These types of platforms make it easy for voice actors to continue earning between gigs, etc. The admin staff is communicative and very helpful with navigating projects on the platform. I highly recommend Babel for beginners and veterans alike in VO industry. I have had the privilege of working them for almost a year now.

They removed me from Community Chat because my complaint had to many responses and made them look bad, never told what I violated to be removed, went from 30 calls a day to 0 and they couldn't give me an explanation why, now there's no money to be made, it seems like they did incentives and bonus to get a large sample size then project throttled everyone. This type of behavior is concerning.

I have been with BabelAudio since November 2024. I have over 5,000 calls completed. I definitely believe that this company is one of the most user friendly platforms. They provide many tips on how to correct issues that may occur while using the platform. If the information doesn't correct the issue, an email can be sent to Support. They will reply within 24-48 hours. If the issue is something that quite a few are experiencing, they will come onto the chat line and discuss the issue with the participants to get a better clarification on what is not working. BabelAudio also holds Office Hours online where we can ask questions that directly affect each individual participant. The pay is great considering the facts that I can work whatever hours I want when I want. Work is available 24/7. Come join the fun and earn money while you are at it.

At first, babel seemed like a great and easy going company. They were at first very supportive to new users. I was in the English generalist project. I started last week. They give you four calls to start off with. They say that the first four are just to see the quality of your audio, but they will give you an opportunity to improve. I first used Bluetooth headphones which produced poor quality at first, but I changed it to a wired Logitech headset. Once I did everything begin to improve. I used Krisp for the microphone and Logitech headset for output. The weird thing is before you can enter into a conversation session, they test out your mic, network, audio clarity and background noise. I would pass the checks each time. When the conversation is done, I would normally get flagged for background noise, although the check did not detect any. The only background noise from the graded snippets was me about to form a sentence or If I just got done speaking.

I read on a thread that they started using a new UI system and that it incorrectly flags background noise when you are formulating a sentence or agreeing with the person your speaking with. I emailed support multiple times on this issue even with screenshots. They never replied and you know what happened next? I got an email that I was removed from the project. No one cared to troubleshoot the issue or to find out how to correct it. I have seen people mention this same issue on their community chat. All their told is to move their headset away from their lips and be careful when clicking on mute. Babel knows about this incorrect flag but will refuse to do anything about it and the fact that they did not email me back twice regarding this issue to at least look into it is super unprofessional. I basically got removed for no reason. My call quality improved and the only thing it kept saying was that I needed to improve background noise that was not literally there. This is why you cannot fully rely on AI to do everything for you without a physical manual review or human to check into the error. They are aware of this issue of flagging people for something that was incorrect. They just don't want to nor care to do anything about it. But It's ok, the best is yet to come, I don't need to be linked to an unprofessional company such as this. I appreciate the time I had there and the good conversations I had with others. I thought they were a better company than this but I was wrong.

There are others out there that will pay even more. Don't stop here for those who was removed from the project despite a buggy known flawed system that was no fault of your own. My last call was good and all green but yet they yanked me off without any explanation. I even provided screenshots but don't be fooled by the fake energy the company brings off not to resolve their system bugs. I won't bash them but they should do better by people. Despite their worship of AI, its the people that make this company. I believe this is purposely set up to get rid of people for no reason so they don't have to pay out so many people. Its cool. Bigger and better doors will be open. I don't want to see their fake generic reply because I got receipts.

Been doing this for a couple of months now, it's not a scam as some people suggest but they certainly don't operate very ethically, in my opinion.

They're constantly changing the platform- you can lose an entire day of work (or more) because of site bugs or server errors on their end. (Admin will blame you for this in the forum for 24-48 hrs before finally fixing it. You will not be compensated in any capacity.)

You'll spend more unpaid time troubleshooting than actually working and earning money.

And speaking of the pay... they randomly dropped the video project pay from $60/hr to $50/hr with no warning, announcing the change on the same day it took effect. What's to stop them dropping it again? And again? And again?

Their standards are constantly changing and getting harder to meet. I'm not convinced this isn't some sort of psychological experiment to see how much they can jerk us around before we go insane or give up.

Babel audio is a great freelance opportunity to have great conversations with people you do not know. Subject projects you get to do asking question in a normal coffee shop conversation. I love the freedom of working at home and learning from all people in the USA. Would recommend to anyone who loves great conversation and wants to make a little extra money. Thank You babel!

I did a few jobs (conversations) which I knew I did well, really well and they removed me from the project with no explanation. I spent a ton of time setting it all up, did great work and they drop me from the project with no expiation, completely unethical. I have a ton of work experience and I've never been treated so poorly. Shame on them.

The process is easy. Follow the rules and it's great side income or even full-time income. I enjoy speaking with other folks, hence this is perfect! I do think they should increase the pay.... no major complaints. I'm enjoying myself...

Once I initiated the application process it proceded rapidly. The information was clear and the process seems simple. Onboarding was quickly accomplished and made me look forward to beginning the work.

This is probably one of the best work from home gigs one can start if you have access to a computer, a quiet room, a microphone, a headset, and stable internet. You are a 1099 worker earning decent pay for each quality call you do, Whenever there is a hiccup with the platform, you are able to chat with an administrator by email or direct message and resolve issues quickly. You also can earn bonus pay for achieving certain milestones or using your referral link to recruit friends and family members. Quality work is rewarded with more access to projects. I was able to use this gig to replace my full time job.

I have been working with Babel for almost a year, and I have been very pleased with the company. The interface is easy to use, and the work is simple and fun.

Babel Audio is a great experience and a great place to work... especially if you need a job that has flexibility to line up with your personal schedule. You get to have meaningful conversations at your own convenience. It's a great work from home experience where your co-workers are friendly and your management team is even friendlier. :-)

Great, great experience. The company is very organized and the process easy to understand. It is important to have a good audio set up, but it has been so enjoyable to work with Babel Audio. Highly recommend if you enjoy chatting. They pay on time and have had no problems with this.
