Another Place, The Lake レビュー 

Having visited Another place and sister hotels we were always impressed by the brand but recently had a bad experience which has left a bad taste.We booked a room at Brackenrigg inn/ Another Place several months ago and were promised a superior room. On arrival the room allocated was extremely small and felt worn. Instead of enjoying fresh Lakeland air our room window was positioned above noisy commercial fans. Having raised the matter the general manager disputes what we witnessed and experienced. The car park area was dirty and littered with cigarette butts. It was decidedly sub par and frankly spoiled the aesthetic beauty of Lakeland all in all a very disappointing and lackluster experience.Caveat Emptor

I have been looking forward to visiting this hotel for some time and booked a stay after Christmas. Unfortunately due to illness we were unable to make the booking - these things happen right. As we were outside the hotel's cancellation policy I was unable to rebook and have lost the payment which was made in full. This feels like extortion and a breach of trading standards. Don't book as you won't be able to get your money back / enjoy the service if you can't attend.
