One of the best prep providers, Concise videos, Plenty practice questions. Best for working professionals who dont want to wild too much time in wasted low weightage topics + want good understanding on how to prepare.

Used the CFA Level I question bank and mock exams extensively. The practice volume is useful, but I encountered a significant number of typos, ambiguous wording, and questions/explanations that were incorrect or internally inconsistent — particularly in the mock exams. During final preparation, this is the last thing you want, as it becomes genuinely difficult to distinguish your own mistakes from errors in the material.
Quality control falls noticeably short of the official CFA Institute materials, and I'd encourage candidates to prioritise CFAI mocks and QBank, especially in the final weeks.
Update (May 2026): I raised my concerns with the team directly following their Trustpilot response. To their credit, they acknowledged the issues, confirmed a wider review of the materials is underway, and issued a 50% refund. It doesn't undo the frustration during prep, but it was a fair and prompt resolution once escalated. Bumping to 3 stars to reflect that.

Over the course of my preparation, I have identified multiple questions in your mock exams that correspond to outdated Learning Objective (LO) published by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) for the FRM Part 2 examination. I have already reported several of these instances directly through your platform's feedback interface.

This is a significant concern for the following reasons:

1. Analyst Prep holds official endorsement from GARP, which carries an implicit commitment to strict alignment with GARP's published curriculum and Learning Objectives.
2. Content that falls outside the defined LOs does not contribute to exam preparation and may actively mislead candidates regarding the scope of the examination.
3. As a paying customer, I subscribed to this service on the reasonable expectation that all practice material would be fully aligned with the official FRM Part 2 curriculum.

I trust that Analyst Prep takes its GARP endorsement and its obligations to candidates seriously, and I look forward to a prompt and substantive response.

AnalystPrep is an outstanding provider with clear teaching, strong study materials, and an effective approach to exam preparation. The content is well structured, easy to follow, and designed to help students build real confidence and mastery. Both Irene’s world-class service and James Forjan’s teaching are excellent, and their work truly stands out. Overall, AnalystPrep delivers a high-quality learning experience that I would strongly recommend.

The powerpoint slides/notes that the lecturer uses contain very basic errors. It seems that in putting together the notes, not enough reviewing and vetting was done. Also the lecturer seems to read off the notes and does not explain much. Especially if the notes are condensed version of the actual readings, i expect the lecturer to be doing more explaining vs just reading the notes on the slides. Also whilst i appreciate the lecturer for citing simple examples, more relevant examples in a CFA context would be helpful rather than James Bond, and cucumbers

The videos were brilliantly put together and the instructor (Dr James) was fun and passionate. The notes (especially for the current issues readings) served as good revision material. The question bank was expansive and helpful. My recommendation is that they add more exam level difficulty questions into the question bank. The exam questions were more complex than AnalystPrep especially for FRM part 2.

I found Analyst Prep during a Hail Mary moment in my CFA journey. I had made it through all of the CFAI and Bloomberg test prep- and none of it was sticking. Then, I found Dr. Jim’s videos! All of the sudden, I was engaged, things were so much clearer. His real world examples finally made things click. I loved the q-bank- and I am positive Analyst Prep brought me from a likely to fail with a 5% conf interval to a definitive pass!

Professor Forjan is extremely clear and consice in his explanation of CFA topic reviews. He simplifies concepts and cuts out all the nonsense material that other test providers add to their readings. I would not be able to get through my L2 review without these videos. Thank you so much!!

Great teaching techniques. I especially like the stories which makes concepts memorable; and this is both when you like the stories and when you don't. When you are doing the tests (EOC and mocks are a must), you might be like I hated that story which (sort of) distracted from the content but here I am actually remembering the content. This in combination with the EOC questions helped me cover the wide syllabus really fast, and I passed level 1, without taking time to make and read notes. Great stuff!!!

Analyst prep notes and video sessions by Prof. James Forjan for CFA programs are well organized and designed that keep you engaged throughout as it conveys complex concepts into a simplified version and builds up your learning confidence with every passing moment. Highly recommended!!! 👍 If possible, buy all 3 levels of CFA program in one package and get lifetime access to them. 🙂
