I am delighted to write in genuine praise of AwardBlinds.com. I had a very tight delivery window. On my enquiry as to potentially expediting delivery, a representative from the company took personal charge of my order phoning to explain they could not promise delivery but would work to advance production on their end. The dedicated attention to my request was so reassuring and a delight even had they not succeeded in actually delivering the shade ahead of time! And the product is just as described. So a rare example of attention to detail and customer service. No surprise that the company name is AwardBlinds. Thank you for caring about my small order and shepherding it every step of the way.

Excellent

First and foremost, the blinds are great quality, easy to use and easy to install. It has been about 6 months since we installed them in 3 bedrooms and the dining room and they still work and look great! We loved everything about the transaction from the quick ship of samples, the measuring instructions, to the quick ship of final product. Customer service was quick and professional.

Success with roman shades!

I am very pleased with the quality of both the fabrics and the construction. The online information about measuring, mounting, and style choices helped greatly as I successfully installed inside-mount roman shades for the first time on old-house windows. Great email communications as well.

Quality and Price - ease of installation was thumbs up

Order took a bit longer than anticipated bit over 2 weeks- but was holiday time. Very happy with blinds and the quality. Very easy to install. Took about 30 minutes to complete the install. The brackets are very easy to use, and the shade looks very nice installed. I would definitely purchase from AwardBlinds again. Price was great and quality appears to be pretty good.

Excelent product at fantastic price

Approximately 10 days ago I ordered the replacement blinds (honeycomb shade). It arrived yesterday via FedEx. The box was in excellent condition so I did not have any worries about damage. As instructed I opened the box and all was in good condition. I then took down the old window covering. I am guessing it was approximately 30 years old (it was probably the original covering). The window faces the east and is subject to the hot sun for half of the day. The old honeycomb shade was falling apart. I looked for replacements and was quoted approximately $1,200 plus installation. I then went to the World Wide Web and started looking for other options. Your web site popped up and I found it hard to believe the prices. I was a little concerned it may be a scam. AwardBlinds replacement was almost 9 ft long and 6 ft tall. Your price of $380 was amazing. It only took me approximately 1 hour to install. I took care to use a string to align the retaining clips (5 of them) and the unit clipped right in. I am now enjoying the new top down and bottom up new shade. I just had to send this note thanking you for an excellent product.

Loved the color choices too

It was so easy to order from AwardBlinds. They gave good directions on how to measure for the blinds and asked questions like would it be an inside or outside mount. They also had the quickest delivery date and best price.

Top Notch

As a consumer I am very careful about ordering online. Award Blinds was very truthful, and I received exactly what I ordered in a timely fashion. The ordering and installation instructions were easy to follow. I received an email immediately confirming my order. I had a handyman install my shade and he was amazed at the great quality of the product. My shade blocks the sun during the afternoon and still lets the light in. I highly recommend Award Blinds.

The cellular shades these people sell are junk

The cellular shades these people sell are junk. Eventually the cells will stick together, and the shade won't drop without pulling on it manually. The material then appears crinkled. This is a quality issue. It was only a matter of time before the continuous cord loop breaks.

Thank you for the review. I apologize for the delay in replying, we were trying to locate any proof of an order from you. The order number that you provided in TrustPilot's review system is not our order number. In an attempt to locate you as a customer we searched our order history, going back to 2005, and we have no orders from any customer named John Gregory. We also searched for orders with the last name Gregory that had ordered cellular shades and in our 19+ years of business, we have never had a customer with the last name Gregory order a cellular shade with a continuous cord loop. We then searched all emails and there are none from a John or Gregory related to cellular shades. We also sent you a request through TrustPilot for more information and you did not respond. We then reviewed the records of all warranty issues for cellular shades in our system and we have never had a customer report the cell issues that you stated. If we had, those issues would have been resolved through the manufacturer warranty.

Based on the above information, it is clear that this is not a legitimate review of our company or our products. However, we are more than happy to assist you with contacting the correct company or even the manufacturer of the shades that you have. We sell cellular shades from several different manufacturers, many of which are the same exact manufacturers as our competitors. Due to this, we are more than happy to assist you to try and get your issue resolved, even though it was not an order placed with us. Amazing customer service to ensure satisfaction

I ordered two light-blocking cellular shades with top-down-bottom-up cord lifts for rather tall windows. One of the topdown functions did not work properly, depending on how low the bottom was dropped. When I emailed customer service, I got an almost immediate response asking for video of the problem. Within a couple of days after that, I got a phone call saying that the shade would be replaced with a higher quality continuous cord at no charge -- AND they were replacing the second shade too, so the two would match. I was blown over by the lengths to which the service agent Patrick went to make sure we were happy with our product. All I asked for was either advice on getting the shade to work or a replacement. I didn't ask for an upgrade or a matching shade -- it was all offered to me proactively. That's what I call great service!

All 3 blinds have been perfect

We have ordered three sets of blinds and every one has been perfect. Set up is easy, sizing is perfect to match, and the customer service has been great. Our first set had a color that was backordered but they quickly helped us choose a new color and then continue to help us color match the follow-up order.

We are sorry to hear about your opinion of our emails to you. Here are the full details for everyone to read, as all communication prior to this review was handled via email.

The manufacturer of the product that you ordered mistakenly shipped the order to our office in NC, instead of to your address. The shipment arrived at our office on Wednesday, 3/6, outside of our business hours. On Thursday, 3/7, we discovered the shipping error and we contacted the manufacturer asking how this could be quickly resolved. The manufacturer replied to us stating that FedEx was scheduled to pick the shipment up on 3/8 for re-shipment to you.

Before we could relay that information to you, the manufacturer you emailed us the following on 3/7 at 3:35pm EST:
"I got proof of delivery that my blinds were delivered to North Carolina? I live in Greenwood, IN. What is going on?"

We replied immediately on 3/7 at 3:48pm EST with the following (just 13 minutes after we received your email to us)::
"The manufacturer mistakenly shipped your order to our office in NC. It is being reshipped tomorrow to your address. We apologize for the manufacturer’s mishap on shipping. Thank you!"

The shipment was ready and waiting for FedEx on Friday for the pickup. Unfortunately, when we returned the to office on Monday, 3/11, we discovered that FedEx had not picked the shipment up. We contacted the manufacturer asking that they re-issue the pickup to get this resolved. They replied at 3:20pm EST that the pickup was re-issued it for 3/12.

You emailed then emailed us on 3/11 at 3:23pm EST, just after the manufacturer's reply, saying the following:
"Do we have new tracking information or when I can expect them now?"

We replied on 3/11 at 3:27pm EST with the following (just 4 minutes after we received your email to us):
"FedEx did not make the pickup on Friday, so we sent the information to the manufacturer. They contacted FedEx and FedEx changed the pickup window to tomorrow, Tuesday, 3/12. Once it is picked up, they should provide us with the tracking number. At that time, we will add it to your order status and email it to you automatically. Based on typical FedEx transit times, you should receive the shipment around 3/15. The tracking number will provide a more accurate estimated delivery date. Thank you!"

FedEx surprisingly showed up at our office on 3/11 at 8:10pm EST, outside of our business hours, and made the pickup instead of on 3/12. After the pickup, we entered the new tracking information into our system and it automatically emailed the tracking number to you, so you were aware of the new shipping details. According to the tracking the shipment was delivered to you on 3/13.

We never had any other emails from you until we received this negative review. If anything in those emails is "lacking and smartelic", then we apologize. We replied to both emails immediately, within 13 and 4 minutes of receiving them. All email information is provided in this email, so others can read our replies and see if they were anything but factual.

After receiving the review, we attempted to call you to discuss it and you answered the phone in a rude manner demanding that we never contact you again and that we remove you completely from our system. It was then attempted to be explained to you that if we completely remove you, we will have no record of you as having an order and we would not be able to assist with warranty issues. You started swearing at our representative due to that information and threatened to sue us. You then hung up when the representative attempted to explain that we do not provide the warranty, the manufacturer does, so while you could still get warranty assistance through them, we would not be able to assist because we would not have any record of you as being a customer. Per your request, your information has been completely removed from our system, in accordance with the Privacy Act. Thank you and we hope you have a nice day.

Extraordinary Product and Customer Service

Not only did I get a superior product, at an extremely reasonable price, I received extraordinary customer service, after I messed up my initial order!! I have just placed another order with them, and will continue to use them, and refer all of my family and friends to them going forward.

Unmatched quality, reasonable price

I recently purchased a 66” wide, wood Venetian blind for my home office window, and had it installed this morning. It looks fantastic, just as I imagined, and I’m so grateful that the quality and finish is top notch. Same goes for the room-darkening shades I bought a few years ago. Great Product and superior customer service!

I reviewed the website about ordering roman shades for my new kitchen and laundry room. They sent me several free material swatches to review which was extremely helpful. We chose the one that worked best, measured the windows and placed our order. Once ordered received by company, they immediately wrote back with some adjustments to my order and the reasons why/costs. It was about three weeks later and the shades arrived. We hung them and they are BEAUTIFUL! I will use AwardBlinds.com again for future projects plus I'll tell all my friends.
