I was suddenly asked to verify my identity in order to access my account. I can understand the reason for this, but the process was unnecessarily frustrating: the system did not properly recognize my ID card, and the verification workflow itself appeared to be broken, repeatedly sending me back to the previous menu instead of completing the procedure when started from iPhone.
In the end, I managed to get through only by using a different document and a computer. This made it clear that the problem was not my identity, but the way Amazon handled the verification process.
Platforms like this are built on automation, but when automation fails there should be an efficient human fallback. Too often, with Amazon, the user is left alone to struggle with a malfunctioning system.
The issue was eventually resolved, but only thanks to my persistence—not because the process worked as it should.
I am sorry to leave a negative review, because I am normally supportive of KDP and I do recognize its value. However, in this case the service was genuinely disappointing.

A mixed opinion, but worrying how many details are required I understand verification but come on! I usually love Amazon but this website gives me mixed opinions I originally came here to publish my books however I’ve been faced with nothing but problems

I am in australia and was approached by this company to publish my book. It has been nothing but issues that i have had to complain about. The very last straw was having to pay 164.00au dollars for 2 of my own books. I cannot look up on amazon the book title and cannot access authour copies. When the two expensive books arrived i opened them hoping to see professional putting together. NOT ONE POEM WAS ON CORRESPONDING PAGE TO ILLUSTRATION. I HAVE ASKED FOR REFUND BUT THAT HAS GONE ON DEAF EARS. I HAVE EMAILED THE HEAD HONCHO AND BEEN FOBBED OFF. I AM NOT A PERSON TO FOB OFF AND WHEN I PAY GOOD MONEY FOR PROFESSIONAL WORK THAT IS WHAT I EXPECT NOT SOMETHING THAT A MONKEY COULD PUT TOGETHER WITH MORE COMMON SENSE AND PROFESSIONALISM. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.

I've had a great experience with Amazon KDP over the years, publishing both ebooks and paperbacks. The learning curve was smooth, and their support team has consistently been responsive and helpful whenever I've encountered issues. Recently, when my laptop crashed and I lost my transcripts, I reached out to KDP and was impressed by their prompt assistance - they provided me with copies of the lost files. If you're an aspiring author, I highly recommend giving Amazon KDP a try. Their services and support make self-publishing a breeze.

Llevo un año y medio trabando con Amazon KDP y en principio estaba muy contento.

Sin embargo, hace 3 MESES intente poner un libro gratis, me pusieron el libro gratis en todos los países menos en España.

Después de 10 contactos, con diferentes personas del servicio de atención al cliente en las que solo me pasaban plantillas sin revisar mi caso, el libro aún continua de pago, y me han dejado sin respuesta.

Por otra parte, publiqué otro libro la semana pasada, y en principio estaba aprobado, incluso pedí una copia para que me llegase esta semana. Sin embargo, de un día para otro me pusieron el libro en espera y me anularon el envío.

La cosa es que me pone un mensaje para que contacte con el equipo técnico, en el que se supone que pone que te responden a las 24 horas. han pasado ya 7 días y nadie me ha respondido y mi libro continua en espera.


Al menos podrían decirme que han recibido mi consulta, es un poco angustioso estar esperando con la ilusión de que se publique y no recibir ninguna respuesta.

Ya no se que más puedo hacer, el servicio técnico no me responde, me parece una falta de respeto total con un cliente y socio habitual de su empresa.

Quedo a la espera de una respuesta estructurada, una disculpa de parte de su equipo y una solución a estos problemas.
