I live in Richmond, VA and had a large residential delivery handled by ABF. Of course the oversized pallet was at the front of the trailer and was loaded with little thought of getting unloaded with a hand truck. The reason for the feedback is the driver JAMES was fantastic. He never complained and worked for at least 45 minutes to move the different pallets around and get the oversized pallet positioned to be moved to the lift gate and then off and into our garage. He really was fantastic and would be the kind of employee I would want to represent my company. Please be sure to pass along my compliments to the ABF management in Richmond, VA.

Our relationship started on 03/25/2026 and ended 04/02/2026. They were five days faster than scheduled. I bought a large item from Baileys online and shipped with ABF Freight, tracking-155241219. Every aspect was superb including packaging, handling of freight, communication, punctuality and timing. My driver notified me one hour from delivery and again 10 minutes from arrival. Great experience with full confidence of recommendation, encouragement and hiring their services again.
I wish, tracking could have began when my freight was accepted at first stop, but handling was so well that I can’t complain at all. Big job handled with expertise. Thank you Baileys and ABF or Arcbest.

My experience with ABF Freight was great. I received a clearance call to schedule the delivery, and then an automated call one hour prior to delivery. Then the driver called and mentioned he was a half hour away and would see me soon. Right on time the driver showed up and was engaging and friendly. Not often do things go to plan, especially in the freight world. I was happy will all aspects of service with my ABF delivery. Keep up the great work.

My delivery went exactly like they said it would. The driver was right on time and worked hard to carefully move all of our pallets and put them right where I needed them. He was very friendly and courteous.

Today I had a 13x20’ outdoor shed delivered. I want to thank my driver, Mr. Wilson, for an exceptional delivery. He was very friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure that the experience was smooth. Thank you so much!

They refused to pick up a shipment from my business address and lied about my business having safety concerns, even though they have picked up multiple shipments in the same month from the same address. When I asked the dispatcher in Sacramento, California about what specific safety concerns are preventing the driver from picking up, he refused to answer me and said “ It sounds like you’re not getting me right” then hung up the phone. I called customer service and they were super useless. They kept on transferring me from one to another and ended up with the same dispatcher that doesn’t want to pick up my shipments. They refused to give me back my money or even to specify what safety concerns are preventing them from pick up.

The lady that amswers the phome in Charleston was just so pleasant and went out of her way to find out about what time my shipment would arrive amd where the truck was. She just was plane nice.
The driver got here and we had to off load by hand and he was also very nice and didnt complaim a lick. Very good cistomer service.

Very bad service from marie. She is rude and demeaning and thinks she’s always right.

I used arcbest to buy ltl shipping, the initial carrier AAA logistics was not very good and didn't pick up the pallet, but Matthew from arcbest helped me, spoke with them and then helped me find another carrier which picked up the pallet on the same day and deliver it over the weekend.
Their customer service over the phone and by email was amazing!

Delivered on time. Driver got his 18 wheeler way back down my dirt road and unloaded my heavy machine exactly where I asked with zero help. Excellent service. Absolutely would use again. Above and beyond.

DO NOT USE ARCBEST and ABF freight!! They said it would take 4-6 days to deliver. It’s been over 2 weeks now and still no machine yet. They said it got lost and now that they found it, they want to charge me double the price we agreed on. I’ve asked several times for manager to call me back and nobody ever does. Very irresponsible company and nobody really cares. I wish I read the other reviews before I hired them.

I requested a pickup from Ohio for a powder coat oven. was told it would take 7-10 business days. After a couple of weeks i reached out and was told that no one was sent to pick up the load and they would go right away. called a few weeks later and was told they had been to the pickup location 3 times. I was not called during these times that they supposedly attempted a pick up. I contacted the machine shop that i purchased the oven from and was told that they would not send anyone away without the load as that is what they do all day long. I was told that ArcBest did not come to pick up on any of the days they stated they made attempt. Speaking with ArcBest staff i was told that they did not have reason to contact me about not being able to pick up the 3 said occasions. I would not recommend using this operation as they don't appear to be honest, customer service oriented or prompt as they made me believe. Find a different company for your shipping.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with this delivery service in Fort Mill, SC. I paid for home delivery, yet the driver left the two pallets from my flooring order on the street, not even in my driveway.
Since I was at work and the delivery window was five hours long, the driver called me. I politely asked him to open my garage and leave the order inside, but he said that wasn’t something they do.
In the end, the service was completely disappointing and unprofessional. I had to move all 85 boxes into my garage by myself. Very dissatisfied with this experience.

I ordered a saw that was shipped freight all the way across the country, after dealing with other freight companies i didn’t have high hopes my package would come without some damage, to my surprise i got the best freight experience i have ever had. From customer service scheduling the delivery and answering all my questions friendly and accurately to my driver being fantastic, i couldn’t really ask for better. To top it all off my package looked as if it hadn’t been transported at all.

I am so impressed with the professionalism and follow through given to get our order picked up and delivered in a timely manner. it started with Marine and was followed to the end with Evan Gentry. We were able to meet our out date for our customer. if we ever need a freight company we will absolutely go to ARCB!!!! Best experience!!!!!

Had the privilege of working with Wayne Hutchinson at the Louisville Kentucky Expo event this past week. What a true professional. His hands on efforts and constant communication helped solve a situation for my company. We could have not gotten the freight picked up without Wayne.

We had a pick-up today from our facility and I must say the truck driver was the most pleasant to deal with. Satwant Nagra was very helpful and polite and was great to deal with!

If I could give zero stars, I would. The people who delivered it literally left $4200 of flooring on the side of a main road because they didn't have any other equipment for moving it with them. My husband got to take the rest of the day off of work to frantically move it all.

Rude and ineffectual. I had two orders delivered directly from the manufacturer. I live in a house and I have never had any delivery issues before.

Order 1- ineffectual: I paid extra for delivery of 1000lbs of tile inside. When the driver got here he told me he could not deliver it inside because I live on a hill. If you have some ridiculous conditions under which you will deliver, provide that information before delivering the products.
This driver was friendly and kind, so I let him deliver it inside my garage, which is 5 steps from the curb over a 1 foot elevated “hill”. My question is, does this company need a loading doc to compete the task that they have been paid well for? I now have to pay my contractor to transport the time from the garage up the hill to my house.

Order 2- rude: This, a 350 lb tile order, was scheduled for delivery several business days before it was actually delivered. The drivers are meant to give you a call 1 hour before delivery. This diver shows up with no notice on a day that I did not even know he was coming. Also, he was very rude from the moment he called to announce himself.

Because I paid for in-home delivery and did not get it the first time, I asked for him to deliver it inside the garage. Again the garage is 5 steps from the truck. No dice. He wouldn’t even let me use his hydronic lift to put it in there myself. He was so obnoxious from moment one.

I am in the middle of a renovation and need more deliveries but I am planning on going the extra mile to avoid using this delivery company. I do not want them to have $1 of my money going forward.

Tayla was the best to work with out of the Atlanta facility. She went above and beyond to help me get my shipment to the Medline facility that was not answering emails.
