Dishonest, deceitful, disorganised, disgraceful.
Our first mistake was to place an order with A R Furnishings on 2nd December 2020, for a San Martino extending dining table and six plain piped chairs at a cost of over £1600. Order No. 1381. After 8 weeks and no sign of the goods we were fobbed-off for a further 8 weeks, after which time the table arrived. Inspection revealed that the edge of the table was damaged and we only received four chairs not six. The chairs were also not the chairs that we ordered. Again when this was reported to Andy he stated that the chairs we ordered were no longer available and had been discontinued by the manufacturer. At the time of writing this review there are several companies offering the type of chairs we ordered, one of them being Imaginex. Another month passed and Andy managed to locate the two missing chairs. I would like to point out that every delivery we received was labelled "Imaginex" and the delivery drivers when questioned confirmed that they were from "Imaginex". It begs the question Who are A R Furnishings? Andy agreed after a further two months to replace the table top, and, as two of the chairs were substandard, agreed to pay compensation once the table top had been replaced. The table top finally arrived, again from Imaginex, and, at last, was fitted. When a call was made to ask about the compensation offered by Andy, it became apparent that Andy was no longer to be found. Now we are dealing with Alexander. Don't be fooled into believing that he will help you. He has fobbed us off for weeks and when I called him last he told me there was nothing he could do as he had no authority. He told me that Andy would contact me, however, what a surprise, he never has. It appears that when you place an order with A R Furnishings you get what you are given.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
After being totally and completely ignored for months, within an hour of posting this review on Trustpilot, would you believe it, I got a telephone call from the elusive Andy at A R Furnishings. The call was mostly about them and how everything was out of their control, even the imaginary warehouse manager couldn't help us, however, I was eventually offered minimal compensation for the sub-standard chairs, but only if I removed the review. I told A R Furnishings that I do not work like that and the review was staying.

A R Furnishing's reply.
What a work of fiction. I think that A R Furnishings have very selective memories. To read the reply you would believe that they were almost competent.
With regard to being kept up to date about the processing of our order. Totally untrue. Who would pay £1600.00 on the 4th December when the order wouldn't be processed until the end of January. Really!
With regard to the chairs. We were not advised that they were no longer available until the four chairs were delivered (we did order six). I firmly believe that A R Furnishings had no clue as to what was being delivered to us until I informed them. At the risk of repeating myself, the chairs that we did order are available on several sites. One of which is Imaginex, where all our furniture was delivered from.
The reason that we decided to hang on to the chairs was very simple. We didn't believe that we had any hope of getting a full refund. We still haven't received the compensation promised. We still have two sub-standard chairs and, the extremely heavy damaged table top that Alexander asked us to re-package for collection, is still here with us and A R Furnishings are refusing to collect it. It is extremely heavy, plus I don't have a vehicle large enough to transport it, so, yet again more cost for me to have it removed.

I ordered two Hilton lamp tables on delivery one had very slight damage to the side of it nothing major after discussion with Alexander the matter was rectified to both parties satisfaction thanks for your help on this matter Alexander

We ordered a dining table, 4 chairs and a bench seat for our new house, the delivery company attempted to deliver the table on the day we were due to move in even though they were told to deliver it the following week. When we did get it we opened the box straight away and found the frame has bad weld marks on the visible surface which they will not replace, also the marble table top was broken in two. We reported this to then straight away and the refused to send out a replacement straight away until they had gone through their procedures. The chairs haven't even been sent yet they keep lying to us that they have sent them via did. We have tried to get information out when the replacement table and chairs are coming but they haven't replied to email from a week ago yet. Do not use them as their service is appalling.

Great and efficient customer service. Alexander was attentive and very helpful. My order arrived promptly and the delivery man was kind enough to assist with bringing my order inside my house. The only reason l have not given a 5 star rating is because the majestic chairs that l ordered, although absolutely beautiful, was difficult to fit the leg into the holes underneath the chair which l have reported to Alexander to let the manufacturer know. Other than that, everything else was perfect. Thank you!

I continuously get email asking to review but still haven’t received table or even a date to expect it how can I review what I haven’t received . There has been no other contact from AR furnishings

Recently ordered a bedside cabinet to fit my new bed frame and I dealt with Alexander and Andy, delivery was much faster than anticipated and customer service was great, props to the boys for being so patient and helpful. Will defo be back again.

Delivery arrived before the estimated time of arrival and I am extremely happy with this company and the high-end products they are providing, Highly Recommend!!!

1 star = ‘bad’ does not come close to expressing my negative opinion. 7 months after paying - no furniture, no refund, no reply.

Order placed early December 2020. They failed to deliver (their courier was unable to comply with a simple request not to deliver on a Thursday morning). After chasing repeatedly & delivery to the wrong address (where, despite it being their error, they left the furniture abandoned for weeks), I tolerated their rude & aggressive replies, on the rare occasions when they replied at all. I racked up a huge phone bill with AR staff & their courier trying, without success, to arrange collection & re-delivery. In May, after the courier refused to deliver due to their concern about damaging the items (very odd, suggests it was already damaged!) I was offered a partial refund subject to a £400 DEDUCTION, one third of the cost of the item ordered, as their handling fee/service charge! I must have missed the ‘service’ bit. 2 months later and I HAVE RECEIVED NO REFUND - £0. No doubt they will claim that it was impossible to deliver to the globally recognized freight carrier’s office in Portsmouth. However, only AR Furnishings seem to have a problem delivering to the right address. I have never been so stressed about a piece of furniture, nor spent so much of my time & money to receive ZERO in return. Please do not risk it unless you want to spend the next year of your life pursuing legal action.

Amazing customer service from Akhi (sorry if not spelled properly) ordered a PS5 and expressed my concerns that i thought it wouldn’t come in time for my boyfriends birthday to then get a phone call to say he can drop it off at my house today as I live near by! Thank you very much I really appreciate it! 😁
