Do not sign up for amac roadside. They keep changing how you find your account, phone numbers, new companies (based in India or at least not understandable). Impossible to get assistance in a timely manner. Never send out new cards when you update and you can't find your roadside inside your actual AMAC membership. My roadside had just expired so I called to reinstate because I needed assistance that day. Definitely had an English communication issue with the tech. Assured me I could sign up, pay over the phone, be reinstated, and get towing service for $85/90 depending on how I paid. Turns out I was only paying for the service that day and did not re-enroll me in AMAC Roadside, even though he pulled up my account. I did get the towing service for $90, but it was only for that one time. No reinstatement of my amac roadside. They now use Liberty Lane but it does not show up on my regular AMAC Account. So, I'll have to go back to AAA and pay again! It's not a user friendly program, which one needs in a road emergency! And touting their "conservative" label, they utilize foreign entities who do not speak English in an understandable manner, so you sign up and pay for something that you're not really getting. No more amac road or AMAC period.

To include a Letter from the President of the USA with this crap is Shameful!!! AMAC should be held legally liable from all who mistakenly believed them!

The worst, stick with AARP. AMAC do nothing for you.

Enrolled and waited months to receive any communication. Special gift promised was sent COD which cost us $6 for two cheesy pocket nail clipper/knife and magnet both with AMAC on it. We have yet to see anything of value.

Through AMAC we subscribed to Emergency Assistance Plus and once paid we received acard from the AAP in which we are asked to Activate the card and can't get to anyone as just music and the promise to call back which never has happened in 2 days with multiple calls. Thus we will cancel this service and will not re-sign up for AMAC either which is a company which is supposed to help we old folks not hinder them such as recommending a company such as Emergency Assistance Plus. So will not re-sign up to Amac. Older folks are sure taken advantage of!

Seems to focus primarily on maga propaganda points rather than important senior issues.

I've been a member for 7 years. Every year when I renew I have problems with renewing roadside assistance. This year was the worst. I logged into my account using my saved link and login info, and renewed. I didn't receive any confirmation, so I called them. The first rep kept talking over me when I tried to explain the problem. I don't just want my renewal done, I want them to fix the problem so it doesn't keep happening, but it's impossible when they cut you off and only want to get off the phone. I ended up with three different roadside assistance accounts when I only have one login. The account that I've been logging into is closed, but I was never advised of this. The website is old and needs updating. It's not standard. I ended up hanging up and calling back to get someone else and ended up with someone with a nasty Whoopie Goldberg type attitude. I eventually hung up on her too because she didn't want to address the underlying issue, but only to give a temporary fix until next year. They both blamed me for the issue when it's their wonky website that's messed up. For one they need to link their databases between AMAC and AMAC Roadside. The account page needs to be updated to show not only paid and member number, but active dates, and not have a "sign up" link in an account you're already logged into. Pretty sure this is our last year with them as I don't see them addressing this any time soon. I started my renewal around 9am this morning. It's now 1:15PM and I still can't log into what's supposed to be my active 3rd account. This should never have been allowed to happen to anybody. It's a cluster. I retired with almost 30 years in information system with certifications in web building. It looks like it was built by a child. 2 stars for roadside.
