Imao sam bookiran auto za rentu putem AUTOUNION Zagreb ali kad sam zvao da dodu po mene oni kazu nemamo auto za Vas imamo tehnicki problem i nemamo niti jedan slobodan auto da Vam dodjelimo iako sam rezervirao 3 mjeseca unaprijed.
Ovo je stvarno nedopustivo i losa slika zato

DO NOT RENT HERE. Like many others have warned, this company operates a predatory insurance scam. I booked via CHECK24 under the name "AutoUnion," only to be sent to a remote shuttle location for "Funchal Drive." This name switching is the first red flag.

Upon arrival, they claimed my digital credit card was "invalid" for a deposit, even though it works everywhere else in the world. I offered multiple reasonable solutions to secure the deposit:

I offered to use the physical credit card of the second driver who was present.

I offered to switch the main driver to the second driver so we could use a physical card.

The agent refused EVERY solution. They deliberately blocked every path just to force me into buying their local insurance for €292.50. This was nearly DOUBLE the price of the entire 9-day rental itself (€150).

The ultimate proof of their dishonesty: they claimed their terminal "couldn't handle" my digital card for a deposit, yet they successfully used that EXACT same terminal to charge my digital card for the insurance.

They trap you at a remote station via shuttle and then exploit you. This is not a professional car rental; it is a forced-sale operation. Save your money and your vacation—book with a reputable brand at the airport instead.

AutoUnion Milan - DO NOT BOOK
this company is beyond awful. They wouldn’t pick us up after 10pm despite confirming that they would. This meant we spent the night in Milan airport with 3 children. When we were collected in the morning the desk advised us they had cancelled our booking and they couldn’t help us. They were extremely rude and unhelpful. They were awkward. Please save yourself hassle and stress and DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY

The worst dishonest rental car company I ever expierienced.
We landen at 21.15 in Zadar airport in the dark.
We had to wait for 25 minutes to be taken to a dubieus place in the Middle of nowhere . There weer 6 cars parked. We hired a Golf with navigation system.
We were “upgraded” to a KIA Stonic. All cars were damaged in a more or lesser way. We had to wait for 30 minutes before it was our turn for inspection. The inspection took 30 minutes in the dark with 1 led light on the location, the led light of An IPhone was used to indicate scratches , damaged Rims, dents, etc. The fuel level was 50% , the car was not clean, found the day after empty drinking bottles under the seat. There was no navigation in the car. Their comment “ well Just use you navigation on your mobile phone “. There was a major problem with not proper closing backdoor, with was not reported on the inspection list. We insisted to have it on the report, they told us it would be amended later. We allready got very suspicious and were afraid we would be charged at return of the car so made a lot pictures and video’s to proof the damage was present before we go the car. 6 Other customers had to go to the same procedure that evening. At 23.15 we left the premises with a lot of doubt and suspision. We only took the car because we hired through sunny cars with all-risk including buy of deposit . When we returned the car 8 days later it realy became nasty. They said the car was clean when we took it , they claimed there was a new dent at the back and we smoked sigarets in the car. They said “ don’t worry about the dent , you have all risk coverage by Sunny Cars and we will charge them. I told them I would not sign for it especially because we had pictures of the dended cover when we took the car. They they were a bit shocked and didn’t talk about the dent anymore. Then the worst problem was that they said sigarettes were smoked, which was not the case. She showed me some grey dirt between the driver seat and the driver door. Luckily my partner also made pictures of this spot when we got the car. We called Sunny cars and they agreed to leave without signing the release document. After 1.5 hour of frutration and discussing they took us to the airport.
When you read other reviews you can read and conclude that AutoUnion is a company that makes her income by claming existing damages several times either by the insurance companies and or the users.
While writing this review still getting very angry and frustrated.. DON’T HIRE IN ZADAR FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

Fantastic experience with autoUnion car rental at Pula airport. The staff were friendly, courteous and efficient. They were very reasonably priced and didn't try to force you to take out extra insurance which happens so often. They provided pictoral evidence of any existing damage to the car which was great, so you don't get charged for something you didn't do. We were even upgraded to a larger car which was a bonus. We would use them again with no hesitation. Brilliant crew.

I rented from skopje airport and I highly recommend it! For the first time, I rented a car without any issues. The staff was very friendly. Their location is not at the airport, but they provide a fast shuttle service to pick you up. The car was in great condition.

DO NOT RENT A CAR WITH THIS DISHONEST COMPANY !
They charge me 27 euros for missing fuel even though the gas tank was literally overflowing (see picture taken at the gas station 800 meters from drop-off location). They refuse to admit that the gas gauge was not working properly.

Furthermore the car was in poor condition with lots of scratches and very dirty.

Don't be fooled by their low prices. They don't tell you all the details. You end up paying fines and administrative costs. Will never use them again, would rather pay much more. It was the worst service I received from a car rental agency.

Booked a holiday through jet 2 including hire car from auto union in Parga Greece September 18th to September 25th 2024. We were collected from the airport to be taken to the car hire office. Filled in all the paperwork and then paid a deposit of 290euros refundable on the retuned of the car. We returned the car to the rental office in the same condition as when we collected. I thought it strange when arriving back at the office the auto union person told us to leave our luggage in the car and he would return us to the airport. There was no paperwork completed and he didnt check the car over. After several emails to Autounion to return my deposit, all I get are excuses and your depost will be returned. As of today the 8th of November, this money has still not been returned. I shall certainly no tbe using autounion again.

We rented a car at Zadar airport, where we received excellent service from Nadinic A. when we picked-up the car and when we dropped the car. All went smooth, and we were not charged for damage not caused by us, as you hear and read often horror stories about rental companies charging you for damage which you didn't cause but which was already present at pîck-up (which also happened to us with another rental company in Spain). We used AutoUnion now the second time and we will use them again in the future. Thanks
