Thank you for this opportunity to clarify how workshops for 6 to 16 age range are organised. Our behaviour policy is clear that every student must concentrate and contribute positively to the art environment. All students get their own project which is appropriate for their age. There were 4 students in the afternoon of the 24th July that was attended, in a 30 square meter air-conditioned space equipped with every possible material, and a highly trained art leader giving almost personal attention. It’s felt within this context, it’s perfectly reasonable for students aged 12 and 14 to have the space to have a stimulating, engaging, challenging art experience. Separately, over the same period at Hampstead- there have been some workshops for 11+ year olds where the average age is 13. This is how our credit was offered to provide flexibility to adjust and if this is still an option, please write to customerservice@art-k.co.uk to arrange.

Thank you for your feedback- it's great to hear they felt proud of what they achieved. I'm not entirely clear about your comment about 'how to continue at home' but if the project they came for isn't finished, then just pop back to the studio outside our session times and I'm sure they'll love to chat about art and what to do next - bring some pictures so they know where you are at. If I missed the point entirely- please write to customerservice@art-k.co.uk. And if you would like to come again for summer- we're taking bookings for summer workshops- don't forget you can use childcare vouchers. Thank you for your very considered review. This review is based on attending 4 sessions when our average student stays around 4 years. The process of learning and creating can be slow initially as students maybe venturing out, finding their confidence in a new environment with a new teacher. Every student is allowed to find their own pace because creativity does not respond well to being pushed or given a deadline to finish.

Every student has their own project and is tutored individually. Our art leaders are teaching art skills and although delivering parents evidence of completed projects is the result, it’s not the aim. We provide a dedicated permanent art studio on the high street providing all materials, plus the highly qualified, trained, friendly staff who teach students individually. art-K is an enriching educational experience and currently your group has 8 students – all enjoying learning their art skills together. Today your session concludes with an art exhibition where parents are welcomed into the studio to see and discuss what their student has been learning and seeing all the other students art work/ what projects are next term etc. We hope this is an enjoyable opportunity for you to hear about what we do and why over 5000 children a week attend art-K to learn art skills.
