Our first meal from Banquist and cannot rate it highly enough, from Mike Robinson. Generous quantity of first class ingredients, my daughter and I enjoyed cooking along with the video, creating precious time together. The finished results were 3 amazing courses that we didn’t know we were capable of. And must highlight the sous chef on duty for us who was responsive, helpful, knowledgeable and encouraging. Loved everything about it and will be back!

This is the 2nd time we have enjoyed a meal from Banquist. This time a superb meal from Mike Robinson. Ingredients are fresh and of a high quality beautifully packaged and organised by course. The videos are master classes with the Chef- well presented, informative and a chance to see the Chef's personality. We enjoy the chance to learn and master new cooking techniques, and cooking the meal together nearly as much as the fantastic meal al the end of it all.

We absolutely love banquist. The food is exciting and fun, produce high quality and the instructions and video are really cleverly done to make it intuitive and really fun. It’s the perfect balance of knowing you’re going to get a great 3 course meal out of it and learning a few cheffy technique and plating tips. Wine choice is also always on point. 5 stars, love it.

Great experience and enjoyed cooking Simon Hulstone's menu for our 54th wedding anniversary. We had a gift voucher from Christmas from one of our children and decided to use it for this meal as we could go nowhere and was going to be way much better than any takeaway! No doubt we shall use Banquist again and thoroughly recommend it to others.

An excellent experience. The instructions coupled with the helpful and entertaining video presentation made the cooking achievable. The end result was superb. A fantastic all round experience.

Mike Robinson’s menu is our first experience of Banquist. The ingredients were all well packaged and really fresh. We enjoyed watching the video beforehand which was clear and concise as were the written instructions. It also gave you confidence there was a sous chef on hand if needed.
My husband and I had fun cooking the meal together and learned new techniques. The difficulty rating was about right. The meal was delicious and we even made it look good.

Our first Banquist arrived last weekend. Our menu was put together by Mike Robinson, renowned Michelin starred game chef. We had Bullshot tea, Venison scotch eggs, pavé of Wild Fallow Deer with dirty mash and red wine jus followed by Sticky Ginger pudding with toffee sauce, flaming calvados and cream.
My husband and I donned our aprons and went to work. We were very impressed with the quality and freshness of all ingredients and the portion sizes were great! No scrimping at all, in fact, there was more than you needed.
We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, cooking, eating and drinking the excellently paired wine included, it was ALL absolutely delicious! Excellent value too.
We couldn’t fault it if we tried.

I love Banquist boxes. They allow you to cook the most amazing Michelin star chef meals without leaving home. I’ve learnt so many new chef skills and tried new ingredients along the way. Highly recommend if you’re willing to spend the time cooking (and washing up!)

Banquist offers a fabulous cooking experience - great ingredients, bold recipes, and with time and patience, a fantastic meal. I use the word experience deliberately: it’s not box of ready-to-cook ingredients you bung in a pan. Be prepared to spend a good couple of hours prepping and cooking. Sauces and jus in particular can take a while, but are so worth the effort. It’s great to cook along with Michelin-starred chefs; the videos are long, but you pick up lots of great little tips along the way which I’m already using elsewhere. Overall I would rate the experience 5 star.

Great quality food, lots of fun making it together and best bit was eating it! Definitely recommend it for a date night experience and to try something you possibly wouldn’t normally. Instruction video was very good.

A fabulous way to get a Michelin star meal at home, be engaged and immersed in the cooking to enjoy a more participative experience.
Quality of the food and wine were excellent.

Loved the Mike Robinson banquist box. Definitely a favourite and learning new techniques with every experience. Keep them coming!

I’ve tried a few of the heat and serve boxes but really wanted to try something a bit more interactive and I have to say Banquist really hit the mark.

I ordered the Simon Hulstone box (I’m a huge fan of his food he’s a great chef) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The ingredients are of high quality, the instructions very clear and it also gives you access to a video by the chef. The matched wine included in the box was a great match and the cheese which you can add on was simply outstanding. The video is a proper instruction and how to - no cut corners either the video was around an hour in length so very detailed instructions. The difficulty level for the one I bought was 3/5 - it wasn’t difficult at all and I’d like to try a more challenging one next time. Overall I was really happy with the experience and would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys cooking at home. I’ve nothing negative to say about it at all. I’ve ordered the Jeremy Chan box as my next one so am very much looking forward to receiving that.

Banquist deserves yet another five star review.

Having done both the Jitin and Mike Robinson boxes, I can say that the Banquist boxes are a wonderful experience.

These have been quite a bit more effort than "heat and eat" boxes (we've tried Blacklock and Dishpatch, both excellent), rated as 5 and 4/5 for difficulty, but the results have been nothing short of stunning.
I'd say don't be put off by a 5/5 difficulty, it is entirely within the reach of any keen home cook who can follow instructions and a modicum of patience.

If you think these boxes seem a little pricey - we've found them to be worth every penny. The instructions are good (the video tutorials have been excellent, and well worth the time investment, with some great bonus tips thrown in) and they've completely nailed the packaging.
The latter might seem a minor point, but everything arrives in pristine condition, clearly labelled which items belong to which course.

The optional cheese courses, supplied by La Fromagerie, have been sublime too. That's another 5* review in the offing.

This was our first Banquist experience and we really loved it. It was fun to learn new recipes and cooking techniques. We particularly liked the Scotch eggs, dirty mash and red wine jus and the game was superb. If you love cooking you’ll love Banquist....

I received the Sally Abe Banquist box as a birthday present from my son. The whole experience was a joy - the preparation was easy whilst following the excellent video and the resulting meal was so vibrant and tasty and so fitting for this time of year. I only wish my plating skills were as good as Sally's were on the video. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

I absolutely loved the 2 boxes that have bought. This weekend's box by Simon Hulstone was sensational in every respect (including the mountain of washing up!). The Scallops were melt in the mouth and I will be recreating them. And the duck was amazing. Both boxes I have had have used Veal Sauce which I must now find for my own cooking. The instructions are generally clear, and it all comes packaged beautifully. I would highly recommend for a special occasion.

Our 3rd Banquist. We loved the first one (Steve Groves), but we were disappointed by the one from Jitin Joshi as it was not any better than any meal we cook normally. We decided to give it one more go and we weren't disappointed. This week we had Mike Robinson venison menu and it was delicious. We learnt some more techniques and had an exceptional meal. We do find the meals too large for us and always eat the dessert the next day. We will definitely use Banquist again.

We tried the Mike Robinson experience. Worth every penny. Beautiful, fresh ingredients, very clear instruction and a fun video to cook along to. I’m a fairly proficient cook but learnt a lot which I can put to good use for other meals. My husband loved it and we are getting hooked to eating this way. All the excitement and pleasure of fine dining in the comfort of your own home and a learning experience to boot. I love the way the really complicated or time consuming processes are done for you such as making a first-class restaurant quality stock, but it’s not made so easy that it’s just an assembly process. The portions are also very generous. Will definitely order more of these.
