aloSIM is a free eSIM app available on the App Store and Google Play.
Install aloSIM to shop mobile data plans for 200+ countries, so you can enjoy a fast 5G connection on your next vacation.
aloSIM's prepaid travel data plans start at less than $5/week, and include a free international phone number from our sister app, Hushed.
New to eSIM? Most phone and tablets are already eSIM compatible, and it takes under 90 seconds to install an eSIM (digital SIM card) on your device. Once it's there, you can use it forever!
You may have tried eSIM alternatives before, like roaming on your regular cell phone plan, or using a carrier 'travel plan' where they charge you a flat daily rate even if you barely touch your phone.
But when you use aloSIM, you're skipping your carrier and connecting directly to local networks all over the world. Save money on roaming and get low rates on mobile data.
aloSIM reviews include customers sharing how it was quick and easy to set up their eSIM before a vacation, and how much they appreciate aloSIM's clear instructions on how to avoid roaming charges with their primary phone carrier.
aloSIM is proud to offer dedicated 24/7 customer support, 365 days of the year. Contact us via email (support@alosim.com) or live chat, and we'll make sure we walk you through every step.
Travel smarter with aloSIM, and never pay roaming charges again! Learn more at alosim.com.

Hello Gino, thanks for your review!
We partner with specific local carriers in each country, which is why your connection in Sri Lanka was tied directly to the Hutch network.

I have been using AloSIM for a fewâŠ
I have been using AloSIM for a few years and mostly with no issues. Except when I go to the US , which is the country I visit most. Usually I have trouble getting the SIM started. This time was no different, but I didn't have time to wait. I needed service immediately after landing. I bought a new SIM and it worked well from the start.

The data access doesnât always work
The data access doesnât always work. Iâm not sure if that is an alosim issue or something to do with Germanyâs network but the latest problem occurred in the middle of the city of Lubeck.
2026幎9æ28æ¥
aloSIM ããã®åç
Hello Sharon, thanks for the review!
Because our eSIMs run on the local German cell towers, sudden data drops in a city like LÃŒbeck are usually caused by local network traffic or temporary tower issues.
We're sorry to hear that it interrupted your trip.

User experience
User experience - installation & easy to follow directions. However, at any given point, texts were very inconsistent. Could text some people, same country, same town & not others. Some texts to me did not come through at all. Internet coverage also poor

aloSIM ããã®åç
Hello Jane, thanks for leaving a review!
We're glad the setup was super easy, but we're so sorry the coverage was poor.
Because aloSIM is a data-only service, traditional SMS texting isn't supported. This means any data-based messages (like iMessage) you tried to send were likely failing due to that weak local internet connection.

Need more clarity and unlimited calls

aloSIM ããã®åç
Hello there, thanks for leaving us 4 stars and sharing your thoughts!
We are constantly working to make our app and instructions clearer, so your feedback is super helpful.
While our travel eSIMs are data-only (meaning no traditional cellular voice minutes), you can absolutely still make unlimited voice and video calls using data apps like WhatsApp and FaceTime.
We also offer a free phone number through our sister app, Hushed, with qualifying purchases if you ever need to make standard calls! If you need any clarification on your next trip, we're here 24/7 at support@alosim.com.

Did not find it easy to use at all
Did not find it easy to use at all. Never got to use my own number as advertised and the "hushed" number would NOT set up for me. Used AloSim for basic google maps etc around Europe and had to re-fill it 4 times in a week. Not something I would use again. Feel like I wasted a lot of money when I should have just used a physical Sim like I did 3 years ago in Europe.

aloSIM ããã®åç
Hello. We're sorry to hear about this experience. Using your own number abroad depends on what your carrier allows for international texting and data, which is why we offer a free US or Canadian number through our sister app, Hushed. It works as a separate number you can receive calls and texts on through WiFi or data, without needing your home carrier to support it.
On the data side, apps like Google Maps, Instagram, TikTok, or automatic photo backups can run in the background and use data without it being obvious to us as users, which could add up over a week of travel.
Please contact us at feedback@alosim.com so we can review your data consumption together, see which apps were using it, and also take a look at what happened with Hushed.-- Brayan
