Sold mine and stepdad’s house through auction and express solicitors assigned me to these, 6 months later and the buyer has now backed out due to Usman not responding to enquiries asked by the buyer’s solicitor, he just blamed in on a complex situation cause the house was in trust and had to use LPA for my stepdad as he has lost mental capacity, all of which he knew right from start so instead of asking for original documents at the very beginning he waited until the enquiry stage and this took a couple of months to come through. He called me on several occasions asking if I had completed things that he never even asked me to do in the first place, I even asked him on one occasion what his email meant as I’ve never sold a house before so don’t know the legal jargon they use to be told it’s far to complex to explain. From the very beginning he didn't seem to know what he was doing and the communication was terrible, even when he posted all my documents back to me he called up to confirm my address even though it’s on file. Completely useless and has lost me a sale due to his incompetence and all monies I have paid out so far and I now have to start over again. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Used Applebys for a house purchase, which we'd bought at auction. Usman managed to expedite the transaction to comply with the terms of the auction contract, even with myself causing undue complications. The whole process was smooth and Applebys quote for the job was considerably less than other solicitors, so all in all, I'm very happy and would not hesitate using their services again.

I recently utilized the services of Applebys Solicitors for assistance with both wills and probate matters, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with their efficiency and professionalism.

Having seen the location, i felt compelled to leave a review. I chose not to instruct the firm for the following reasons. I did a little research via google street map, and established the building in 2012 was just a derelict up for let building. By 2014 it had became appleby solicitors so perhaps a very new firm. When passing however the location is intimidating with a crime rate that may well not even get recorded. Frankly I would not feel my legal files were safe in such a location. The location around the firm is also a mess. Sorry.

Applebys are incompetent don't touch them with a barge pole, not only did they misrepresent me in court by not forwarding the facts correctly to the court, but l ended up paying them £2, 250 pounds for a barrister etc because they didn't offer me insurance to protect me from costs, the ombudsman got £300 cost compensation for me but couldn't stop them chasing me for the court costs, so my husband payed it for me because of my stress, he couldn't afford it. It was suppose to be no win no fee, and l technicaly didn't lose, the judge dismissed the case due to lack of evidence, so steer clear they are heartless unprofessional out fit with no compassion for all my stress and injury.

I was extremely lucky to have the support and advice of my excellent lawyer, Graham. He was extremely kind and guided me through the process and was sucessful in securing damages for me. I am extremely grateful to him a d totally recommend Applebys.

Graham my solicitor at applebys agreed to send my file to my new solicitor after he decided to end my claim. Then he said its not my file it's his, then he repeatedly said my new solicitor hadn't asked but seen proof they have. He then sent an email requiring his costs covered to send the file. Been advised to go to legal ombudsman. So have.

I had a car accident case with them.The staff were very helpful and cooperative. I got the full compensation so I definitely recommend others to use their services.
