I (woman) tried to create a profile on the site several times and each time the profile was supposedly "approved" and then suddenly I couldn't log in any more. If I tried to reset my password then it never sent me a link. If I tried to fix the profile using my email address then it said the address was unknown. If I tried to create the same profile again then it said the handle was in use. And finally, when I created a profile with a new handle then it told me my email address was associated with the old handle! So what is it? Total incompetence? Software written by high school drop outs? Or maybe you just have to be scammer to keep a woman's profile up?? After all, I guess the idea of the site is to sucker guys in to pay for memberships, huh? lol

What isn't wrong. 95% of the women on ALT are fake or wanting money for some crisis. Even so bold as to use fake children. It has become comical now as to how long it will take for the hand to come out wanting monet. Don't waste your time or money

If you need practice in how to deal with scammers, it's a great site. Otherwise, pour your cash down the drain, you've more chance of meeting someone there.

I am a very attractive real woman looking for a partner. I was on Alt for maybe two days before being revenge banned for life apparently, as I was unable to have a new profile last for 15 minutes. Alt needs to protect their female members from misogynistic men who falsely flag a woman because they are not interested in them. When I contacted Alt, they said I violated their terms, which is completely false. Everyone needs to stop paying this horrible site and enrich sites that operate with the best intentions for their customers.

This site is 100% fake. Nothing but bots trying to get you to message and ask for information.

Nothing but scammers, some more skillful than others but all after your money. I reported a couple but to no effect. This site is a total waste of time and dangerous to boot don't risk it.

My account was hacked and stolen before the debit even cleared the bank ! Somebody else is getting 3 free months and Alt.com hasn't responded to my 5 emails/texts to their "help" center. Run by the mob , I say.

Do not buy there, You do not get the stof you pay for, they just say they are going out of ordet, but you can buy another.

Absolutely worthless. I paid for a one month subscription (make sure to turn off automatic renewal) after being a non-paying member for several years. I thought it might be fun to be able to exchange messages with the other people there.

What I immediately noticed was that most of the local people whose profiles had been on my feed on a daily basis, as if they were actually online, disappeared. As I tracked a few of them down I realized that many had not been active for months, one had been inactive for eleven years! Totally misleading and disingenuous for ALT to do this.

Additionally, notifications show up if someone looks at your profile, flirts or hotlists you. When you go to view their profile you often find:

Member's profile unavailable
Many of our users may temporarily turn off their profiles due to a successful match..." They had just looked at my profile moments before!
The handful of actual communications I had with other users, were from people on the other side of the country. No locals at all.

But wait, there's more. Even though I have a paid membership, if I send a message to someone without a paid membership, they can't read the message unless I shell out more money to allow them to see it...or they pay for a membership. Since most of the members are not paying...as I said, this site is absolutely useless and I have not had a single genuine interaction there. EVERY SINGLE ONE has turned out to be a scammer just looking for a payday.

Don't waste your time or money, Fetlife is free and works much better with many more users.

I concur with previous reports about this site, I was a member many years ago but recently thought I'd rejoin and try it again, Don't waste your time or money, as others have already said its full of fake people/profiles/scammers/prostitutes wrapped in a BDSM themed wrapper. The few genuine profiles are extremely hard to spot/weed out from the rest.

Alt.com is the AdultFriendFinder people's attempt at cashing in on the BDSM market. I've used it on and off for about 3 years now and have met only 1 legit submissive on there. The rest of them ended up being people who worked for the site, whose intention is to keep your interest, i.e., subscription going... or fake profiles/scammers/prostitutes. After this time, I can honestly say you should avoid this garbage and look elsewhere. There ARE some real people to be found but they are either in a power exchange/relationship already or it will take an enormous amount of patience, time and in turn money to find them. I also noticed that many of the people on alt, as with most dating sites have unrealistic expectations but I feel that is not exclusive to here. Look elsewhere.

I communicates with about a dozen women...AND EVERY ONE OF THEM IS A SCAMMER! Expect to meet scammers only.

Would give zero stars if I could. Scents smelt nothing like they claimed to be and some smelt purely just like alcohol. Contacted alt for a refund and they have some BS no refund policy (I wonder why).

No resolution and now stuck with all this crap that I wouldn't even use in the toilet.

A majority of the women profiles are bogus,,almost every profile of women who claim to be slaves always all want money paid to the them in advance for relocation costs even before meeting face to face,most refuse to cam or talk on phone,,the Dominant women,,so called Mistresses and Dommes all want paid tributes,,most photos used on profiles are stolen,,many are porn stars..The whole site is a Con,a rip off,,if you're into getting robbed,,you'll get it on Alt.com..also their customer service sucks,,I reported one profile because a photo of a porn star who committed suicide in 2017,,August Ames, was being used as the profile photo,,Alt.com did nothing,,profile remained on site,,so you was getting scammed by a corspe or ghost.

It's best to get the Silver membership and also with the additional 'free' access for non members which means you can then message anyone and they'll be able to respond if they wish.
The problem is most profiles are fake, i had several and one was been run by Victor pretending to be mistress Saphira and another, but he got caught out LUCKILY by PayPal who disclosed his account details as clearly not the woman he was pretending to be.
He then luckily got caught again after giving a girls account name to myself, who at the time I thought was a real person and mistress on the site but the payment sent thankfully was refunded by PayPal and the mistress said that she'd not got access to that account anymore so please use this one, which luckily was the Victor email already known as a scammer!

Alt has blocked the fake profile and several others BUT unfortunately all these people do is simply create another and usually with the same images possibly lifted off Facebook or Instagram.

My advice is thus NEVER send money to anyone, NO Exceptions.!
I lost €100 but thankfully got the €150 refunded by PayPal.
The 100 was actually worth losing proving that there's tons of fakes on alt, so again have a nice time there if you want to become a member, get the silver membership because it's better value and get the 'free' contact option too for non members as that gives you access to anyone - just DON'T SEND MONEY TO ANYONE you see on the site!

Mostly they now come off the alt messaging system so there's no record of asking for money.
If someone immediately asks you to chat offsite then it's a red flag.
Also as you've paid a bit extra for anyone to message you back, simply say we can stay on site because I added this option so we can chat here
At least there's a record then of the chat for alt to check if you click their red flag icon on any profile.

Also please note there's NO RECYCLE BIN on the alt messenger.
If you delete something it's gone!
I created a new folder in their messenger called RECYCLE BIN and then could easily dump junk into that but know the messages would not be lost if needed again.

I hope this review helps and alt is trying their best to stop the scams but it's not easy.
The best advice is to dry up the scammers by not sending them anything. Hopefully if word spreads they'll have less fakes to scam people who know their tricks.

nearly rejoined ALT today the upgrade for one month only Gold £31.73 just about to click confirm payment and saw it was £39.00 the end of that

If you've got too much money and too much time Alt will relieve you of both very quickly. It was an okay site about 10 years ago but now its just a scam fest.
