The constructing of the Assignments Brief are very solid in terms of practicality and information assembling. The tutors and support team are very helpful and easy to reach if any confusion occurs.

Studying with British Academy of Photography has become an absolutely fascinating experience providing a strong foundation in photography, helping shape my vision of photography, understand my aspirations in photography and setting high professional standards for the future work.
It is the easiest task to go through the assignments - often seeming too elaborate - but each assignment completed means a significant chunk of the learning path done, and coming to the final assignment you find yourself at the final point of a journey embracing so many aspects of photography as a profession - from history to philosophies to approaches to techniques to ethics to creativity to organisation to business side - and realise that you are at the starting point of your own journey in photography having an incredibly strong and fine runway for a daring fly so professionally, impeccably and thoughtfully prepared by the British Academy of Photography without missing any details.

Hi the course is really good and it does take your time because it is theory based and research based, I would say if someone is looking for a course that only takes photos then this course is not for you, but I have learnt a lot by doing this course HNC in photography, my tutor Hugo is so helpful and always helping out

I was honestly quite skeptical going into this....but my tutor Hugo is fantastic and is always happy to help. The course has been great and I'm excited to finish it soon. Definitely worth the money and time.

Working through the assignments for my Post Graduate Diploma at the British Academy of Photography has really helped to improve my photography. I've learned a lot about photography that I would not have taken time to study if I hadn't taken the course.

It has been a truly enjoyable experience. I've learned so about photography, not just through coursework, but also through the various opportunities offered by the academy, such as red carpet photoshoots, professional photography assignments, and monthly photography competitions.

I am currently working through a Diploma. I chose the course as it appeared details ticked all the boxes for me and a bonus great value for money. A truly great photography experience so far.
Being a total beginner to photography I found the course details easy to follow with a knowledgeable tutor who offers confidence on hand to support any queries. Tutors remarks always clear, kind, respectful with a gentle approach in guiding you to achieve the best results. Great valuable feedback.
It is certainly helping my creative mind, alongside an increasing knowledge of techniques and an element so far with being able to keep up with changing technology.
I have found all assignments so far enjoyable, portrait, lighting, still life and working on an album cover assignments all a great learning experiences.
I am already confident with my camera on manual mode to be myself, believe in what I do and able to tell stories without compromising my work, style and a desire to do better. I am only half way through.
Overall a great choice - stimulating and good fun.

Just completed the portrait assignment and I must say that this has been a great learning experience. I have learnt all about the history of lighting, researched and discovered many portrait photographers, set up a basic studio and undertaking some portrait shots using various lighting patterns (Rembrandt, split, short, broad, butterfly, loop, high key). I have taken environmental shots with challenging lighting conditions and spent valuable time post processing my images to good effect. No way would I have been able to access something like this without BAPH. Looking forward to the next assignment.

I have found my course really rewarding and have learnt an enormous amount from the time I have spend studying for my diploma. Everyone has been very supportive including the tutors and support team so thanks very much to everyone at BAPH!!!

Challenging course, so you need to invest the time, but very flexible set up that can fit in with other commitments/personal circumstances if you plan well.

I absolutely love studying with BAPH the tutors are great, always on hand to help with any questions and their feedback is always clear and thorough. I signed up for the HNC but will definitely be progressing with the HND and maybe even go on to do the full degree.

I am currently studying HND in Photography through the British Academy of Photography. As it is a distance learning home study course I was worried it would be difficult to navigate. I was so wrong! The support from my tutor, student support and also the student community has been fantastic. The website and content is so easy to navigate, everything is laid out so well and is easy to navigate intuitively. I have currently completed 4 assignments so far and the knowledge I am gaining is wonderful. I would highly recommend taking the plunge to study with The British Academy of Photography. I am so glad I did!

If you want to improve your photography do not do the online postgraduate diploma.

If you want to spend months maybe even years doing pointless research then this is the course for you.

After posting a honest review of my own personal experience of this course I was offered money by BAPH to remove my comment. This not only calls into question the reliability of the posts here but also the integrity of BAPH.

I enrolled in the Certificate Home Study Course and found it very interesting and helpful in improving my photographic skills, I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to improve there photographic skills and knowledge, together with a Certificate on completing the course with a sense of achievement

If you want to study photography in a distance learning environment - and you do not fear exploring the depth there is - meaning you are willing to put some effort ( & time) in and go the extra mile - then you are at the right place. The tutors are also friendly, interested in your success and judge your assignments fair. You get professional feedback, and that is very important. So, if a professional degree is what you are seeking, then you have found a place to earn it. Looking back since I started, I feel I did a good investment for my future.

What I really enjoy about this course is how it has really expanded my knowledge of photography, historic and contemporary and pushed me far further with the camera than I probably would have done of my own volition. The tutors are extremely friendly and helpful and the same applies to the support staff I have spoken with. The online community is also on hand to offer great tips, advice and inspiration.

I give the course 4 out of 5 stars as a few of the assignment questions can be a little vague. Assignment 3 in particular, was a challenging one, but on reflection, I did learn a lot from it and it was worth persevering with.

If anyone is considering enrolling on this course, I would certainly recommend it,
