home on Venus Fields, Needham Market and it is amazing. Just wanted to give a huge shoutout to our site manager Steve and his team Lou and Wayne they have been nothing but wonderfull !!!!

I cannot thank Kaya enough. She has sorted all my fixtures and fittings and been so professional but caring. I am delighted to have purchased on this lovely estate with such great customer service.

We have had a wonderful experience buying our first home with Allison Homes, at Venus Fields.
As newbies to this, it comes with a lot of apprehension and a feeling that you might be taken advantage of or miss something important through lack of knowledge but Kaya was and still is such a wonderful support. We had a very speedy move from a rental into our beautiful new home, right before Christmas, and I think it surprised everyone we told. No-one thought it could be done in 26 days from first viewing a home to getting the keys, and I know it is quite an exception but Kaya and Charlotte were always on hand to help us through the process and keep everyone working hard to get us into our forever home for Christmas! Kaya is extremely innovative and progressive in her approach and she guided us to use AI to help us write emails and check contracts etc. This made the process so much smoother and quicker for us and was a brilliant way for us as FTBs to feel confident in learning the lingo and the process of buying a home.
The house itself is beautiful - it’s finished to a high standard, is an excellent size and we love the location. Being a smaller development than some others we’d looked at, was a huge appeal and Needham Market is a lovely market town.
We couldn’t be happier with the whole process so far and would highly recommend Allison Homes and the wonderful staff at Venus Fields.

We brought a house on Venus Fields and are extremely pleased with the house, process of buying etc. Steve (lovely man) the sales rep on site was very helpful and showed us all types of houses on the site and talked us through each detail perfectly. Once we decided on the property we wanted he went above and beyond to make sure the buying process went through as smoothly as possible, even when issues arouse out of Allison Builders hands Steve was there for guidance and support top guy. Jade is also very helpful and was there on the day we moved in and got a couple of teething issue sorted straight away. Louise the after sales lady again is extremely good all snagging has been done with no issues. All in all top marks all round. The house is home already perfect, thank you Steve, Jade, Louise and all guys on site at Allison Homes.

We are currently going through the house buying process - Steve at the ELM has been amazing from the moment I went to the sales office to enquire about one of the builds. There’s so much to take in but Steve has cleared all of our doubts and concerns and made sure we have been informed about everything we need to consider. It’s a wonderful experience for us as we are first time buyers and we are very very happy we have decided to go with Allison Homes. Thank you so much Mr Steve for all the support snd effort because there was a language barrier and he managed to make it simple and understandable for us.Steve happily answered all the questions without any hesitation.Once again thank you so much.
