AstroLegal helps businesses based outside Europe register, maintain and protect their trade marks in the European Union. Every file is handled by a lawyer qualified in the European Economic Area (EEA), whose name you receive by email after the first contact. Why companies come to us: under Article 119(2) of Regulation (EU) 2017/1001, a business with no domicile or establishment in the EEA must be represented before the EUIPO, the EU trade mark office, in every proceeding except filing the application. Objections, oppositions, transfers and licences all require a representative. If the Office asks for one and none is appointed, the application is refused. What we do: • Representation before the EUIPO for non-EEA trade mark owners • New EU trade marks, starting from a pre-registrability study delivered as a legal opinion signed by a lawyer • Trade mark watch, to stop similar new filings within the three-month opposition period • Anti-counterfeiting: monthly searches, infringement reports and out-of-court action on marketplaces and websites • Renewal deadline monitoring for every registered mark • EU trade marks for Amazon Brand Registry: one registration covers all 27 member states Our prices are published on our website, taxes included. Maintenance plans start at €290 a year and never renew automatically. Our registration fee for new EU trade marks is €0, and existing trade marks get a free prescreening by a lawyer.
