Booked a rental car through Ryanair…
Booked a rental car through Ryanair with full insurance included, only to be told at Turin Airport that my perfectly valid driving licence was "damaged" and the car could not be released. Strangely, once I agreed to pay an additional €468 for Autovia insurance, the car suddenly became available. I felt pressured into paying to avoid being stranded at the start of my family holiday. Despite a formal complaint, I have received no satisfactory resolution. Very disappointing experience.

we are sorry for the experience you describe at Turin Airport and for the pressure you felt at the start of your family holiday.
Autovia requires a valid original driving licence for vehicle collection. However, an Autovia protection plan is a separate and optional service: it is intended to reduce or eliminate certain financial liabilities and does not replace the documentary requirements for the rental.
For this reason, if the vehicle was initially refused because the driving licence was considered unsuitable and was then released after the purchase of an additional €468 protection plan, this sequence needs to be checked carefully.
Please send the booking confirmation, the rental agreement, any document or note relating to the driving licence, the receipt for the €468 charge, and the correspondence already exchanged regarding your complaint to customercare@autovia.it, so that the case can be reviewed on the basis of the actual documentation.

Los coches son muy buenos, son muy amables, pero como siempre hay un precio, me hicieron un descuento que no se de que es y además no me han dicho nada sobre el reintegro del dinero retenido.

Der Mitarbeiter von Autovia Turin wurde fast gewalttätig
Die Autofirma hat den Vermittlungsvertrag von Check24 nicht anerkannt und einen neuen teureren Vertrag mit schlechteren Bedingungen gefordert. Als wir den Vertrag abgeschlossen hatten und mit dem Schlüssel zum Auto gehen wollten, sagte unser Freund, dass er nicht mehr bei Autovia mieten würde. Daraufhin rastete der Autovia Mitarbeiter aus und nahm uns den Schlüssel ab. Fast gewaltsam. Wir mussten dann zu einer anderen Firma und bekamen die bereits von Autovia abgebuchten 95 Euro Alterszuschlag bis heute nicht zurück.

der von Ihnen beschriebene Vorfall ist sehr ernst. Ein Mitarbeiter darf niemals aggressiv reagieren oder einem Kunden den Schlüssel auf einschüchternde Weise abnehmen.
Auch die Nichtanerkennung der über Check24 erhaltenen Bedingungen, der verlangte neue Vertrag und der Alterszuschlag von 95 Euro müssen anhand der Buchungsunterlagen geprüft werden. Bitte senden Sie den Voucher, den Vertrag und den Zahlungsnachweis an customercare@autovia.it, damit unser Team den Fall und die noch ausstehende Rückzahlung prüfen kann.
