I had a great experience working with this tutor on my medical school personal statement and a few supplemental essays. His feedback was honest, strategic, and went beyond surface-level edits. He helped me cut out unnecessary content, strengthen my narrative, and avoid sounding formulaic. He clearly explained why certain changes were made when questioned, which helped me understand how to improve my writing overall for my other essays. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for efficient, high-quality guidance.

Nathan helped me edit my residency application personal statement, and I’m so grateful for his guidance. He gave thoughtful, detailed feedback that really strengthened my narrative while still keeping my voice authentic. The process felt very collaborative, encouraging, and genuinely supportive. The 30-minute consultation with Dr. Yee was great. So long as you have everything prepared ahead of time, it should go smoothly. He does provide some free services, however, make note that more in depth detailed services such as actually looking into your personal statement cost money, so just make sure you are aware of it so that it does not come out unexpectedly.

Nathan is an exceptionally talented writer. He listens carefully, understands your experiences, and brings out what makes your story and application stand out. Working with him is a smooth and collaborative experience. My writing and application would not have been nearly as strong without his guidance. I would recommend him again and again!!

Dr. Yee is a really fantastic application reviewer. He took the time to sit down with me and really look in depth at my ERAS and why I was applying to my specialty of choice. We came up with a plan together about how to outline my personal statement that was tailored to my unique application. It became a talking point during multiple interviews. I ended up matching at my number one choice at a Harvard affiliated residency! Thank you Dr. Yee!

My mentor from Application General gave me the best feedback on my personal statement for residency programs out of anyone who helped me. His feedback was honest and transformed my essay. After he edited my personal statement, it flowed much better and sounded like a cohesive narrative. It was almost like he pulled the words out of me that I was trying to use to describe my experiences, which enabled me to put my best foot forward for residency applications. Later, he gave me a mock interview. This was a true simulation of an actual interview, as he played the role of an attending physician at one of my target programs. Each question he asked was intentional and high yield. I had done two mock interviews with faculty at my program prior, and my mock with Application General was as useful as those, if not more so. He gave me valuable advice such as making a clearer vision statement and choosing the right type of anecdotes. 5 stars.

Nathan was very helpful in fine tuning my personal statement for medical school. He was great at helping me focus my statement, creating a more central theme and creating a more natural flow in my writing. He obviously knows what he is doing when it comes to writing personal statements, but be prepared for the high cost.
