This company is not legitimate, it is a scam. They intercepted our phone call to American Airlines as my husband and I were trying to buy an extra seat if necessary so we could have a seat between us for an overseas flight to have a little room as we both have health issues.
We got a confirmation email but no seat number, flight number. Get to the airport and they have zero record of any of this. My husband is on the phone immediately about cancellation of the ticket as we were told the ‘plane was full’ but when we got on the plane it was so empty people had entire rows to themselves.
As soon as we land in New York he was back on the phone, figured out this was not American we were dealing with, they were posing as an AA agent and he immediately filed a fraud case with our credit card company and with AA. The number was for Bansal travel and the business address on our ‘confirmation email’ is an apartment complex in California. The company itself is registered in India and from the looks of it does a great deal of business scamming unsuspecting travelers that think they are speaking to the business they actually called.
This has to be a huge operation and they must be taking it in, because we have discovered six different numbers that switch to bansal.
We have filed a complaint with the BBB but our credit card is cancelled and it may take 30 days to straighten it out. $1300 that thankfully we had on a credit card and not directly out of pocket, we are not wealthy and that would have ruined us. We live month to month and went on a trip paid for mostly by a family member.
This makes me so angry and angry for the people that haven’t gotten funds back.
Double check with who you’re speaking to and the numbers dialed and be safe out there! If it feels fishy, AT ALL, it probably is!

SCAM! Thought I was speaking with Alaska, but was with them. Was trying to cancel my flight, wanted to charge me $50 to cancel. Luckily, my bank blocked the transaction and I was able to look into things to see it’s a scam. Immediately locked my credit card and went to work with the REAL Alaska to get my refund back to me, not them.
What they will do is cancel your flight, take your $50 and then take your refund certificate.

When you search, the travel agency name comes up as “Qatar (or whatever) helpline number “ on google search. They take advantage of a stressful situation and make you believe you are speaking to the airline company, when you ask them if you are speaking to the airline company. They ask for your DOB and say it in a way that it’s only for confirmation (they don’t have this information). They charge you a lot for something that the actual airline do it free for you (for example if you can’t make it to the flight and you want to switch it to the next one). DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!!

ITS A SCAM! Was trying to book a flight through delta for my son and they made it look like I had the ticket and everything on my app. It’s all fake don’t use this garbage company I will burn this scam company to the ground.

Don’t fall for the scam!!! Somehow they are intercepting calls to airlines and make you believe you are speaking to the airline company. I only tried calling the airlines after I was having trouble booking a flight online through google. The flight prices kept jumping and I would get error messages. They mark up the prices and tell you that’s all that’s available right now because the prices keep jumping up. They will send an email for you to approve but that’s when I seen their name and realized they were a third party company. I’m like how did I get in contact with a third party company. They kept putting me on these long holds while trying to trying to process my payment. That’s when knew something wasn’t right and as I thought started to put it all together it had all the signs of a scam. I hung up the call and tried calling my bank. Luckily my bank sent an alert asking if this was an authorized purchase before paying (I assume it was ran from another country since both men I spoke to had a strong Indian accent, which triggered the fraud flag). I clicked not authorized so my bank blocked the transaction and froze my card. I will cancel the card and get a new one immediately. Of course the scammers called back multiple times trying to get me to finish processing everything but I ignored their calls until they eventually gave up and moved on.

Scam alert! They hi jacked my call to British Airways and tried to charge me triple for seat reservation than what I got through the app! I called British airlines customer support line and Don Smith texted me his direct line so when I called back it went to Bansal Travel! beware

This is a scam but may not be related to Bansal Travel. We called British Airways to confirm our flight and they said the flight was cancelled and we would need to rebook it and pay a fee for changing the flight. We declined and called British Airways again and discovered the flight was not cancelled. If there is a real Bansal travel they need to change their phone number so they don't get blamed.

The worst airline is definitely spirit. Avoid this airline at all the time not a good company plus they lie to the customers. Not professional or definitely with the kids. They make three of my daughter's wait and sleep on the floor for six hours on Orlando airport. Definitely do not spend a penny on this airline.

Bansal Travels is a company that one should not trust. Rather than hold themselves out as a travel agency, Bansal represented themselves as the call through reservation center for Qatar Airways after I had explained that Qatar had canceled my reservation for a second time and needed to re-book me. They then offered to change my reservation for $350/ticket and I foolishly provided all of my information; then I became very suspicious. They said that they would send an email to get my authorization to charge my credit card. While waiting for the email, I dropped the call and contacted Qatar Airways. In the meantime, Bansal went ahead and attempted to charge my credit card, but the card’s fraud department thankfully rejected the charge. We canceled our credit card immediately. I worked with Qatar Airways directly to book the new leg of our trip, which was completed. Then fifteen minutes later, Bansal Travels contacted me, explained that they saw I had booked the new leg, and then threatened that they would cancel my new reservation if I did not pay them the $350/ticket. I refused and Bansal Travels proceeded to cancel my reservation. I had to go back to Qatar Airways and make a new reservation and place a block on the Qatar reservation system so my reservation could not be altered by a third-party. Bansal Travels is absolutely not to be trusted; they are extortionists and frauds.

They pretend to be the airline at times of mass flight cancellations when they are not. They then offer to rebook at a rate higher than the airline rate. They will even cancel a reservation you hold while "checking" it in order to force you to book with them at the higher cost. Avoid at all costs...

I’m seeing a lot of “This is a scam!” reviews and a lot of 5 stars as well. But nothing in between, which in itself was suspicious to me.
I’m not sure what the scam experiences were with these customers, but my experience was very good. They were a little slow to get me a confirmation number, but it was explained that it was because this happens when dealing with third parties. Okay fine.
Bottom line is I got two tickets for a flight across the country and back for cheaper than the major discount web sites, on very short notice at that. Courteous customer service as well.
So overall, quite happy with my experience with this business.

This is a scam! I thought I was talking to Jet Blue but they somehow intercepted the call. They charged me $300 more than the actual airline fare. When I tried to call them at the number I was given, I couldn't get through. Don't fall for this fraud!

It is a scam, I called JetBlue and one person called Jorge tell me he was an agent. He send me text message and asked for my information also he was asking for the information about my flight. The credit card call me and advised it is fraud and I cancel the transaction.
Keep away from them.

Absolutely a scam…they get into airline phone systems and redirect calls to themselves. They did make a flight change at an exorbitant charge. They then stole our CC info. We, also, had called Delta Airlines…but ended up with them.
Our CC company cancelled our cards and their charges.

SCAMMERS. I called Alaska Airlines to cancel my flight due to road closure. I waited on hold via their direct line and then when someone answered, Victor, he said he was an agent that handled cancellations for Alaska Airlines. They said I had to pay a fee for the cancellation and stole my money. Looks like based on other reviews, Alaska Airlines is vulnerable and has a snake scamming its loyal customers.

I think this company is a scam as well. None of the phone numbers work. Hopefully my credit card company refunds me the money.
Edited: since I wrote the first review I have realized that this is a legitimate plane ticket. It shows up in my Delta and I believe that this company has not scammed me. Probably not refundable if I need it to be but as long as you don’t call them on a weekend you should be able to get some service.

He provided excellent customer service and was very knowledgeable.

SCAMMERS. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT GIVING THEM A CALL. EVERYTHING THEY DO IS FRAUDULENT. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND SPEND LARGE AMOUNTS OF YOUR OWN MONEY.

i've been scammed unfortunately because i am so naive to the internet and its tricks. i've lost $2,800 because of this. PLEASE always research before you purchase anything, especially from unknown people/companies.

It is not a travel agency it is a scam agency. You call the airline and don't know how you get connected with these scamsters. They pretend to be the airline but actually are all a bunch of scammers. They rob you off a hefty amount and play with your emotions. When you look up for the actual ticket cost of the airline you will be shocked to see how much they have robbed you and when you try call them and explain the same they start behaving disrespectfully and never refund you your money. Be aware of these bunch of scammers and I don't know how the government doesn't ban such type of fraudsters.
