They don't seem to respond to emails or cancellations.
I have been induced early due to pre-eclampsia, I've emailed twice on two emails I've found AND filled out the cancellation form and heard nothing back. It's due to be despatched on Monday if they still despatch and charge me for it I will be furious. The last thing I need right now. I can't easily call them either....
This is the second time I have used this company to hire a TENS machine for labour. The service was seamless and the team were very responsive when contacted.
Paid for next day delivery but didn't get it and when raised with customer services I was just told how to track the item. The Tens machine we received only partly worked - you could up the power but the only way to decrease power is to turn off and back on, losing information on contraction timing.
Update: had a call this morning to review my order and both the postage and the cost of the tens machine have been refunded. I think this was a one off but worth checking your machine when it arrives to make sure all is well before you need it.

Regarding the TENS machine, all of our units are fully tested before being sent out, but as soon as your hire is returned, we’ll test it again and investigate further. We take any product concerns seriously and want to ensure everything is working exactly as it should for you.

Hired for my wife. She said it helped a lot during labour. Our little one decided to arrive late, but they were so understanding and made everything stress-free. Can’t recommend them enough!

What a horrible money making business! I can’t fault the machine but the customer service from this company is ridiculous! You could have died giving birth and unable to return the machine and yet they still demand the money back and willing to charge if you don’t return! For a poxy £5 a week charge you guys are being unreasonable on peoples experience and life’s! I would not recommend! U could be a day late on a return and they are on email down your neck! I emailed people advising my baby was in intensive care! How is a mother meant to go home to return a machine when her baby is in between life and death! Disgusting!

The email you received was an automated reminder sent to all customers when a hire unit is not yet logged as returned in our system. At that point, we had not been informed of your personal circumstances, and we would never knowingly send such a message in the midst of what you were going through.
As soon as you contacted us and explained your situation, we replied to confirm that we would waive any late fees and that you would not be charged.

Brilliant service! Arrived exactly when I needed it, having used a tens machine for my previous labours I was keen to get one again this time round - although 12 years later for me! And just as good as my first baby 16 years ago.

I rented the Babycare Elle TENS2 for use during labour and it will definitely be an essential item in my hospital bag if I have another baby.
I found the rental process straightforward and convenient. The machine arrived at 37 weeks exactly, making me feel reassured that I have it in case I went into labour early. It came in a pouch that's easy to slip into your hospital bag, keeping all key parts contained. It also came with clear return instructions, a checklist, and a pre-labeled jiffy envelope for easy return.
The Elle TENS2 machine itself was great and it has multiple settings so you can figure out what works best for you. It was also generally really easy to set-up and you can order extra electrodes in case you need them (useful if you plan to go in and out of a birth pool).
Would use again and highly recommend!

I have used Babycare TENS for both my births, and would be an essential item in my hospital bag if I was to have another baby.
The TENS machine itself was absolutely brilliant both times, with lots of levels/settings you should definitely be able to find something which works for you.
All in a little pouch, very easy to transport and easy to use.
The unit arrived 3 weeks before my due date as booked both times. Babycare TENS make returning very easy with a checklist and return bag included - taking away any faff.
I would definitely use them again, and have recommended them to friends.

As a first-time mum, my partner persuaded me in to hiring a machine to help the labour goes smoothly - I took no notice and thought to myself, would I really use it? Well, I must say I’m so happy he ordered this kit, it helped out massively and took the most of the pain off my mind.

Great product. Was a lifesaver for my wife to deal with the pain at home before going to the hospital. The Boost button really helped her. We bought the Elle2 and the midwife was impressed with the contraction timer readings which came in real handy. The unit arrived on time and was really easy to set up. Would def recommend

The website was really easy to use, and I had a question, so I called their numbers and a actual person ordered. They were very friendly and helpful lady answered my query, and put my mind at ease. I have recommended Babycare TENS to all my pregnant friends who wanted to either buy or rent a TENS machine for their labour.

I used this for my labour (with twins) right up until I had an epidural. It was a life saver before getting to the hospital and also once I was there....this was the only pain relief I used up until having the epidural!
I would highly recommend this product as it is so easy to set up and can also be used after labour and for pelvic floor stimulation which is a really great extra feature.

Used it for my first pregnancy and it helped me wonderfully throughout the whole labour process. This was the only pain relief I had during labour and I did not have to use any other pain relief. I have now ordered another one for my second labour.

I ordered this as the product said it would arrive for 37 weeks, however now I am now 37 weeks and the product has not arrived. When calling the helpline I have been told it is 5 working days to deliver in the 37th week so nearer to 38 weeks.

I have dysmenorrhoea and my monthly pains are pretty nasty, with fainting, D&V and being unable to move for a couple of hours as I am frozen in agony.
I'd heard the maternity tens machines would be good for this, and I was actually excited waiting for my monthly time to come around, having purchased this a few days before that time.
I placed the pads exactly as shown and switched on, playing around with the different modes, intensity and Boost button. There is no doubt that you get electrical stimulation, but in my case it felt like it made no discernible difference to my pain levels, and I've just had another two days of debilitating pain after parting with almost £50.
I genuinely don't know if I was expecting too much, but having spoken to a midwife who said her opinion was that they helped women in labour considerably, I thought, it had to be worth a punt.
I'm not sure if it's worth sending back under their 30 day money back guarantee (which is a really fair offer, and suggests that this must work for a lot of customers), or whether to try again next month. But I'm not sure what I could do differently.
I might try contacting the company for advice first. But if there was further advice to be had, I'm pretty sure they'd publish it in their instructions included with the product. 🤔
The machine itself is easy to set up. The pads are a bit tricky to place if you are doing it singlehandedly, as I was, so two mirrors to check their placement is useful.
It took a bit of getting used to keeping them on and going to the loo without disturbing the pads, but I think you get used to that, and it's not like i would be using it on a daily basis.
The boost felt good, I have to say, like somebody was giving my back a deep massage (although didn't offset pain), but whenever you turn it up to the next level, it's seriously feels like being tasered 😮, so the boost is great, but the initial jolt for each incremental increase in power is not!
I wouldn't say don't buy this, as it might just not have worked for me and my situation. So try it, and if it doesn't work, Babycare TENS have a very fair 30 day money back offer.
But it's back to the drawing board for me.
